Excellent week at the apartment. Appreciated the fact that we could arrive earlier than the standard arrival time. The apartment is as per the description / photographs and was spotlessly clean.
Once you understand the access /exit points onto the coast road, travel is easy. Very good selec tion of shops / restaurants across the foot bridge. Enjoyed visiting Gibralter / Ronda and Puerto Banus and the waterpark at Mijas. Weather was very hot which meant that the communal pool was utilised a lot and enjoyed sitting on the balcony relaxing and playing cards with the children.
If you get bored or the weather is not great, just bring your Sky Card to utilise the excellent flat screen TV and comfy sofa (good way to keep the children occupied if needed).
Overall a great week and I am already being pestered to book again for next year.

Me and 4 friends (all female aged 21) Stayed at Albert and Ayeshas place in the sun for a week at the end of June 2011. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous especially the pool and grounds which is very quiet we were the only people there most days. You can get the bus right out the front of the gates that goes along the coast to Puerto Banus and Marbella and it runs until gone 10pm and only costs 2 euros! However if you dont want to go to far there are plenty of restaurantes and bars just accross the bridge (3 min walk!!) as nwell as the supermarket! We would all definately reccommend the Italian restaurant called Da Marios (we went there 4 times!!!!) the food is amazing, very reasonable prices and you are treated likie royalty especially by Mario himself! As well as "Trickiy Rickys" for breakfast and lunch the people there are so nice! Albert and Ayesha have excellent staff who work for them in Marbella and they were there to help with anything. This is the perfect holiday if your looking to relax and chill but still have the option to go for a glamourous night out at the coast/port! Would very highly recommend. Thank you Albert and Ayesha you will definately hear from us 5 again :) X

we booked this holiday as we wanted a week away in the sun for my husbands 50th birthday, near enough to town centres if we needed anything, but also far enough away for us to just relax and do nothing.
we were greeted by gemma, who was extremeley helpful and gave us all of the local information that we needed, in regard to things like public transport frequency and her personal preference on some restaurantes.
albert and aleysha had left a bottle of wine in the apartment, but also sent a bottle of bubbly for daves birthday.
the apartment itself was luxurious, and very spacious, ... deffiantely a home from home.
the walk to san pedro was lovely, .... about 20 mins along the beach, where you then come to many beach front bars and tavernas.
both puerto banus and marbella were a 15 min bus ride away, and we used to get the bus into town and then get a taxi back, as it cost the same for 4 of us on the bus as it did in the taxi.
all in all a thoroughly fantastic holiday, so much so that my daughter is already rebooking for next year.
a huge thank you to both albert and aleysha, who have been brilliant from start to finish, and we really appreciate the phone calls that you have made since this booking was initially confirmed
Thank you for your review, your feedback lets us know that we are doing a good job - we try to make the whole journey from initial contact to well beyond your return go smoothly. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your time in our home. It sounds as if you had a great holiday and that Daves birthday was celebrated in style! We will pass on your comments to Gemma as she deserves all the praise she gets. It was great to hear from you on your return - your daughter will have a fabulous time when she comes i am sure! Please, please keep in touch! Albert and Ayesha

What a Holiday! First class apartment at an affordable rate.
We went to Puerto Banus for a stag do, and we all think it is the best holiday any of us have taken. Only complaint was that we had to come back.
The directions to the apartment are very accurate, and easy to understand. Even though we did not have Sat-Nav, we managed to find our way round very well.
Although we didnt go to the Guadalmina beach, we spent most of our time on Puerto Banus beach (excellent). The hot weather (always in its 30s) just added to this great holiday. The first morning we spent a few hours in the pool just playing water polo (a brilliant game) while a few of us were taking in the sun. We were the only ones in the pool area, and the neighbours we did see in the complex were always friendly.
The apartment was first class. It is exactly how it is described. The living room area is well catered for with Sky TV, while the balcony is fabulous just to chill out on. The whole complex is a very clean area and looks well maintained.
We arrived late on a thursday evening, and Gemma was very polite and kind in showing us to the apartment and being a wonderful host. She even checked on how we doing half way our trip and left some more clean towels, which were very nice of her. We even found some food and some drinks in the fridge which we used as snacks. The apartment has all the amenities and it is a home away from home.
The supermarket across the road (can reach by crossing over the bridge) is great, and has everything you could possibly need. Next to the supermarket are some shops and restaurants. The indian restaurant there is definately worth a visit as the food was enjoyed by the whole party.
We would all definately come here again, maybe even with families and all recommend it to anyone who just wants a quiet time to relax or to party up and live it large in Puerto Banus, then this is the perfect spot. Only 20mins drive from Puerto Banus marina, this really is the perfect holiday home. I definately will be back with my fionce, as she says I do not shut-up about the holiday and the home.
Oh and Albert and Ayesha are really great and polite, and very prompt with all communication. We all felt looked after and in my opinion I think this is what sold the apartment to me, as the hospitility just goes that extra mile. They know what they on about, so people listen to them when they say this is a fabulous place! You wont be dissapointed. Thanks for a great experience! One thing left now, just got to get married!
Congratulations on your up coming nuptuals!! Sun sea and sand - mix in a little sangria and it seems that you and your stags had a whale of a time! Its not unusual for our guests to have almost exclusive use of the pool and gardens and we are delighted you boys enjoyed it, but keep in mind, our place also make a perfect romantic getaway.....................so come back soon and bring you families and loved ones with you!Speak soon, Ayesha and Albert

