Overview

A spacious 2 bedroom 2nd floor holiday apartment in a gated complex with pool, lift access & phone entry system.

Our apartment sleeps 5 and has plenty of space and no bed settees - simply a good standard of furnishings and equipment for a comfortable family holiday.

Our apartment has sun loungers for relaxing on it's south west-facing balcony or by the 25 metre swimming pool.

The lounge and twin bedroom both have sliding glass doors leading onto the south west facing balcony, so you can dine in the sun from lunchtime until sunset or relax on our new sun loungers.

New for 2014:
DVD player with DVDs and CDs.
Flat screen 32 inch television.
The apartment receives UK freeview tv channels via satellite but, as with every property in southern Spain, the satellite coverage for UK tv could be terminated at any time.


The kitchen has a ceramic hob, extractor, granite worktops, full size oven, large fridge freezer, washing machine, toaster and a microwave.

The bedrooms and lounge have electric fans and fixed wall heaters. The triple bedroom has one double and one single bed. The twin bedroom has two single beds.

The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower.

The apartment faces south west and has side sea and inland mountain views.

Because our apartment is on a corner, the bedrooms, lounge and kitchen all face out from the building. This makes our apartment one of the superior few at Las Brisas that don't suffer from having rooms with windows facing a dark and dingy central well.

We have a selection of books, so you can leave your finished books and take one of ours home.

There is on street parking by the apartment or we can reserve you a space in the underground car park.

We provide you with towels for use in the apartment and a couple of older towels which you can use by the pool or take to the beach.

A holiday in Puerto de Mazarron ....

... suits couples and families looking for a traditional Spanish seaside holiday with a choice of busy beaches or deserted coves, away from package holiday crowds and with plenty to do both day and night.

The Costa Calida is one of Spain´s best places to holiday, having a gentle warm winter and long hot summer days.

Puerto has great diving, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing and fishing. The beaches and small bays slope gently into crystal clear waters. Beach-side villages and miles of countryside surround the 32 km bay of Mazarron.

The coastal areas of Mazarron and Puerto de Mazarron boast some of the finest beaches in Spain and the untouched nature of the coastline and countryside appeals to those who seek a tranquil environment for their holidays.

Puerto de Mazarron is a popular resort for Spanish families and in the peak season (July and August) the population swells to capacity. At other times of the year it can be very quiet which makes Puerto ideal for that quiet "get away from it all" style holiday.

The area is ideal for walking holidays, with a variety of marked walks to suit all abilities.

Puerto has an attractive new marina, a variety of restaurants, tapas bars, evening entertainment bars, cultural activities including an open air summer cinema, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including ten pin bowling, sports hall, kart track, an uncovered Roman salt factory museum and a Phonecian boat information centre.

Puerto is one of the most important tourist centres for marine and sub-aquatic activities in Spain. The frequency of prevailing winds throughout the year in the Bay of Mazarron means sailing instruction and practice can be undertaken at any time of the year. The clear waters and rich flora and fauna offer the enthusiast some highly interesting dives.

The council regularly provides free beach concerts and has theme beaches with facilities for different ages with a variety of free sports and relaxation facilities - even designated nudist beaches.

In summer, Puerto de Mazarron has a couple of night clubs and two open-air out of town summer clubs which start very late and continue until sunrise.

Places to go ....

Camposol golf course is about 10 minutes by car, with La Manga only 40 minutes away.

Cartagena, a historic city with beautiful architecture, a pedestrianised upmarket shopping area, a variety of museums, newly opened (unearthed) Roman ampitheatre and a large port with a seafront paseo, is 30 minutes away by car.

The ancient city of Murcia is the capital of the region. It is easy to get to by train or road and has a historical centre with a cathedral, casino, churches and lots of interesting architecture, cafes, taps bars and some quality restaurants.

Whilst in the area, a visit to the beautiful Sierra Espuna National Park, to the north of Mazarron, through Totana or Alhama is a must. The drive and views are spectacular. On the journey and in the park there are local Spanish bars and restaurants serving good quality, reasonably priced food, or you can take your own food to cook on the outdoor barbecues in the designated picnic areas. The park has a visitor centre and signposted walks with amazing views.

Did not live up to expectations. no dvd only 4 hand towels left. double bed was broken in middle so we rolled to centre. knives and forks were poor quality and was made to count and sign for them. no toaster but owner did bring an old one next day.the only positive was the apartment was very clean although sheets and pillowcases were old and worn.

