Things To Do..........
Sagra offers a relaxing holiday close to an unspoiled beach where the sound of sea birds and the gentle lapping of the waves makes this a tranquil paradise unlike the typical Spanish resort holiday.

If you are happy with the local amenities and the comprehensive selection of restaurants within reasonable walking distance then a car is not essential for your holiday, but to fully appreciate what the area has to offer, then a hire car can provide the key to the regions glorious treasures.

There is a bus service to the nearest towns of Denia and Javia, with the nightlife of Benidorm and Calpe just a 30 minute drive away.

The Costa Blanca coastline is world famous for its excellent beaches and golfing facilities. However, there is so much more to do than just bask in the sunshine. This part of Spain has been occupied by many different peoples over the centuries, each leaving their own historical influences on the area. As a result, the region is home to some stunning cultural landmarks: castles overlooking the sea ancient villages impressive cities, all built and added to by many conquering races. There is also some stunning countryside, including the largest palm grove in Europe at nearby Elche.

So why not explore some of these treasures during your stay. We would include among them Alicante Torrevieja, Elche, Orihuela and - especially for the kids - Terra-Mitica. Around 2hrs drive north along the AP-7 is the city of Valencia, the 3rd largest in Spain, and well worth a visit. However, the real ‘must-see’ of the area has to be (in our opinion), the tiny village of Guadalest, inland from Benidorm. Carved out of the mountain, access to the village is through one very small and narrow entrance, a fascinating and truly unique example of local Spanish heritage.

There are several golf courses in the area the nearest being 15 mins from the house just outside Denia. La Sella, Oliva and Javea golf courses are all approximately 20 minute drive. La Sella Golf Course at the 5 Star Marriott Hotel, is an exceptionally beautiful, scenic and peaceful 18 hole golf course with great dining facilities.

The house is especially well located at the mid point of the golfing mecca. Here, you will find easy access to the local courses, with an even greater choice being available via the nearby motorway network.

There are some pistes at Valdelinares and Javalambre resorts in the mountains above Teruel. This is approx 2 hours drive away.

To allow you to plan your break, all of the above information can be provided prior to your stay upon completion of your booking request.

Car Hire/Flights
For details of low cost airlines that fly into both Alicante & Murcia Airports, we recommend using the flight checker facility at skyscanner. Please note that we are happy to receive bookings for arrivals and departures on any day to allow you to take advantage of the cheapest flights around. Tip Use the Skyscanner monthly search facility to find the cheapest flights available.

We would highly recommend hiring a car to fully take advantage of all the fantastic sites and endless list of things to do on the Costa Blanca. They act as a broker for a number of car hire companies, allowing you to reserve a vehicle online and pay for it locally when you pick it up.