Myself and a group of friends stayed at Albert and Ayeshas villa for 4 days for my hen weekend. It was absolutely lovely! Very modern, clean and had everything we needed.
The location is a short drive from Puerto Banus, around EUR10 in a cab and you will find many restaurants and bars here which really add to the break!
Albert & Ayesha were very helpful throughout the whole booking process.
The villa itself is spacious, peaceful and has a lovely large balcony outside the villa.
I would most definitely stay here again either with family, my fiancee or a group of friends.
Excellent weekend and lovely place to stay!
It was a real pleasure to have you and the Hens at ours. Previous parties have also been really pleased with our location. Banus is definately where its at for the nightlife but returning to our apartment in Guadalmina is BLISS.Hope to see you and the girls soon.Best wishesAlbert and Ayesha

I took a short break in Albert and Ayeshas apartment with my sister, daughter and grandaughter while the men were off doing "man stuff" involving motorbikes and beer. We took my 3 month old grandaughter abroad for the first time and found the apartment to be perfect for our needs as it was very spacious and well equiped and was a real home from home. The pool area was a little oasis as there was only us there for most of the time. We had a relaxing time with lots of lovely meals out.
Only a couple of negatives which Im sure can be easily remedied.
1. The directions to the apartment worked but could be reformatted into paragraphs with bullet points as the large block of text was difficult to follow.
2. On leaving the apartment we were advised to leave the keys in the apartment but when we got outside we had no means to open the gate to drive out and had to wait until someone else arrived to get out.
A word of warning to those visiting Puerto Banus. We parked in the underground car park one day and on returning to our car a well dressed, well spoken Englishman tried to scam us into giving him money on the pretence that his car had been compounded and he needed to get to Marbella quickly. he was very convincing but we didnt fall for it and strangely enough the same guy was still trying it on later the same day when we went back to the same car park!
Thank you Jeanie for your review, Albie and I are pleased that you felt comfortable and relaxed in our 'home away from home'. You are right about the pool being an oasis with the landscaped gardens -and it is not unusual that our guests have the pool to themselves! The directions you receive through the 'villarenters' web site are uploaded by us in paragraphs but seem to arrive to you without them...I will contact them and see if we can make this clearer as the last thing we want is to make our place difficult to find! We will also think of a solution to the gate fob issue.Puerto Banus is a fabulous place to visit where people watching is a sport in itself but as always when on holiday anywhere, you need to be on guard - well done on not being taken in the apparent scam as that would certainly have spoilt your holiday. Albie and I would love to have you back whenever you feel like having a bit of sunshine!

"Thank you for a wonderful holiday it was truly amazing, the apartment exceeded our expectations, standard of decor, layout, size location all fantastic the pictures on the website don't do it justice it was amazing!! We did have trouble finding the place however but true to his word Albert was like a knight in shining armour & talked us right up to the front door!! Would we book it again? without doubt it was one if not the best holiday we have ever had. San Pedro, Puerto Banus, Rhonda, Marbella all wonderful places to visit. One thing we did learn very quickly is there is a difference between Spanish time & English time which is quite entertaining!!! a 15 minute car journey can actually take anything up to an hour (or it does when my husband Garry drives in Spain!!). The pool was fantastic, we took our 7 year old daughter & she had an amazing time, San Pedro is a 10 minute drive away from the apartment, Rhonda is a must see as is Puerto Banus, you can spend hours there yacht & people watching & we did. Also for families there is a fantastic water park an hours drive away. Accross the road from the apartment are 2 fabulous restaurants one chinese & one Indian that serve fantastic food & very reasonably priced. There is also a great supermaket accross the road but at the moment you do need a car to get to it( there is a bridge being built) Flights via Easy Jet & car hire Europe Gold very easy to book & straightforward, certainly would do it again. Albert & Ayesha bend over backwards to make everything enjoyable & easy for you extremely helpful & very friendly, the complex was also very secure. The wine & water on the table when you arrive @ the apartment is a really nice touch ( one thing can it be white next time please Albert????) Everything was so perfect. Thankyou Albert & Ayesha for a truly amazing time Karen & Garry Morris
Thanks Guys. We are really pleased you had such a good time and were more than glad to help in anyway! The bridge is now open and makes it easy to get your croissants in the morning and wonder across to the restaurants without needing a car. Next time you visit we will personally get a bottle of White Wine out for you! See you then!Ayesha and Albert.