Taking the points one by one:When this guest reserved my apartment, I neither advertised nor supplied a DVD. This is something I have since added but had not started this service when the guest was in my apartment.It was my error leaving 4 hand towels instead of the hand and bath towels that were listed on the entry inventory. Unfortunately, neither I nor the guest noticed this when we checked the inventory together. It was at this point, when I and this guest were going through the inventory and, that we found the toaster was missing. I returned before 10 am the next morning to supply a toaster, along with 2 beach towels.I always supply a short inventory, which both I and my guests sign. It ensures that nothing our guest need is missing, safeguards both parties, records that the guest has been shown how everything works, i.e. TV and washing machine and includes lots of useful and necessary information. It may seem petty to count forks, but it ensures a guests always have enough of them !There is a written request on the inventory, asking guests to contact me by phone, should they have any problem or request. A day later the guest phoned me to say that they had unset the television so they could no longer get the UK channels. I advised them to unplug it, then plug it in again and it would work fine. As they assured me they had tried this, I returned to the apartment unplugged the TV, plugged it back in and it worked fine ! I am sad that, although I returned twice to the apartment, they never mentioned the towels or a broken bed.I have checked the bed and it isn’t broken, though it will be replaced this winter as a part of my ongoing maintenance.All our knives and forks are from Ikea and are of good quality. We use this supplier so we can always replace lost or missing cutlery with the same style.The sheets weren’t brand new, but I cannot agree with the suggestion that they are old and worn.

Je suis désolé de vous écrire en Français mais je ne maîtrise pas votre langue. Un appartement trés propre bien entretenu et dapparence neuf. Laccueil à été sympathique mais difficile a cause des barrières du language,mais avec de la bonne volonté de part et dautre les frontières seffacent. Jai enfin quelques remarques à faire concernant principalement le matériel mis à la disposition des locataires. il manque un peu dustensiles de cuisine comme par exemple : une cafetière,une essoreuse a salade,une râpe a fromage et dans les sanitaires une brosse afin de nettoyer les toilettes. tout ceci nétant que des mises au point nous sommes satisfait de notre séjour et nous ferons une bonne publicité a votre agence. dans lattente du retour de caution je vous présente mes salutations A. We were very impressed by the owners extreme helpfulness. They phoned us the night before we left home, were there waiting for us to arrive, gave us a town map and lots of info on what to do and where to go, showed us how things work and then drove us down into town and dropped us off at a lovely restaurant for dinner. The apartment was well equipped and very clean, the position was excellent with wonderful views and enjoying lots of lovey sunshine. Definitely a relaxing place to stay.

Great apartment with friendly helpful owners who visited just after we arrived and again during our break to check that we were ok. Well presented, luxurious clean and tidy. better than any package hol apartment we have ever used. Home from home with wall to wall sunshine. Good views and fabulous sunny terrace with sea views. Recommended anytime for a fantastic holiday.

This is excellent for a holiday: clean, spacious and well presented. We booked the apartment for our visiting family as we live nearby but were inland and dont have a pool or spare rooms. The owners were very helpful and friendly, letting us go in the night before to put in food drink and holiday gifts. My family have been here twice now, so I fully recommend it.

This is the best apartment Jan and I have ever rented. The views of both the sea and the mountains were stunning during the day and unforgettable at dusk. We came to Mazarron, not knowing quite what to expect but having asked VillaCare for details decided we would give it a try. We were not disapointed and if anything, VillaCare could have praised the town even more. Restaurants were in abundance, as were bars, shops and places to go. We lost count of how many blue flag beaches the area has but are sure it is well into double figures. Next year we will be back, bringing two of our special friends with us, can´t wait.

I found the apartment was brilliant. I had initial difficulty with the triple locking keys! but they were for added security. The furniture was good quality and a really nice touch to include DVD classics and CD. The reality exceeded the description. There were only two things I missed during my stay which I wanted to prolong, they were a frying pan and terraced steps down to Mercadona or past the hotel to the porto mazarron.!!! We so enjoyed our delightful Las Brisas apartment. The accommodation was so tastefull and clean. The pool is fantastic and the balcony was so enjoyable with plenty of space to be a place for breakfast, to watch the sparkling sea and to say goodbye to the sun at night times.

Good, well presented apartment in a smart new complex with fantastic pool and great views. I would not recommend visiting without a car as the apartment is maybe a kiliometer from the beach which makes for a hot walk in summer. it is also uphill from the supermarket and shopping centre. That said, being down by the seafront in the height of summer would probably be too noisy at night and the traffic in the port gets busy.