Stayed Monday 14 August 2006
We spent 4 weeks in an unusually cold but sunny January at Font Santa. The owners had just been staying there themselves and made sure that it was beautifully warm and welcoming. The house is in a quiet street in the heart of the typical Spanish village of Sagra. The countryside around is delightful, with a choice of dramatic mountain valleys to explore. It is also in easy reach of the coast - and, for birdwatchers, an extensive area of marshland nature reserve. For those who want to experience real Spain its a far cry from the villa estates further south, where foreigners make up more than half of the population.
The property is well maintained apart from a leak from the kitchen sink, which needs attended to. It was extremely hot when we were there and the property has no air-conditioning. There is a nice pool which we used frequently and as only a few of the properties are occupied we had the pool practically to ourselves. Sagra is a lovely village with very friendly people, it has a handful of shops with everything you need, 3 bars and a restaurant but you definitely need a car, Gandia/Oliva and Denia beaches are a must but there are many others to explore in the area. We would use the property again.
The house is in probably the nicest village in the Jalon Valley, surrounded by orange trees, and nice walks, the views from the front balcony are spectacular. The house has all you need for an easy self catering holiday. The neighbours are friendly and helpful, the Spanish people all said hello, the lady who runs the bakery was particulary nice, and the post office, which is only open from 9.30 - 10 am is a must to visit. I am happy to recommend it to anyone who would like to stay in a lovely village surrounded by great scenery, not too far from the sea at Denia and Javea.
a very nice - excellently furnished house. We all felt very comfortable. Descriptions had been accurate so no real surprises. A quiet, relaxing location - but within easy reach of beaches, bigger towns when necessary. welcomed by owners friends, they were there for help if we needed it. All enjoyed a lovely holiday thank you
We stayed at this house with my two children. We had a fantastic family holiday. The town of Sagra is very Spanish, the people there are very friendly. Unlike other parts of Spain, this is completely unspoilt by tourism, and it has lots of charm and a true Spainish feel! My two children are in their late teens, they had agreat time, and i personally felt they were safe, as the local towns of Denia and Javia are very classy places, unlike Benidorm where i would of been worried about them. The house has excellent furniture, and has all facilities for you to live there for short or long lets. Also what I found, was that alot of the other houses on the complex have been bought by people who are using them for their own personal use, so the people living there are very friendly, and they have lots of respect for the complex, which keeps it to a high standard. We actually made new friends on the complex! I have already booked in for two weeks next year, which we are really looking forward to. We made alot of nice memories and would recommend this place to anyone interested in a true family holiday.

Just got back from a 5 night stay at this property. The house benefits from being in the heart of a true Spanish Village. The people there are very friendly, the house itself was like a showhome in pristine condition. A car was essential to view the hidden treasures of this part of Spain.Would not hesitate in recommending this property! We're already thinking of a return trip later this year.
We atayed at Font Santa recently, and enjoyed our stay very much. The accommodation was first class, everthing we needed was provided. A very restfull holiday and freindly people. To hire a car was easy we were able to visit some nice places the real Spain. We would go again and recommend it a a friend.
My wife and I stayed her in January and would highly recommend this facility to everyone. It is brand new, set in a typical unspoiled Spanish surrounding. The house is very tastefully furnished, clinically clean and has all the comforts of home. The complex has predominantley British clients, some who are resident. We found them to be very helpful and typically friendly and charming, pointing us in the right directions for shops etc. No problems at all. We have found a little niche that we we happily return to. It is so nice and comfortable we did not wat to come home.
Very nice accomodation. Has all home comforts for cosy nights in. We hired a car at Alicante Airport, Sagra is straight forward to find, plus it was handy to see all the coastal towns like denia and calpe. there is a massive selection of local restaurants which serve fantastic food. there is one called Pepes which unfortuantely we were unable to get a table for the complete duration of our hols. It came highly recommended as being the best in Spain!! I cant wait to book again into the house and try the food there! As a whole is was a great hol. Definately recommend it!
Just returned home after staying in Font Santa and must write to thank the owners for the best holiday in Spain we have ever had. The House is wonderful, everything you need is right there. We normally holiday in the more populated holiday towns of Spain but after staying in Orba we will certainly return, (hoping for a second visit this year) the neighbours are so friendly and informative and local restaurants very reasonable and excellent food. The first week was spent relaxing on the beach with a little wining and dining, The second week we hired a car and discovered the other side of Spain it was mind blowing not to mention the money we saved not being charged tourist prices in the main resorts, it paid for the car in the end. Thanks again. Ian & Jon.
I stayed at Font Santa in March 2007. I was very impressed with the accommodation. The house is set in a beautiful location. Views of the mountains from the balcony of the master bedroom are spectacular. The bedrooms are spacious with more than enough wardrobe space. The kitchen is fully equipped and there are also laundry facilities. The terrace to the rear of the house is lovely as it gets the sun for most of the day. This house is situated just outside the main towns but within a short driving distance to some nice restaurants and bars. I have no hesitation in recommending this house to other interested guests.Samantha Holloway, Hyde, Cheshire