Last minute booking made to Albert's Place In The Sun and can thoroughlt recommend it to anyone as long as you have a car to get around to see the area. The aprtment was probably the best we have ever stayed in with a lovely pool where we only ever saw another six people at anytime. Be warned though don't sit around the pool whilst the lady gardener is cutting the grass we were covered in flies she must have distrubed them all because fine any other time. Visited Peurto Banus on 2 evening for meal were told to go to the Pizza/Pasta restarant whre you can que for 1hr very nice but for just 20 euros for 4 we had a far nices meal in the Italian right next door! Ben Havis a very worthwhile ride to the lovely Spanish Restrants of shops very popular with the Brits! The beach we found to be the nicest was near Sotogrande think it was called El Cabrero lovely sand shoreline sea a bit chilly, a small bar seerving food and very reasonable sunbeds to hire. You must go it was so peaceful. Everything went smoothly and my husband enjoyed the Redf Wine Albert (I am a White Lady). Both our children 19 and 16 enjoyed the area just wish we could have had longer to explore more. A credit to Albert and Ayisha.

Dear Albert and Ayesha.
Many apologies for the late submission of this review. Since we have been back things have been absolutely manic for us but we do want to put pen to paper to express our sincere thanks for the use of your apartment for our holidays.
Let me start by stating that we would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it to anybody although we don't want too many people interested as we will certainly return and don't want to find it all booked up!!!
We arrived late in the evening, in fact just before midnight local time. The car hire people you recommended were excellent and we picked up our car with no hitches at all. If we were to travel during a busy period we would certainly take your advice of one person going to organise the car whilst the other collected their baggage. For some reason the paperwork in collecting the car seemed to take quite a long time and if there were a lot of people in the queue this could be quite lengthy. You would certainly want to be at the front of the queue!
When we arrived at the apartment we just couldn't believe the size of it and the way it was decorated, the pictures on your website simply do not do it justice. The whole apartment was immaculately presented and absolutely spotless, I would also like to know where you bought the sofa as it was so comfortable that when ours finally reaches the end of its useful life I will be importing one !. It was also great to see a bottle of water in the fridge and a bottle of wine on the table on our arrival. Needless to say we enjoyed both!!. Although not a big fan of television it was good to have the Sky TV available to we could see how lousy the weather was in the UK! I know its sad but it is lovely to see when the weather at home is lashing down with flash floods and fog when we couldn't see a single cloud in the sky…. My phone bill home was massive but this was all down to the gloating I was doing and ringing everybody up to tell them about the apartment and weather!
Although we went 'off peak' the weather was fantastic and the other people within the apartments were all very friendly. We didn't actually see that many people but those that we did all knew you and were all very helpful.
We then spent a fabulous 10 days in the sunshine and used your apartment as a base to explore the south coast. The beach within walking distance that you had told us about was fantastic, I think we were lucky to see another 5 people on it which was brilliant! The kids loved it!
During the days we loved exploring the area and visited most of the local areas of interest including Puerto Banus, Estepona and Ronda. All of these were great days out especially Ronda which was beautiful and well worth the trip through the mountains. I could have spent hours at Puerto Banus and just need to find a rich older woman who will buy me a boat and an Aston Martin! (or even a rich younger woman but I guess these are more rare!)
In the evenings it was lovely to sit on the balcony with a bottle or two of wine and just chill.
Everything we needed was there although I personally was most impressed with the dishwasher, it was like home from home!
What more can I say. A fantastic apartment, fantastic location and fantastic holiday.
As you have probably gathered but now we would really like to recommend your apartment to anyone who is interested, so much so that if anybody would like to speak to us for a personal recommendation I enclose my phone number (07801 452743). Please feel free to pass this on to any potential guests and I will be happy to tell them all about it!
Please, please, please keep up all the good work and we'll be back in touch early next year to book up for next years instalment. I am working on the wife to see if I can go back on my own to sample the golf courses as they looked in beautiful condition….
Of course if you know any available, rich, young, beautiful women who just happen to teach or play golf then please feel free to call me first.....
Many thanks for everything.
Lee & Marcia.

Slightly further out than we thought-almost an hour walking!! However, anybody who rents a car will be in the centre of San Pedro in 2mins, and Peurto Banus in less than 5.
The owners were fantastic, confirming bookings by phone and email, the attention to detail was superb-even down to a bottle of wine waiting for us!
The apartment has everything you could possibly need to ensure a hassle-free holiday, the decor is modern and the apartment is spotless.

