Three bedroom villa with terraced garden and own pool. Two minute walk from stunning lake with mountain backdrop set amongst pines and olive groves.
Relaxing three-bedroomed villa with private pool. Please note the pool does not have a shallow end and is approximately 5 foot in depth. A secluded walled garden offers two large terraces with shaded outdoor dining. A brick built bar b q with built in worktops and sink. The large top terrace is great for sunbathing. The villa comfortably sleeps five people, however there is a Z-Bed suitable for a small child. There is also a travel cot.
Los Bermejales and its lake
The villa is situated within the small hamlet of Los Bermejales within walking distance of a stunning lake. The lake provides swimming and fishing. There is a small shop within the campsite a ten minute walk away. Two Bakers vans deliver fresh bread daily. Other vans deliver a variety of fresh and frozen goods.
The surrounding area
The surrounding area boasts fantastic scenery. Nearby mountains provide a backdrop to undulating hills and olive groves. Less than fifteen minutes drive is the town of Alhama De Granada with its historical church and surrounding gorge. Alhama also provides an excellent variety of bars, restaurants and shops. An outdoor market takes place every Friday selling local fruit, vegetables and a variety of clothes, shoes etc. The city of Granada offers the visitor the chance of experiencing a vivid, modern cosmopolitan city culture. Overlooking the city is the Moorish Alhambra Palace with its stunning gardens. The old part of the city with its narrow streets and large open plazas with numerous cafes also offer a chance to experience the Spanish culture of outdoor living. Rising above the city of Granada is the Sierra Nevada mountain range and Parque Natural offering winter ski-ing and beautiful flora and fauna. The beautiful Alpujarras (made famous by the book "Driving over lemons" by Chris Stewart), with its white mountain villages is only one hour and ten minutes drive from the house. Ninety minutes drive from the house takes you to the Costa Tropical and the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean.
A welcome pack containing local produce is included in the rental price.
There are towels and bedding in the villa, also use of a washing machine. Cleaning, if required can be arranged at an additional cost.
Arrived and no sheets on beds, we stayed 14 days, not once did anyone come to clean, change towels or bed linen. After the first night of staying I was bitten by what I thought was bed bugs, asked for the mattress in our room to be changed, it was but within 24 hrs ended up in 24hr emergency with so many bites, ended up being fleas, I contacted the owner and she was very dismissive of anything I said and kept telling me they must have been Mosquitos , we had just moved from Australia after living there for 24 years, we know what mozzie bites are like. The area is small with only one cafe and seems at first glance to be peaceful and scenic, unfortunately in the next street to the house is a scout camp with new scouts arriving every 4 days, up at 7am blowing whistles and up till 4am singing loud karaoke , so anything but quiet and peaceful . I would strongly recommend NOT staying here, the bites and risk of more put a dampener on the whole holiday. I would strongly recommend however the area of Alhama de Granada and Granada itself
The house is always prepared before quests arrive, with extra bed linen and towels provided.
It was Raul and his wife who suggested that Mrs Carr went to the nearby health centre in Arenas Del Rey. He also accompanied
them and spoke to the medic who said Mrs Carr was bitten by mosquitos or other biting insects that are prevalent during the hot
weather. I sympathized with Mrs Carr and she advised me that no other member of her family had been bitten. This happened at the
beginning of their two week stay and although she would have been in constant contact with Raul and his wife she didn't express
any concerns that she may have had to them. The young scouts have used the area for many years and are extremely well supervised. I have been there in July and August and you can hear the children singing on occasion but I cannot remember them being
up until 4 a.m. I am also a little surprised that Mrs Carr took a month after returning from Spain to submit such a poor review.

We were looking for simple, modest accommodation to enjoy an authentic Andalusian experience away from the tourist areas. The villa and its surroundings fulfilled the requirements admirably.
The house is charming with a lovely patio / barbecue area and decent sized pool. The village is small with very friendly residents.
Alhama de Granada, the nearest town, is a hidden gem. There is a nearby reservoir of a stunning blue with areas for swimming and walking.
A car is essential but Granada and the coast are within comfortable driving distance with often curvy roads and stunning views.
This accommodation is ideal for those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle usually associated with the more popular Spanish resorts.

We had a wonderful family holiday in Villa Los Tejaillos, it provided the perfect base to explore the area and was a comfortable home for the week. We loved the pool and the beautiful garden, with various shady spots to sit and enjoy a meal at all times of day. The scenery was spectacular and there were plenty of places to visit within an hours drive, from huge gorges, to the city of Granada and the Friday market at Alhama de Granada. The village itself was very small and friendly with a couple of cafe bars, and a well stocked supermarket 15 mins drive away and we loved buying delicious bread, fruit and veg from the local delivery vans that called by each day. The lake was wonderful, the most glorious blue-green water with great shoals of fish. We all agreed this was definitely one of the most relaxing family holidays weve had.

Weve just come back from a fortnight at Villa Los Tejaillos and we really didnt want to come home! The villa is lovely and cosy with everything you could possibly need, and more. The pictures dont really do it justice, the bedrooms are very pretty and spacious with plenty of storage, and the living/dining room is nice and roomy too. The pool and garden are lovely for lazing around, and very private. Its hard to drag yourself away. If you do, there is loads to do within about an hours drive, we had trips to Granada, the Costa Tropical, the Alpujarras and the Sierra Nevada. There are some lovely walks locally too if you fancy a rest from driving. The village itself is very peaceful with a couple of bars and a small shop. It was the perfect holiday for us and we will definetely be back. Thanks!

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying in Villa Los Tajaillos and now cant wait to return! The villa was great - really homely and very well equipped - the garden was beautiful with views of the hills in the distance and a lovely swimming pool which was very much needed in the 37 degree heat! The lake was stunning and we enjoyed walks in the local area and around the village. We can thoroughly recommend this villa to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of Spain.

It, was truely unspoilt spain, such a beautiful area.every thing to hand, ahome from home, well equipped villa,in a pretty secluded garden,(the pool was very welcome). At the end of the road was a large lake, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. We went on so many lovely walks. We did the lot, explored, swum, relaxed, eat good local food, visited historic sites, typical villages. We needed more time to see it all, a good excuse to go back again.
The Bedfords had a fantstic holiday. Our 6 year old started each day with the words "another perfect day in paradise!!" The villa was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We all loved the swimming pool and would spend our days in the secluded garden, which is well tended and attractive. The surrounding landscape is stunning with a beautiful lake at the bottom of the road. The water is the most amazing colour and inspired me to go down to the beach with my watercolurs and paint the view. We particularly enjoyed exploring the town of Alhama de Granada with its historical background. The market on a Friday was a big hit with our teenage daughter. The gardens at the Alhambra in nearby Granada were so tranquil even at the hight of the summer. We all agree that we would like to go back again.
Perfect for our two young children. A well equipped kitchen and big family room. We all loved the pool and beautiful garden and terraces. We enjoyed lots of picnics around the lake in the shade of the pine trees, and evening drinks in the local friendly bar which we combined with our evening walks around the village and over the dam. Amazing views and scenery, like no other we have seen in Spain. We loved going to the nearest historical town of Alhama de Granada for the relaxing cafes and shopping. Not far from Granada where we spent a lovely day around the Alhambra and then walked down to the square for lunch and a look around the local ceramic shops. A lovely, relaxing holiday for all of us.
Delightful villa, quaint and homely with everything you could possibly need. Peaceful well maintained garden and pool. Enjoyed walking to the lake (handy shop there) and to the gorge. Convenient for visiting the famous Al hambra Palace.
