Villa overview - owner's description
Pollensa, however, rested Winston Churchill, was inspired Agatha Christie and Peter Ustinov died among other artists. The town of Pollensa offers everyone who wants to bring the possibility of enjoying a landscape of sea and mountain or a wide range of cultural and service.
The harbour of Pollensa retains its own personality of a privileged place, with its long promenade and its beaches.
Pollensa is a dynamic place where social life revolves around the main square. Under the shade of huge silver trees the comings and goings of life can be enjoyed from the terraces of the squares varied and numerous bars are restaurants. "Can Moixet" (Bar Español) is the emblematic place to visit. If you have a sweet tooth try head for the kiosk in the square and choose one of the artisan ice-creams from "Can Buxaca"(Helados Valls)
Stroll through the village to the twin arched Roman Bridge, en route you will come across the parish church which by built by Templar Knights and the cloisters of Santo Domingo where the internationally prestigious Festival of Pollensa has been celebrated for over 50 years.
Wander around and find Calle Jesus; where the first of 365 steps takes you up to a retreat chapel surrounded by the stations of the cross representing Jesus and Calvary. From this advantage point you have a panoramic view over the whole area.
Another must is a visit to the Puig de Maria from where the Formentor peninsula, the Cala San Vicente valley, the bay of Pollensa and the bay of Alcudia are clearly visible.
Pollensa has enjoyed a lengthy tradition with hand crafts of all types. With several work shops continuing to produce hand made furniture, one of the very few textile producers remaining on the island continues to use traditional looms, numerous art galleries, internal design shops, hand crafted gifts and artisan gastro shops all thrive here.
The Sunday morning markets in Pollensa and on Wednesdays in Puerto de Pollensa should not be missed.

Pollensa, however, rested Winston Churchill, was inspired Agatha Christie and Peter Ustinov died among other artists. Pollensa, Puerto de Pollensa and the bay of San Vicente, like, as already mentioned, Alcudia (the ancient Roman Pollentia), constitute the most beautiful areas of the north and undoubtedly an attractive place visit. The town of Pollensa offers everyone who wants to bring the possibility of enjoying a landscape of sea and mountain or a wide range of cultural and service. The harbour of Pollensa retains its own personality of a privileged place, with its long promenade and its beaches. Cala San Vicente hosts a series of coves with crystal clear waters located at the foot of Cavall Bernat and the set of prehistoric caves de lAlzineret. Scenery, history, culture, art, cuisine, traditions, duties and services ... here next door in Pollensa.
