The full floor to ceiling picture windows in lounge & bedroom afford fantastic panoramic sea views and the patio style door opens on to the large balcony, great for eating al fresco, drinks, or sunbathing. Everything provided for comfort
We have just installed a brand new state of the art kitchen, with electric oven and hob, refridgerator, freezer. dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. Crockery, cutlery and glassware, pans and cookware, cafetiere, toaster, everything down to the necessary corkscrew. Incidentally an iron and small ironing board are also provided.
There is a DVD player with a built in digi-box which provides English speaking programmes as well as German, Spanish and Italian channels as well as an excellent selection of English DVD films and music CDs, together with a fine selection of holiday reading paperbacks (English only).
The brand newly installed bathroom has walk-in rain & power shower, toilet, fitted washbasin and marble vanity unit and hairdryer.
The bedroom has full size sliding door wardrobe with built in shelves and a king size double bed. The balcony can be accessed through patio style sliding doors. All bed linen and personal towels are provided, but we ask that you bring (or purchase) beach towels for the pool or beach.
The balcony is the full width of the apartment offering plenty of space with table, chairs, sun loungers and a clothes-airer, yet still leaving sufficient room for sunbathing on the loungers provided
Quiet, tranquil yet not far from lively bars and restaurants
The apartment is on the four floor affording splendid views of the sea, but as there is no lift perhaps it is not suitable for wheelchair users or those who find it difficult to climb stairs.
The exclusive apartment complex is surrounded by mature well-tended gardens with solar powered heated swimming pool. The gardens have plenty of loungers and sunshades needed for complete relaxation. Most of the apartments in this small select development are privately owned and the ambiance is one of tranquillity, in the company of mature couples. Entry to the garden and the apartments is through a secure permanently locked gate for which you will have a key. The apartments and gardens are ideal for a those wanting peace and quiet and relaxation, yet just a few minutes away one can enjoy a variety of pleasant restaurants overlooking the sea with an exciting nightlife of bars and restaurants of the centre of Playa del Inglés just a short walk away. Within a few minutes you will find a selection of super restaurants with tables overlooking the bay, serving local and international dishes, as well as friendly bars some with entertainment. So whether your preference is a thick juicy steak cooked over wood, local freshly caught fish, Canarian specialities or just a pizza with a beer you’ll find it all close by.
This small exclusive privately owned complex is approximately 35 minutes from the airport, with a taxi costing about 35euros.
A car is not essential as taxis are plentiful and cheap, and a bus terminus is just 200 yards away, however should you wish to explore at your own pace a car can be hired by the day or more from three possible car hire companies approximately two minutes walk from apartment.
Personal towels are changed midway through each week and bed linen changed at the end of each week, full general cleaning is not carried out between arrival and departure as we feel guests prefer privacy. Cleaning mop, brushes, even a small vacuum cleaner is provided, and guests are expected to leave the apartment on departure clean and tidy. If you do require general cleaning to be carried out over and above this standard, please ask our local representatives who will arrange this at a cost of €30 for each clean, paid directly to them. We will try to accommodate arrival and leaving time to suit flight arrival and departure where possible but this might not always be the case as it dependent on the arrival time of the next guests arrival.
Lovely property in ideal location for beach ,shops and restaurants. Neighbours , Paul and Kai were particularly helpful giving a warm welcome and great recommendations on where to visit and where to eat

April 2015 - A well-located apartment one row back from the front-line promenade. Access to the beach is as easy as walking across the road and cutting through to the promenade. If you have a hire car, there is swift and direct access to the main road arteries via the Avenida D'Italia, round the corner. It is good value compared to another place I stayed, 2 years ago, in a similar position.
The apartment itself is a top floor apartment with a nice balcony. Very clean and the bed is comfortable.
The only demerits were the usual sticky front door lock (they do all seem to do it). a failure of the internet Wi-Fi connection (eventually fixed) and the parking.
The parking outside is the usual blue boxes. It costs E2:40 for 4 hours. If you overstay or don't pay, the local fines appear to be revocable at the machines for E1:80 but I'm not sure how successful that is and didn't try it. I parked in Calle El Pez, which is just round the corner, via the promenade, where free spaces are usually available from about 17:30 onwards, as the beachgoers leave. So if you're going out, make it for the day and the parking should sort itself. The island is very scenic and well worth a drive round.
Back to the apartment, it is well-located near the Tropical Shopping Centre which has a number of restaurants and in the evening, a 5 minute walk from the Kasbah Centre or a 20 minute walk from Yumbo Centre. However, in terms of entertainment, April offers very little bar what appears to be a greater number of people trying to get you into restaurants etc than there are tourists.
I can't comment on the pool etc as I never used them.
We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and thank you for the comprehensive review. We weren't aware the front door lock was tricky, but will have it checked. As for the Wifi we called the engineers as soon as you reported it, but we all know what BT engineers are like in terms of urgency. It was a problem with the router which was fixed by the apartment manager with telephone assistance from BT. We are sorry you were inconvenience, but in a the eighteen months we have had broadband, it is the first problem we've had. Most people comment on how refreshing it is to have free wifi when most hotels seem to charge about €15 per day! We look forward to welcoming you as a guest again soon.

