Villas, apartments and cottages for rent in Punta Mujeres

Punta Mujeres is a small fishing village on the east coast of north Lanzarote, known for its quiet, local atmosphere, ocean views and volcanic landscape. Located next to Arrieta resort, just a half hour drive from Lanzarote Airport, it is a great base to explore the surrounding region and enjoy a low-key holiday away from the main tourist crowds.

Discover a 2km stretch of rugged coastline, home to pretty natural pools and lava formed lagoons where families can enjoy snorkeling and a refreshing swim. In the village's centre there is a scattering of sandy coves with colourful shoals of fish and coral life, while the old town has a traditional charm, where most of the bars and restaurants have a mix of locals and tourists who want to enjoy an authentic cuisine washed down with a regional wine. There is also a Saturday morning local craft market and a sprinkling of shops where you can can pick up artisan-made souvenirs.

Unwind on Playa La Garita beach in Arietta with its pier connecting to Tias village. Also on your to-do list should be La Cueva de los Verdes (the Green Caves) in Arietta, Jameos del Agua’s lava caves and Mirador del Rio art and culture centre in Haria, with a clifftop viewpoint designed by César Manrique, overlooking the Chinijo archipelago.