I took a short break with my sisters in March and we were all very pleased with the standard of the complex and with the information provided on the area. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, spacious and really does have everything you could need. The owners have attended to all the small details – there was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived and water in the fridge. We went early in March (with rain forecast) and yet the weather was hot and sunny. The beaches nearby are beautiful. We walked down through pretty Guadalmina to ‘Albert and Ayesha’s beach’ which was empty apart from the three of us. You can see the coast of Africa from there on a clear day. We had hired a car and found driving and navigating around the towns and cities with our maps and very basic Spanish surprisingly easy. The Picasso Museum in Malaga (Picasso’s place of birth) and the town of Ronda were definitely highlights for me and both can be accessed by bus. We ate out a few times and found Spanish food delicious. But the best thing was being able to come ‘home’, cook a meal and relax in absolute comfort after a long day out. I will certainly be recommending ‘Albert’s place in the sun’ to my friends and hope to visit again myself with longer to explore the region.

The apartment is just 'stunning'. The information we received from the owners was fair and accurate - it really did feel like a home from home. We spent ten days in late September to the beggining of October and we were in the pool and on the beach every day. The family visited Puerto Banus which was a bite pricey but still a 'must see'. The water park at Mijas was a hit with our teenagers as was Funny Beach, on the Marbella coast. The apartment is well laid out and caterd for all our needs and the bottle of wine was a welcome sight as was the cold water in the fridge. Many thanks to the owners and we will be coming again but next time without the kids!

We visited this property in September 2006 for a two week break. First impression was excellent and apart from a few problems with getting the television to work we were very comfortable and had everything we needed. We found a car essential, even to get to the shops across the road to fetcg the groceries. You cannot cross the road, it is dual carriageway and far too busy. You can walk round but this takes about 20 mins. For the majority of time we were the only two people around the pool and the grounds are well kept. The apartment was good value for the two of us, but there is plenty of room and would be even more value for money with another two people. A lot of effort has been made to give information and directions to local places of interest and amenities and the directions are very well set out. A trip to Rhonda up through the mountains was a real treat, although the tapas and omelette we ordered when we got there was expensive and quite dissappointing.
We found the restaurant near the golf course by the complex very good value for money with delicious food and a nice selection of wine.

After a 3 hour delay from gatwick it was a pleasure to get to the apartment (wow what an apartment). Its even better than the brochure. Nice touch with the wine but we would suggest a bottle of water as well. The complex was secure with a superb pool suitable for all. The only thing to raise is the proximity of the road nearby however this did not spoil our enjoyment of the apartment. The plus side for this is that it will give you easy access to where you are going. You defintley need a car as we experimented with the local taxis (quite an adventure). Local shops (who provide almost evething) are across the road but if you decide to walk it will take half an hour. Great beaches nearby which gave my son hours of fun.

Now where do i begin! The apartment is just as it appears on the website although in the flesh it is absolutely amazing, everything you need is there including the all important bottle opener! The swimming pool was lovely and refreshing and over our week at the apartment we probably saw no more than 2 other families by it! So if you are looking for a holiday to relax and get away from it all this is the place, on the other hand if you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a party night then Puerto Banus is only a 9 Euro taxi fare away and it is as glitzy as it comes from Aston Martin's to Million dollar yachts it has it all! A hire car is a must to get out and about and get the all important beer and wine stocked in the fridge, but San Pedro is a gentle 10 minute walk from the apartment where you will find a number of delicious restaurants by the sea front. The apartment was fantastic and the location wonderful my only regret is that I was there for one week and not two!!!!

The main bedroom with en-suite is very spacious, lots of storage/wardrobes with patio doors to the balcony which was lovely. The second bedroom had ample space again. The sofa in the living room/dining room is 'to die for' - just lovely to cuddle up on an evening. Everything you need is in the kitchen - dishwasher, washing machine, utensils and it is just perfect to dine out on the balcony. The apartment is air conditioned.
With all local amenities a few minutes away (supermarket, bank restaurants, chemists) you couldn't want for much more.
The pool is large and very easily accessed. We had a wondeful time and would be happ y to recommend staying there to any of our friends.

The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and well furnished. The welcome bottle of wine was very much appreciated and we were looked after well by the owners rep.
There was sufficient equipment for our family of four but a bit of extra crockery and cutlery may cut down on the use of the dishwasher.
It is close to a main road but this was not a problem for us and did mean we were closer to shops and restaurants. You do need a car though to get around or sufficient knowledge of the language to manage on the bus - a stop just outside the complex.
It is a brand new complex and there is still some developement around but again this was no problem for us and in fact provided us with some fun watching the workmen with their totally different outlook to health & safety.
We believe overall it is very good accomodation only missing out on excellent because of the immaturity of the site.

