Casa Olivais set on the hillside of La Marquesa Golf Course situated between Rojales and Ciudad Quesada and set just a ten minute drive from the divine waters of Guardamar del Segura and La Marina beaches and only a 30 minute drive from airports at Alicante and Murcia.

There are plenty of traditional and international restaurants, bars and newsagents in the direct and surrounding areas. Rojales has three major supermarkets which are a 5 min drive away. Both villages also offer a number of other services including banks, doctors, internet cafes and ferreterras.



The Villa
Accommodation includes a good sized lounge & dining room with two sofas, dining table, UK Satellite TV, Radio and CD player and air conditioning.

The kitchen comes fully equipped with touch ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. There is also a filter tap for drinking water.

Utility room houses washing machine, cloths dryer, iron and ironing board.

The villa has two double bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. Both rooms have fitted closets and night tables.

There are two bathrooms one comprising WC, wash basin, bath, shower and bidet and the second having a walk in shower , WC and wash basin.

Outside the property is a private garden with driveway and off road parking, front terrace with garden furniture and a secluded roof solarium

The property also benefits from a large communal pool.


Surrounding towns and places of interest
Rojales

Rojales is a traditional farming village which lies on the Segura River in the heart of the Vega Baja valley which has amazing views of the Crevillente and Callosa mountains. In order to optimize agricultural production it concentrates on growing citrus fruits which account for 70% of the cultivated land.

There are plenty of sports facilities which make it possible to practice such as bowling, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis and swimming. The major sport of the Costa Blanca is golf, of which Rojales is home to La Marquesa. This 18 hole course spans 5.840 meters and has facilities including practice courses, golfing school, social club and plenty of restaurants.

The history of the town dates back from the time of the Moors. The water wheel was built at the end of the last century and is protected by monumental stone work to stave off the damages of river flooding which is still working to this day.

One of the most representative symbols of Rojales is the 18th century of bridge of Charles III which is characterised by the workmanship of the stonework crossing the Segura River using three wide arches.

One of the most interesting features in Rojales are the cave dwellings which date back to the middle of the 19th century. Today there are four districts of cave houses. They are located at the sides of several hills surrounding the south of the town. You can visit the caves of El Rodeo where t his is an extensive handcrafts market. It has become a hub of activity where courses, fairs and exhibitions of all things handmade are organised.

A must see is the House of Shells which is the work of Manuel Fullenda Alcarazs patience and perseverance. This can be found next to the caves of El Rodeo. Manuel will welcome you into his home for a friendly tour.


Benijofar

Benijofar is a small village next to Rojales which over the past few years has been transformed from a run down village to a desirable place to set up home. Market day is on Tuesdays.

Quesada

Ciudad Quesada is a small town with plenty of restaurants and bars, banks, chemists, supermarkets, newsagents and China Bazars.

Torrevieja

Torrevieja is a bustling town on the Costa Blanca coast. Many traders are now located 5 minutes out of town to Centro Commercial. Visit the open air Haberneras shopping mall with plenty of high street names and Carrefour, the largest hypermarket in the area.

Stayed Sunday 02 February 2014 with Couple
A lovely bright-villa on an urbanization set in the hills. The villa itself was comfortable, clean, well furnished and well maintained with everything we needed. Taking our break in early February we knew it could get chilly so went prepared with appropriate clothing and a hot water bottle. The villa itself had plenty of outside space and off-road parking all of which was pleasant and tidy. Deception of villa was pretty spot on however I would describe terrace more as south east facing, which was ok as evenin the low winter sun we breakfasted on the terrace , once or twice in shirt sleeves on 10 out of 12 mornings which was a real bonus we didnt expect.. The communal pool area was accessible, even if too cold for us to swim in, and lovely to sit beside to enjoy the sunshine. As to location there are some steep hills making the local supermarket (v.good) too far for us to walk to therefore the car was essential. Local bars and restaurants or bad at all with a reasonable choice (fish n chips at Flannigans were superb. Possibly why we couldnt manage hills that easily) . Hairdressers deserve a mention as well, really happy with stylish haircut. Some lovely beaches and walks within a short drive at La Marina and Guadamar. All in all an excellent break.

This villa is in an excellent location, it was very clean and furnished well. The communal pool was within easy walking distance and was also clean. We would certainly book this villa again and recommend it to friends.
