A renovated 1st floor apartment at the foot of the old town of Salobrena with WiFi. You wont get a better spot for your money than this. It is old town living without the chore of climbing the hill after a night out. There are numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants all within a couple of minutes walk. Several large supermarkets are within a 5 minute walk away along with banks all with cash point machines.There is ample parking outside. The beach is 7 minute walk away and there are ample bars and restaurants all with fee tapas.allthough a non-smoking apartment you only need to step on to the balcony to induige. this property would suit those looking for a simple spanish llifestyle with the bars offering free tapas with drinks, sit back and relax

Apartment Details
There is a fully fitted kitchen, with oven gas hob, fridge freezer and washing machine. the bathroom has a walk in shower with a multi head power shower. The lounge / diner has doors that open onto a long balcony looking down onto the street. There is UK SATELLITE FREEVIEW TV ,and a dvd player. There is a doube bedroom and 2 twin rooms both with a single bed and a single pull out bed underneath. This first floor apartment has one neighbour on the 2nd floor who are spanish and live in granada.They spend 2 weeks in the summer at the apartment. The large roof terrace has chairs along with a large 6 seater table .With a food preperation area and bbq this is an ideal place to soak up the sun or dine in to the night. With views of the old town to keep you company.

Getting to and From
There are excellent bus services around the town and along the coast to the towns and villages and major cities, including airport connections. A car is not essentail as all amenities are within a short walk away.
An Airport shuttle service can be arranged as can A 15% car hire discount with Helle Hollis.

We stayed here for 4 nights and found it to be a very comfortable, spacious apartment. It was the third one we stayed in in our holiday in Andalucia and was by far the best equipped - particularly in the kitchen, where there was everything needed to cook. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of storage space. The flat had UK satellite TV programmes, and plenty of books and DVDs in English, along with CDs and boardgames - so plenty to keep you amuded in the evenings!

The apartment was well situated at the bottom of the historic part of Salobrena - the walk up hill was well worth it for the views form the castle. The beach was close too.
The nearest bar (Miramar) was a delightful locals bar, with a card school most nights. 2 drinks and a tapas was 3 euro (£2.50) - so a bargain too! We didnt try any of the restaurants in town as I cooked in but there aseemed to be a reasonable choice.

We hired a car (from DoYouSpain - £33 for 12 days!) and so were able to visit the Alpujarras with ease, which was lovely.. Granada is only an hour away and Nerja is close by and pleasant enough. We spoke to other people staying in town who said that they were able to get around by bus, so a car wouldnt be vital. If you do have one, we had no problem parking outside the flat or just round the corner, and because the flat is at the foot of the hill, the streets were a lot easier to negotiate than in some towns we visited. I found Salobrena to be the ideal choice on the coast though - you definitely have a feel (and particularly staying in this location) of being in a real Spanish town rather than a tourist hell hole).

All in all we had a very pleasant saty and I highly recommend this flat.

Went in June 2011, property is excellent and exceeded all our expectations. We had a slight problem which was dealt with swiftly without any interruption to our holiday. There is a bit of noise as it is a small village and the apartment is very local with local residents nearby but its the Spanish culture. A great place to explore the village and close to the beach. The apartment has everything you need for a holiday, especially impress with the kitchen. In fact, it feels more like walking into a home than a holiday apartment! Granada is definitely worth visiting especially the Alhambra Palace, the drive from Solabrena alone is worth it, the view is fantastic!

We went for a winter break at the end of January and found the appartment and the area ideal and relaxing. Even in January, it was warm enough to relax in the beach and swim in the sea. I cant wait to go back. Its a breath of fresh air for those looking for the real Spain with the sand and sea, but still near enough to the mountains for skiing and a short transfer from the airport. The appartment itself was spacious and had all the facilities youd expect, all in very good order. Location wise it couldnt be better placed, with a local bar right opposite and then plenty of other good bars and restaurants within a very short walk yet still being peaceful. The main town is unspoilt by tourism and the locals make you feel very welcome and the prices reflect the local identity. I went in the off season and still found plenty to see and do and there seems to be even more to do in the summer period. Very highly recomended.