We had the privilege of being the first visitors to this apartment. It was also the first time we used an apartment instead of an Hotel, so we came to it with no preconceived ideas.
The arrangements for accessing the gated site worked well, with us being met on arrival and introduced to the apartment by the owner’s local representative, who was helpful throughout our stay.
We were impressed when we first entered. The marble floors, the quality of the furniture and the spaciousness surprised us. When settled in, we found the place easy to live in, comfortable, convenient and well appointed.
For a holiday in this area a car is virtually an essential. Then the site is in easy reach of a range of good beeches, golf courses are in walking distance and eateries are a few minutes away.
Finally, and this was very important to us, in spite of the automated booking system that has to be somewhat impersonal (we had no problems with it), we felt all the way through that the owners were directly concerned that our holiday was a total success. We don’t think they could have done more.

To far from shops bars rest etc, Not in a very nice area, nothing nice to look out to from terrace. Supermarket over busy road, Restaurants over busy road, all 5 had the same menu. Very good english cafe, Tricky Rickey, was exc value for money very good fry ups...U really need a car when staying in this apartment.. Guadalmino Beach, just awful!!! full of dogs poo and pebbles. Would not recommend and would not go back. The good thing was!! It was very hot..
We are sorry to hear that your experience in our apartment was not to your expectations, as can be seen from the other reviews on the page it has received very favorable feedback from all our other guests. We will certainly address the issue with the kettle and coat hangers at the nearest opportunity. We have Sky TV which enables the viewer to have access to a variety of English channels including BBC, and Channel 4 as well as some Music and Movie channels too. We always suggest our guests bring their own sky card with them if TV is important as this opens up even more channels. Albie and I have also left a selection of DVD's for our guests to view. The shops and restaurants are a 3 minute walk away - we have a popular Tapas bar which the locals all recommend and indeed travel to, as well as an Italian, a Chinese and an Indian restaurant as well as a coffee and pastry book shop and a deli....and not to forget 'Tricky Ricky's'. We do try to cater for all tastes and are happy you found the one restaurant which you enjoyed. Albi and I are concerned as we don't think you managed to find Guadalmina Beach as it is quite private and maintained by the ****Guadalmina Golf and Spa Hotel which fronts on to it. We are certain they would not entertain 'dog poo and pebbles'. We will ensure the 'Directions to the Beach' that we leave in our apartment are still there. Really lovely apartment furnished to a very high standard. Thank you to Albert & Aleysha for their very hospitable attitude & help with directions.
Although the weather was very mixed during our stay it was great we felt comfortable enough to stay in and watch the tv & enjoy our surroundings.
Hi Alison,Albie and I pride ourselves on both our apartment and our 'service' - we are delighted that despite some mixed weather you enjoyed your time at our place. A & A

Albert's & Ayesha's apartment in Campos de Guadalmina was absolutely fabulous, you won't find a better well equipped apartment on the Costa del sol. The furnishings, decor and spacious living area's give you a great 'welcome home' feeling every time you come back from a busy day sight seeing, or sun bathing. The apartment is well situated near the main coast road giving easy access to all the resorts from Gibraltar to Malaga, as well as the mountain area's such as Benahavis, and Rhonda. As you will see from other review's a car is essential to enjoy the many delights in the Andalusia area. Puerto Banus is only 5 minuets by car from the apartment, we spent many hour's people watching by the marina. Marbella is a 20 minute drive with easy underground car parking so don't be put off from driving to the larger towns.
The apartment is within walking distance from the main shopping complex, this is situated across the busy road and is now reached by a new fly over bridge which was in the final stage of construction when we were there. This bridge will make life a lot easier for anyone in the apartment , a short walk to the bridge means direct access to the large super market, and many resturants which open late into the night. If golf is what your after then on your doorstep is one of the coast's many excellent courses situated at the Guadalmina hotel less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment, walking through a residential area made up of expensive villa's, you can sneek a look through the fencing to see how the other half live. Next to the hotel is Albert and Ayesha's beach, a lovely sandy quiet peacfull beach where you can lie back and dream. We enjoyed our week at Al's place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little bit of luxury in the sun.
Thank you for taking the time to review our apartment. It sounds like you explored the area and liked what you found! People watching whilst sitting at Puerto Banus is a favorite pastime of ours too. We always recommend car hire as this enables you to really get the most out of your break but now thanks to the fabulous foot bridge, there are 3 great restaurants, a variety of shops and a wine bar in strolling distance - so if you just want to chill out you can! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