Excellent base for a fantastic holiday. Was there for a month and the best compliment would be to describe the apartment as being able to "live in" rather than just a holiday base - it`s got everything and more besides.
My particular favourite bits were the brill double length terrace and watching the sun come up from the comfiest bed ever around 8am.
Lovely views from balcony. Nice garden, pool.
Impressed with PDL and all Gran Canaria has to offer.
Couple of moans would be a few windy days but that can`t be helped. (No rain all feb)
Also the apartments seem to be mainly residential, elderly people, German, Spanish. Very quiet, not a bad thing??

We had a brilliant week and would recommend this apartment with no hesitation. The restaurants close by are good and you can venture a little further and find other places to eat as well. The beach is huge and great for a long walk to keep you fit and walk off the excesses!
Paul and Kai look after the apartment for the owners and do a fab job. It is comforting to know they are on hand.

Beautiful apartment spotlessly clean and very comfortable in a nice peaceful area yet close to shopping centre, restaurants and taxi rank. 5 mins walk down steps to lovely quiet beach. Communication was first class and were made to feel welcome on arrival. The apartment has everything you need - including a beautiful new fully equipped kitchen and new bathroom with rain shower. It felt very light and airy and the towels and bedlinen for the king size bed were of good quality. Wifi connected straight away . Would thoroughly recommend this apartment and hope to return very soon. The gardens and pool were well looked after and the whole area was so nice - this was our first time here but will definitely return, hopefully to this particular property!

We spent a very enjoyable two weeks in this lovely apartment and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The newly installed kitchen has everything you need for cooking in and we enjoyed using the super cooker. There is a very good shower in the bathroom and we were provided with lots of nice new fluffy towels. Everywhere is extremely clean and it is a real ‘home from home’. The sliding patio doors in the lounge and bedroom make for a very bright space. We enjoyed spending time on the large terrace. We were hoping the pool might be warmer but enjoyed sunbathing in the garden on the comfortable sunbeds. The apartment is just a few minutes walk from the beach and promenade and a good selec tion of restaurants. It was also handy being close to the bus station for exploring further afield. Thank you for a wonderful holiday in your little apartment. The location was perfect and the view of the sea as we sat out on the balcony having our breakfast each morning was an added bonus. We loved the apartments quirky style and the extremely comfortable bed (more comfortable than our own!). The apartment had everything we needed and it was great that we had access to a pool as well as the beach being across the street!
Thank you so much for your restaurant recommendations and advice on places to go. We particularly liked El Gaucho and really enjoyed our trip to Puerto de Mogan for the market on Friday. We met Jess and Karen at Bambinos and true to your word we enjoyed two delicious breakfasts during our stay. We mentioned to them that you had recommended their restaurant and they were very pleased and pass on their thanks and best wishes.

Stayed yet again at the Don Quiote probably for the fifth time. Great location second line for the walk along the sea wall which is just across the road. Very convenient for shops and restaurants and bars. We always get a taxi from the airport (35 euros) but the bus back to the airport (6.70 euros for two). Cannot fault our apartment
We have until very recently only allowed family members and friends to use the apartment so we have no written reviews available, however the apartment was purchased as our holiday home and is equipped and furnished accordingly for our own comfort.
As you can see, we now have reviews for which we are very grateful. We cannot remove the message we placed above as owners of the apartment, but thought we needed to amend it as it now makes no sense.
