The location is so convenient right on the waters edge with so many shops and services right beside it. It is quiet and suitable for holidaying yet central Palma is so close and easy to reach even without a car as I don't drive in Mallorca. The views from the enormous balcony are truly stunning - panoramic with views to the east giving glimpses of the Kings summer palace, straight ahead shows open sea while to the west a little you can see Illetas and nearby more to the west is the sailing marina Porto Calanova.
All the rooms in the apartment are very spacious and simply furnished with modern furniture and furnishings. Very comfortable beds in the three bedroom all of which have sea and harbour views especially the main bedroom which has one wall all of glass with patio doors to the really large balcony. We have recently been able to add UK satellite TV and very high speed WiFi internet services in the apartment.
While staying here you can sunbath on our great balcony or the private sun-terraces below belonging to our building. Linked to the sun terraces is a small private island which not only gives more space for sun loungers but also provides easy ways to enter the sea for swimming. There is a good sized well maintained swimming pool on the sun-terraces so you have the choice of sea or pool swimming. Also on the sun terraces a local restaurateur operates a private cafe/restaurant for the residents during the summer months which is very convenient for a drink or a meal!
If you want to go out and explore Majorca many exciting facilities are close by including the lovely sandy beach at Cala Mayor 1/2 kilometer and at Illetas 2.5 kilometers. Central Palma is about 7 kilometers 15 minutes away by car or 25 minutes on the good bus service that stops at the end of our road. In Palma there are many buildings of historic and architectural interest including the superb Cathedral and traditional Theatre, the old court and city hall as well as the stunning modern Opera house which provide a good season of operatic productions each year.
In our local center there are many restaurants less than 3 minutes walk from the apartment offering Italian, Scandinavian, Pizzeria, Indian, Japanese, Chinese and of course several Spanish & Mallorcian specialties. There are also a good numbr of local bars each with their own personality. Within half an hour by car there are a good number of Snorkel and Dive centers, Water parks and Theme parks,Tennis and Golf facilities - of which the nearest is only about a 10 minute walk. The open countryside and beautiful flora and forna of the exciting island of Mallorca is just a few minutes away along the coast or inland. The whole island offers tremendous variety within a very small number of miles, mountains forests village and beaches all most welcoming to the visitors from all over the world.
The amazing thing is that with all these attractions and amenities so convenient to this area it still retains its quiet residential ambiance and is not a frenetic holiday resort. You really get the best of both worlds!