This is a review from the perspective of two ladies of a ‘certain age’ who spent a week in this lovely apartment.
Having read other reviews, we were persuaded that hiring a car was essential, so booked through Carjet. However, we had both had a stressful week and felt too tired to contemplate driving from the airport on the right-hand side of the road in busy traffic.
Fortunately there was no cancellation fee. We investigated the cost of a taxi from the airport (60 Euros), but a coach to Marbella Bus Station was only 4 Euros, where we got a taxi to the apartment for 12. It was very comfortable and we made a saving of 44 Euros - so would definitely recommend!
We mainly intended to eat and shop in Puerto Banus and Marbella, Weighing up the speed of the traffic, parking problems, and the fact that only one of us would be able to drink, we decided to attempt the rest of our stay without hiring a car.
The supermarket is on the other side of a busy dual carriageway that is illegal to cross. It’s a 20 min walk via the subway, so we managed with only 2 trips for the week. The first night, we had to leave as they were closing at 9.30, and found ourselves hungry and stranded with a full trolley. Amazingly, we were welcomed into one of the local restaurants for paella, and allowed to park our trolley by the entrance. The manager then kindly offered us a lift home, complete with our shopping!
The second time, we rang for a taxi, but taxis have to come from San Pedro, in the opposite direction, and travel up the dual carriageway to return. This is an unavoidable problem that persisted throughout the holiday (with varying ‘taxi- driver’ responses!)
The plus point is that there is a bus stop directly outside the apartment, so we were able to go into Puerto Banus or Marbella easily for under 2 Euros.
We walked down to the beach one evening and ate at the plush Golf Hotel, but we felt it was too far to walk back in the dark, (or on a hot day), so we got a taxi back… and kept our sunbathing to the pool which was quiet, with everything to hand (3 min walk).
The shopping in Marbella is fantastic, especially for handbags and shoes! Retailers are generally friendly and helpful. After shopping, there are some lovely restaurants around Orange Square. One night we even found ourselves popping into nearby shops between courses!!
There is plenty of info on here about the apartment, so we won’t reiterate, but we would just point out that occupants of the front, twin bedroom may need earplugs if traffic noise bothers you…and you may fill up your kettle with warm water a couple of times before you realise that the mixer taps in the kitchen are the other way round to the bathroom.
We left some Malibu & Gin behind. The more the apartment gets used, the more general supplies will build up. We also bought dishwasher tabs as the dishwasher is so easy to use, and washing-up should not be a holiday activity! We left a couple of skirt hangers for the ladies, but you won’t need bath towels, as lovely fluffy ones are provided.
We really loved all the space when getting ready to go out, with a drink and Salsa music filling the atmosphere (take your fave Cds!) We also caught the Live Earth concert and Wimbledon finals on satelliteTV.
On our last night, we came unstuck setting out late for Salsa at ‘The Loft‘. Sadly, this was discontinued the previous week. Lesson learned - internet info may be out of date!. We found a couple more Salsa venues, but they don’t warm up until the early hours, and we didn’t get home til 6am! (more choice for Disco Divas).
Returning to UK, we set out for the bus to Marbella Bus Station, but (mindful of the time) we decided to get a taxi to avoid all the bus-stops. Again we took the coach to the airport and arrived with loads of time to spare.
The apartment was good value for money considering the time of year, and Albert & Ayesha were very attentive in looking after us, before, during and after the trip. We would definitely recommend it to others.
All in all, a great time can be had here, with or without cars or male partners!!

