The beautiful Bay of Mazarron boasts more than 35km of coastline with long sandy beaches and unspoilt coves, surrounded by picturesque mountains. This privileged coastline boasts 320 days of sunshine a year with average winter temperatures of 18 degrees rising to 27 degrees in the summer.

Puerto de Mazarron enjoys a relaxed tranquility for 10 months of the year but becomes a very busy Spanish resort for the peak summer months with abundant nightlife ..

Take a stroll down the tree lined promenade or around the busy streets of the port and you will find many bars and restaurants offering a range of cuisine and local wines served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Then spend the rest of your night at a beach bar under the stars or dance in one of the new discos. There is a new Marina with shops,bars and restaurants and impressive boats to view.

If you are looking for a holiday in an unspoilt part of Spain where the Spanish still holiday then this is the place for you.

The area has had alot of investment over the past few years and has transformed into a cosmopolitan centre whilst still retaining its rustic charm.

The prices in the bars and restaurants are still low compared to other parts of Spain; as this is primairily a working town and a Spanish tourist resort.

There is a wide variety of things to do.

The apartment is ideally situated for a quiet,relaxing beach holiday with bars and restaurants within walking distance. For the more active there is:
diving fishing sailing walking jet skiing horse riding water skiing go carting
shopping historical interests swimming sunbathing.

Tin mines just outside of port where the workings can still be seen.

Sierra Espuna National Park where you will find clear water fountains and breath taking scenery taking in the sights of Totana,Aledo and Lorca .

Guns of Mazarron in L’Azohia, a fortress used in the film the Guns of Navarone.

City of Murcia, a delightful and unspoilt Spanish city where good food, fine living and nightlife can be found.

Cartegena, a historical port that dates back over 3000 years.Tere is also an excellent shopping centre.

Restaurants: In most you will find seafood,fish,and meat dishes. There is also a selection of Italian and Chinese with a couple of English and Indian.There are of course Spanish tapas bars which also offer good menu de la dia(menu of the day) which is a fixed price menu including drinks and is a very inexpensive way to sample local cuisine.


There is a good selection of supermarkets near by and an indoor market offering locally produced fresh fish,meat,fruit and vegetables at reasonable prices. Supermarket shopping is cheaper than the UK.

Residencial La Isla del Puerto is a new complex built opposite the safe sandy beach of La Isla where you can walk 50metres into the sea and the clear,warm water is still only up to your waist. This 5 year old apartment (1st floor with lift) is furnished and maintained to a high standard. There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom both with ample wardrobe space. There are two shower rooms/wc for your convenience.The kitchen is well equiped (including a washing machine) and leads into the lounge/diner(with double sofabed) which leads onto the large balcony with spectacular sea views.The apartment is 50 metres from the beach,food shop,internet cafe and Miramar Restaurant(excellent seafood and fish restaurant overlooking the sea ). There is a large communal pool with separate children’s pool, entry phone system and large communal roof solarium with great views of the bay and mountains.
Air conditioning keeps it cool inthe summer and heating keeps it warm in the winter.
The apartment is on the 1st floor, with a lift and is a level 10 minute walk to the port making it an ideal base for families with children and the elderly.
However 10 minute walk in the other direction leads you to numerous disco bars that stay open into the early hours of the morning.
The apartment in in a quiet residencial area so although it is within easy reach of all amenities it is very peaceful at night.

Restricted mobility (property is accessed via lift with ramps in foyer. there is no bath only shower in each bathroom. It is a flat walk to the town centre and all reataurants and bars. Apartment was very nice, and contained everything you would need for a very comfortable stay and was exellent value. there is a small critisim however, the pictures on the web page do not relate to the actual apartment, which is located in a seperate block next to residential la lsla. i would suggest more detailed directions. other than that the area is good and the beach was great and the sea was warm and very safe for bathing.

