The Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Spain and has been attracting UK tourists to its beautiful beaches since the 1950s. It offers the perfect mix of sun, sand and exciting night-life but is also a great place to go for culture and a taste of traditional Spain. As this particular area has been welcoming tourists for such a long time, our trend has been to provide very well furnished and decorated accommodation, and even the simplest villas offer a very high standard. Areas like Los Montesinos, Algorfa, San Miguel and Dolores are particularly well known for their beautiful church's and local plazas. We are specialists in providing holiday accommodation in all of these, and many other area. You will benefit from fantastic Villas with private pools and private terraces, luxury apartments with roof top pools and solarium's, also Villa complex's for entire family's holidays.
Although renowned for its beach holidays Costa Blanca is becoming more and more popular with cyclists, walkers, painters and nature lovers. Small towns like Los Montesinos, Algorfa and Dolores offer a real taste of the Spanish countryside while still being close to the bigger resorts like Torrevieja, and Guardamar Del Segura if you fancy a night out. By renting through us in these areas you get the peace and tranquillity of rural Spain right on your doorstep with bustling night-life just a short drive away. The Costa Blanca has always been hugely popular with families and we can offer great value for a family of six, four or even a couple of families sharing. The kids can go wild at the many water parks, while keen golfers will be in paradise as the area boasts some of the best courses in Spain. So whether you want to chill out on the beach with a book for two weeks or explore the orange groves and colourful orchards in the mountains, put Costa Blanca top of your list for holiday destinations this year.

Car hire is recomended, and we can arrange this for you, however there are shops, bars , and restaurants within walking distance, and the quaint Spanish town of Rojales with its interesting cave houses and weekly street market is only a few minutes walk, also the spanish village of Benijofar with a weekly street market selling fresh home grown produce, is only a few minutes walk. The area surrounding Rojales Hills has everything from beautiful clean blue flag beaches to a vast array of bars & restaurants. It also has many golf courses 3 within 10 minutes drive away at La Marquesa (Ciudad Quesada) Villa Martin, Las Ramblas & Campoamour all pay & play but its best to book (Garry can arrange special discounts for golfers). Cycle hire is available with a free delivery service direct to the villa. Details are in the information folder
The nearest large coastal town is Guardamar Del Segura with its European Blue Flag Beaches and is only 10 minutes drive, with a good range of shops, a weekly market plus a large marina with a promenade which holds regular evening craft fairs.
The property is on a large urbanisation (mostly Brits and a mix of homes and holiday use) but is only a 15 minute walk to the entrance to the development with several good restaurants, cafes and shops (although uphill on the way back). The supermarket is just a little further away. Overall a car is a must to enjoy the property and the area.
The property was very good, size was fine for the four intended occupants and was great for just us two.The communal pool is the other side of the adjoining bungalow so really convenient. The pool is a very good size and six sunbeds are provided as well as stone seating. On about half the times we used the pool we had it to ourselves and that was in mid-August.
There was no tv on our visit and we did not have a problem with that as there were lots of dvds available and others could be bought in a charity shop in Quesada ( a 10 minute drive away with many bars shops cafes and restaurants almost entirely Uk focused) for 50 cents.
Management of the property by Garry was excellent. Our flight was delayed and having reported that by telephone he said we would arrive at the property after the shops had shut so he went off and bought us some basics for our arrival. Although it was arranged we would meet Garry at the property, he was sat in the nearest village looking out for us and waved frantically but I thought it was a scam and ignored him but he chased us in his car and eventually pulled alongside and told us who he was! One of the a/c units was a problem but Garry arrived the nexr day and got it fixed the same day, top service.

As we were upgraded to No. 11, I cant comment on "Villa Dorothy". However, our villa was all we had expected. It was spotlessly clean and had all the bits and pieces promised in the advert. Garry Oliver met us "on the road" just outside Benimar and we went in convoy to the villa. It was great to know he was there should we need him. In fact we didnt.
Fab weather, great pool - we were often the only couple in it - and supermarket/restaurants close by.
Only one point - no egg cups!!! We would have bought some and donated them if we could have found them - maybe they dont do boiled eggs in Spain.

We took our two daughters (ages 6 & 9) on their first holiday abroad to Villa Dorothy in Benimar 2. The villa is clean and well maintained and for the price we paid in comparison to other areas it was great value. I had expected this to be exactly what it was from the descriptions given and I have already started to recommend it to friends and familly. If you are adventurious you can venture out futher than the surrounding villages and amazing water park which is a ten minute walk. There is amazing shopping facilities and trips all over the costa. This hloiday villa will be great for relaxation or adventure, it can be what you want to make it. I did not hire a car as Garry picked us from the airport and back, he even took me to the local super market when we first arrived to get a few needy things. In the middle of the week he took us into Guardamar for a day at the market and we visited the local park and beach. I do not have a bad thing to say about villa Dorothy and the people who looked after us. As for older people I would suggest having Garry pick you up and dro p off at the airport but do have a car hire available for venturing out. I would also suggest taking your euros over there wiyth you as there is no difference at the banks over there. The Cambio are few and far between. **** four stars out of five for us. Thanks Garry and Susan for looking after my children and I.. Rob
About the owner
Susan and myself have lived in Spain for ten years, within that time we have managed properties for our customers and friends. We manage some of the Properties that are listed with villa renters, and have been successful in helping them make the high star grades, for instance we manage casa Louise in Playa Flamenca, this villa with our input now is rated very high. We now have La Yuka villa this is one of our own, and with the experience we have gained, we have purposely equipped this villa with the holiday maker in mind. Hope you enjoy it.