The apartment is extremely spacious, there were four adults in our party and we had plenty of space and a bathroom per couple. The kitchen was great, we stayed and and cooked a couple of nights after overspending on goodies at the well stocked supermarket over the road. It is beneficial to hire a car, and we visited all the other resorts along the coast as well as Rhonda and another hill town further down called Casare, you need to be fit to do this as you park and walk in, the narrow paths are steep but it worth getting to the castle ruin on the top. We had lots of rain but it was warm and we enjoyed ourselves [it was November]
If your looking for a perfect base to explore the many delights of the "Coast of the Sun" Alberts place in the sun is the place for you !
Looking forward to returning soon !!
Andy and Family,Thank you for your review and come back soon. We hope that you had time to venture inland as well as along the coast. Albert and I will be coming over in October and are planning a trip to North Africa and across to the Alhambra Palace in Granada. Well worth a visit and if you did not manage it this time, then try and fit them in when you return.Best wishes.Ayesha
Good central location with both shops and resturants nearby , lovely and peaceful complex with a great pool area, hire car would be useful as some golden sand beaches a short drive far away.
Apartment was well furnished and decorated with everything you would need to make your stay perfect whether eating in or out is your thing. looking forward to going back one day.
Hi Graham, and Caroline,Thank you for your lovely comments and you are right, a hire car does let you get the best out of your holiday as there is so much to see up and down the coast. We are really pleased that you enjoyed our apartment and await your call for your next booking..........Albert and Ayesha
We have just returned from this 5* property - well beyond our expectations and one of the best we have ever stayed in. Our only disappointment was that it was already booked for next August ! For those considering booking, do not hesitate, you will be disappointed if availability has gone by the time you decide!
Prime location for buses along the Marbella cost line which makes a car not necessary. Local shops and restaurants easily accessable by foot with a good choice, even late in the season.
Extremely clean and tastefully decorated - a credit to the owners. Customer service from booking to return by the owners is to an excellent standard ! Many thanks for letting us share your appartment.
Excellent review Tricia if we might say so ourselves! We are terribly sorry that most of August 2010 has already been booked............however the last week in August could have your name on it. It would be lovely to have you back. Dont forget our friends get 10% off and as a returning guest, you definately qualify.Keep in touch.Albert and Ayesha.
We were very ppleased with Alberts Place in te Sun. The apt was modern and clean with all mod cons and there was a nice beach nearby. We would definately recommend the apt.
A fantastic apartment that even a premiership footballer would feel at home in! Very nicely designed with plush furnishings gave this place a classy feel. Some nice touches like a bottle of wine on arrival and some milk and water chilling in the fridge so you dont have to worry about supplies. Lovely pool area which was very quiet so reading a book by the pool was possible as was un-interupted sunbathing! Proximity to the beach was more like 50 mins walking there as we went straight on at the roundabout instead of going right. We came back the correct way and that took us about 20 mins. The public beach isnt signposted, but a hotel complex called The Beach is and this is where we went wrong! The public beach has no amienities so go well stocked with a picnic and plenty of water. The apartment block is very close the the main road / motorway (this can be seen from the kitchen and bedroom 2 window) but the noise wasnt a problem. On the other side of this main road is a supermarket, but if you dont have a car, getting a full weeks shop back over the flyover in a supermarket trolley with a 3 year old is neither easy nor enjoyable! If youre a bookworm, try World of Books which is a lovely English run coffee / book shop with very friendly staff. This is at the foot of the flyover on the same side as Supersol. Some great English-type bars, restaurants and shops a short drive away (get a taxi to pick you up on the Supersol side of the main road and drive down towards Estepona for about 5 mins). Great outside play area for the kids at a bar that was formerly a bowls green. (Local taxi drivers will know this place). We found ourselves to be the only family at this apartment complex which was odd as we went in the summer holidays. Normally this would have been fantastic for my partner and I but the kids (8 and 3 yrs) got a little bored with their own company after a while. Falling back on English tv was great for when they started complaining of being bored. Good that you can get Cbeebies etc... but not a full Sky package. Also the DVDs were a nice touch, but they were all in Spanish, so we never watched them! If we went again, we would definately hire a car as waiting for a bus was a bit hit and miss. The buses, when they arrived, were clean, cheap and the drivers understood our questions, even if they didnt speak English. We went to Aqua Land in Torremolenos on the bus (well, coach) and this took about an hour. It dro pped us off in the town though, no where near Aqua Land, so we also had to get a taxi for the last leg as by then the kid were whinging. This was a very expensive day by the way. We also took the bus to Estepona which was lovely. We would recommend a trip there but try and tie it into market night, which I THINK is a Tuesday but I might be wrong.
On the whole, our holiday was lovely. The apartment was top notch and having kids, it was very safe. The apartment was fenced and you need a key to get inside the boundry. The balcony is a good height so little people dont climb and fall. Having two bathrooms was a god-send too! We would definately recommend it, but probably to our friends without children based on the fact that its quiet and there are no other children around.
Out of 10, this apartment would score a very respectable 7.5 and would come highly recommended by us.
Wow! ................If anyone knows Posh and Becks, let them know we will do them a good deal - as we would for you and your family when you come back!Ayesha and Albert
The apartment was lovely and had everything we needed. We didnt have a car so used taxis to get into Puerto Banus which was only 5-10 mins drive. Bus stop, large supermarket and local restaurants were very conveniently located accross the road. Would definately recommend to friends.
Thanks a lot
It will be a pleasure to meet any of your friends and they would be very welcome at our place. Recommend away!Albert and Ayesha
On behalf of my friends and I, who all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ayesha and Alberts apartment, I would like to say a big thank you for a perfect holiday!
The holiday ran smoothly from day one, thanks to Gemma, who was very friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home!