Please note the pictures on the web page ARE of the actual apartment for rent. The apartment is in BLOQUE 1 which IS part of Residencil LA Isla complex and enjoys use of ALL the facilities. The apartment is outside the walled area of the complex which is accessed via agate opposite apartment entrance, we feel it makes access to apartment easier as there are no gates to negotiate when returning from a night out or a day at the beach.I HAVE UPDATED ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS SI IT IS CLEAR WHERE TO FIND THE APARTMENT

We stayed here for 10 days in September 2011. First of all I would like to say prior to our trip Louise the owner was very helpful as was Jane her help when we arrived at the apartment. The apartment is in a good location with 2 beaches within 100m walk, a really nice communal pool 50m away which was quiet when we were there. The port is an easy 10min stroll and its all flat. The apartment was modern, very clean, spacious for 2 of us and had all the things we required for a relaxing self catering holiday. We would certainly stay here again. Only slight negatives (Im being picky) were the lack of sun loungers by the pool (but with the beach so close youre as well just soaking up the sun there, lack of any TV stations (maybe this is a good thing as we certainly didnt miss it but I mention it in case somebody expects to be able to watch TV), there was a communal rubbish bin at the back of the apartments which should be emptied more often but this seems to be a failing in Spain in general so by no means specific to this area\apartment. To finish on a positive note...... thanks for a great holiday!
The apartment was exactly what I expected from visiting Mazzaron 14 years ago- not the same apartment. Walking around was not a problem from the main strip of restaurants 10 minute walk east of the apartment. Definitely call the booking agent when you land- she was very helpful. The pool access with the beach across the street was very nice. Parking was not a problem since we went the from September 10th-16th and its considered off season. Would go back again for sure.
Great location, out of the apartment across the road and onto the beach. The apartment had everything we required and was in a good area. Good local restaurants which offer well priced food and wine. We will definately go again
I stayed at the apartment the 2nd week of sept with my children. its a really clean lovely spacious apartment and everything you could want is there for you, even to the little things like straighteners, hair dryer, sun umbrella, bucket and spades, few cds and dvds. We had a great holiday there, theres a little sandy bay just opposite the apartment and the centre of the marina is just a 5 min walk away
we found the property clean and tidy and adequate for us could be slightly better equipite ie utnesils in the kitchen. very good comunication from the owner and found the agent very helpful and friendly would recommend this property to friends had a very enjoyable stay.

John and Lisa stayed in July 2012 with their children aged 15 an 17. The apartment is spacious and well positioned. John and I enjoyed great walks and good meals, while the children sunbathed and went to local bars and clubs ant night. All in all a great family holiday and good value for money. The new port is very cosmopolitan and is lovely to walk around in the evening.
Jan and her husband stayed in April 2012 We had a lovely holiday . The apartment is in a good location. There is miles of sandy beaches to walk along and some good mountain walks nearby. The area is still predominantly Spanish which helps to keep the cost of eating and drinking down, there are some local bars offering good deals on freshly cooked and caught food. The roof terrace offers great views out over the sea and mountains. The balcony is great for watching the world go by with a good book and a glass of wine with a sea view.
May 2012 Tracy and her family stayed for 2 weeks. The weather was great. Apartment is ideal for a family as it has 2 bathrooms with toilets, and is large enough for everyone to have their privacy. It is close to all amenities. Although there are no sunbeds around the pool Louise has provided chairs and a parasol in the apartment which can be taken to the beach or pool. This saves alot of money as you need not pay rent on the beach and you can sit exactly where you want! We hired a car and visited nearby villages of LAzoihia and Bolonuevo both of which were very charming and quiet. We liked the wide variety of things to do in Puerto Mazarron and had a great family holiday.
Jean And Chas visited the apartment in September 2011 We were very impressed with the service received from louise regarding the apartment. Her representative Jane picked us up from the airport and was very good value for 60 euros each way. The apartment is very clean and spacious with great views. The beach is so close and the area very upmarket. This is the 4th time we have used the apartment and there has been alot of improvement to the area in the years we have visiting. We look forward to going back next year.
Lynne and Steve stayed in the apartment with 2 boys aged 10 and 11 August 2011 The apartment is well equipped and ideal location for a family holiday. the beaches are safe with lots of activities and safe swimming for the children. there are plenty of bars and restuarants to choose from in the evening. We bought locally grown produce from the indoor market a 10 minute walk from the apartment and sat on the balcocony a few evenings. We would definately visit again.
Apartment is very comfortable and good value agent very helpfull. Area is good for families and couples there is a good range of bars and restaurants suitable for all tastes. Enjoyed our holiday very much. Beaches and pool very clean. Will definately go back. Angi and Mike
