Apartment overview - owner's description

This very comofortable one bedroom Apartment has sea views to the left over the new marina from the balcony that benefits from afternoon and evening sunshine.

The complex of Aguamarina is pristine with a stunning pool area that literally sits over the Atlantic. It has lifts to every floor and is wheelchair friendly.

The apartment is comfortably furnished.The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.

The lounge consists a sofa bed,a dining room table and 4 chairs, and Satellite television with BBC1 and ITV. There are patio doors leading to the large balcony.

The bedroom consists of a double bed, fitted wardrobes and a chest of drawers. It also has patio doors leading to the balcony. The fully tiled bathroom is extremely fresh and clean.

The apartment has wifi and a safe.

The Aguamarina Complex is very safe and secure as the main doors to reception are kept locked. It is very well maintained and each floor is cleaned every day.

The complex is extremely well situated for all local amenities. Opposite is a well stocked supermarket and an Irish Bar that shows all the major Sporting events by day and has some good quality live acts in the evening. At the front of the complex, and overlooking the new marina there is a picturesque sea front promenade with some typically Spanish restaurants and bars.

Within 500 yards there is a good quality gym, sauna, jacuzzi and beauty salon.

The main resort centre area called "San Blas" is a very pretty 10-15 minutes walk along the sea front. Here you will find a large selection of good quality bars and restaurants, many with evening entertainment, all set within 3 picturesque squares. San Blas also has Doctors, chemists, banks and some lovely boutiques for those who like a shop!

The other side of "San Blas" is the Spanish fishing village of "Los Abrigos" which is reported to have some of the best fresh fish restaurants on the island.

We have marked down from a full set of 5 stars for the following reasons:-
The photo showed twin beds however it was a double.
The afternoon sun on the balcony is only 2hrs at xmas, we were expecting longer.
The owner forgot to tell us that the main pool was being refurbished. The pool in the adjacent block however was excellent & heated, access through the shop or laundry only 50m away from the lift, side access of our block.
There were some pesky mites which kept trying to invade the worktops but only if food was left out!
Facilities would have been 5 star had the pool been in operation.
Strangely we could only get Sky-TV in the bedroom not in the lounge.
We recommend this apartment to any couple expecting a double bed.

Thank you for the 4 star review and I am glad you would be happy to recommend the apartment. I am sorry that the pool was still being refurbished when you arrived, this was due to be finished by Christmas but will now be finished by the end of January (2017).
Sorry for not letting you know that we have recently changed the bed to a double. This was after the last review that mentioned the hard mattresses on the twin beds.
I am not sure why you could only get SKY in the bedroom but all the normal UK channels (BBC, ITV etc) are available on the main TV.
The balcony does get some very nice afternoon and evening sun but obviously less so in the depths of winter.

Apart from the hard matress, we enjoyed our stay, and liked the view from the balcony.
