This really is a superb location in which to spend a holiday. For those seeking a relaxing holiday amid wonderfully tranquil scenery this villa offers the perfect setting. Reached by 600 metres of rough track (a normal car hire is suitable), the house is set in a finca of 8,000 square metres, in the foothills of the Sierra Tejeda-Almijara.
Casa Las Jaras is a newly constructed villa with private pool (8 x 4m 1.4 - 1,9 m deep.). It has a delightful feeling of comfortable seclusion about it -yet it is perfectly situated for visits to the Málaga coast, while the historic city of Granada would make an excelelent day trip. It sands near the old Moorish village of Archez, approximately 30 minutes from the coast, and is set in the magnificent landscape of the Sierra Tejeda mountains, surrounded by vine-covered hills and a valley sweeping down to the sparkling blue sea in the distance. The surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for walking, particularly in the cooler months and Spring.
All on one level, this house is ideal for anyone looking for a lazy, relaxing holiday well away from the madding crowd but near enough to the villages of Archez, Canillas de Albaida and Competa for enjoying a night out in one of the many bars and restaurants.
The front shaded terrace has a built-in barbecue at one end and is ideal for outside dining whilst enjoying the panoramic views of the countryside (Natural Park). The Natural Park Sierra Tejeda-Almijara is a carefully preserved area of spectacularly natural beauty teeming with wildlife including deer, mountain goats, hawks and eagles. As well as heaven for nature-lovers, the park is also a walkers paradise. For a day on the beach, the sandy beaches of the Costa del Sol are not far away.
Casa Las Jaras and the swimming pool area in particular, is in an enviable location, taking full advantage of the sweeping scenery and the hot Andalucían sun, tempered throughout this area by the altitude and the fresh mountain breezes. Its geographical location and the beauty of its scenery, makes this area a wonderful place for a holiday at any time of year. The villa is beautifully situated and perfect for rest, relaxation and really recharging the batteries.
For those who like to combine the usual holiday pursuits of swimming and sunbathing with some history and culture, there is plenty to see in this area.

If you are looking for a peaceful holiday away from it all then this is definitely worth booking
A well appointed and equipped villa in beautiful surroundings but only 10 mins from the nearest village.
Many hours were spent by the pool enjoying the spectacular views and enjoying the peace and quiet, Virtually the only sound we could hear were the insects in the surrounding countryside.
Sebastian was incredibly friendly and helpful and although we had a minor problem with the air conditioning not working properly he couldn't have tried harder to ensure it was fixed as soon as possible and It certainly didn't spoil our stay.
We would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks here. The house is gorgeous and the location is superb. if you're looking for total peace and quiet you'll love Casa Las Jaras. The only sounds were the droning of insects and birdsong. We saw eagles virtually every day and occasionally shared the swimming pool with thirsty house martins! We only left the house when we had to pick up more provisions. Next time, we'll do a huge shop so we don't need to leave at all. Thanks Sebastian and Isobel, we loved Casas Las Jaras!!
We loved our week at Casa Las Jaras. The villa is just as described, in a beautiful, serene and secluded mountain setting with stunning views. The accommodation surpassed our expectations; the villa is spotlessly clean. As the evenings were cool during our stay, we made use of the cosy log fire. The days were lovely and warm though, so we were able to make use of the pool and outdoor barbecue area. We chose to eat at home most days; the kitchen is the best-equipped one I've ever come across in a holiday home. We found the approach road to the villa a bit tricky in our rental car, however Sebastian does warn of that in the advert for the villa. I'd definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive in future. And we felt very well looked after by Sebastian. He was always unobtrusive, but attentive to our needs. The area around the villa is truly beautiful; if you come to stay it's well worth bringing hiking boots to make the most of the Parque Natural on the villa's doorstep. We have already highly recommended the villa to friends and family and hope to return again soon!
Casa Las Jaras is a fantastic property if you want seclusion, peace and privacy. The location is perfect if you enjoy hiking, with walks from the house or a short drive to many other walking routes, we were spoilt for choice. Sebastian was extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. Although he lives a short distance from the property he is always available if you need help or advice. The house itself is extremely well equipped and maintained and we really didn't lack anything. We would recommend this lovely home if you are looking for a relaxing holiday and a beautiful location.

Entry to the house is into the light and airy, open-plan living/dining room with fireplace,T.V. set ) and DVD player, radio with audio tape and CD player the well-equipped kitchen is separated by an American style breakfast bar. The two bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) have built-in wardrobes and are comfortably furnished with top quality beds. A baby cot and a highchair can be provided on request at no extra cost. There is a large fireplace and also an air conditioned machine in the living room and several electric heaters -mobile radiators- and fans for the bedrooms and bathroom, making this an ideal choice at any time of the year. The ceramic floors, beamed ceilings and good quality furniture are not only indicative of the owners good taste but also their eagerness to ensure that their guests are comfortable in their surroundings.