As informed, the supermarket and beach were both very close, within walking distance, which was perfect seeing as we didnt have access to a car. We did not feel we missed out at all not having a car, and were able to catch the buses which arrived at regular intervals just outside the apartment to travel further when we wanted to!
The apartment itself was well equipped, and with the week of glorious sunshine, the aircon was bliss!
We enjoyed dining out on the balcony, and found the kitchen had everything we could have asked for in order to cook for ourselves. Across the road were many restaurants, which offered delicious food at fairly reasonable prices.
We cannot think of any negatives to this fantastic apartment, and would like to once again thank Albert, Ayesha and Gemma!
We highly recommend this apartment and would love to return!
Thank you Charlotte for your lovely words. We are so pleased that you had a fantastic time. Gemma, our lady in Spain, is a star and I will make sure to pass your thanks along.Feel free to recommend and you are all welcome to return when ever you wish - we look forward to it!!Best wishes,Ayesha and Albert.
- Had a most wonderful holiday. The weather throughout the six days we were at the apartment was fabulous no a spot of rain. The complex is gated and well protected as is the apartment with its own security system. We had the pool to OURSELVES for the WHOLE trip...brilliant. The directions given from Albert and Ayesha were spot on - couldnt have been better written. Albert even phoned to give alternate directions are the originals had road works on them and didnt want to cause us any delays. Gemma the lady in Spain meet us and showed us evrything from the gated locks to the pool, around the apartment air con, sky everything. We had a supply of food to keep us going until we had time to shop, we had milk, tea, coffee, sugar, chips etc! On the day we left she was perfectly on time that we had arranged to hand the keys over. The apartment was spectacular - so modern, fresh and clean. The rooms were brilliant especially the master which my brother, partner and baby son had. There was plenty of room available for the travel cot whichh Albert and Ayeasha had kindly provided for us. It was easily and light to move around so the baby could sit with us in the living room etc. The terrace was lovely and long with patio access from master bedroom and living room. The tables and chairs were modern and sterdy and the clothes rack was well used. The kitchen and its contents exceeded what we expected of the apartment. Huge fride freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwsher (just what you want on holiday) micro, kettle, toaster and every utensil you can think of including the all important bottle opener. Everything was clean and new looking nothing was broken and haggered. The dining area has a lovely set of marble table and chairs and had a matching marble turntable in the middle handy when having a buffet type meal like we did. the sofas were massive and seated all five of us. The Sky and TV were brilliant and had good old britis TV perfect for the Championss League final and MotoGP. There were DVDs and books provided for some entertainment. The style of the apartment was gorgeous modern, fresh paintings on the wall, nice colour scheme... perfect. You can see the pool from the terrace at the side (to see when the gardener had switched the sprinklers off so we could go sunbathe!) Around the apartment there was ample parking space and over the blue bridge was a shopping complex with numerous restaurants (we especially recommend Tricky Rickys and the Indian) the Super Sol was perfect to stock up.. always got what we wanted... San Miguel especially cheap, fresh fruit and veg were brill. There is a newsagents selling British papers. We visited Selwo Safari Park with is a couple of miles up the road. We were at the apartment for a wedding at the Guadalamina Hotel which is lovely couple of minutes stroll past the posh villas and so the apartment was perfectly placed. The communication from Albert and Ayesha before during and after the holiday was 5*. Absolutely lovely people, always asking how the family is and answering any queries we had the same day etc. When we were there we had a friendly callt o see if we were all ok and on our return a contact was made regarding our safejourney home.
I really really recommended you enjoy this apartment and enjoy it was much as we have. I will definately be recommending the apartment to my friends some have already requested some information.
Wow.....What a review. We are over the moon that you and your family enjoyed your stay at our place so much. We try really hard to cover all our bases and really pleased to hear that we are still on the right track. As for the pool, we often find our guests are fortunate enough to have the pool to themselves, this is one of the aspects Albert and I most enjoy. We would love for you and your family or friends to visit us at any time.......providing the apartment is not already booked!!!Ayesha
It was a very luxury apartment, and was situated in a nice area, near to the beach and the shops.
Thank you for your kind words, Im pleased that our apartment was all you hoped for. We understand that choosing a place to stay based on photos and the advert can be daunting and appreciate the faith our guests put in us when they book. You, your family and any of your friends would be more than welcome to return anytime. All the best for 2009,Ayesha and Albert
The first holiday ever where we had no thoughts of home and were sad to come home. The appartment is wonderfull and has everything you could want. The pool area was perfect for the whole family. The area the appartment is in is good in that within walking distance are shops that provide all your groceries including a bakery with great fresh bread and a beach if you rather that than the pool. For us is was in just the right location to visit all the tourist places along the coast with out having to be in them 24hrs a day. Visits to Gibraltar and Selwo Safari Park were both great days out. A car would be recomended unless you just want to do beach and pool although the bus stop is right ouside the appartment if you have the confidence to travel that way. All in excellent.
Thanks for your review, - Our place really is our home from home, if a bit more luxurious, so it always makes us smile when we read that our guests enjoyed their holiday. Fresh bread, cheese and wine by the pool........Come back anytime!Regards Ayesha and Albie.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Albert and Ayesha for their kindness and hospitality! My family and I had an absolutely amazing time and my mother had a great 40th out there. We definitely hope to return next year.
The main attraction to us as a family was the luxurious apartment... it is an absolute beauty, the decor is superb, we were supplied with each and every utensil you could possibly desire in the kitchen. It was basically a home away from home. The description of the apartment and holiday was correct; however we certainly did not expect the superb hospitality we received. Derek was great and very hospitable towards us.
My 10 year old brother developed an abscess whilst we were on holiday, therefore we were in need of a dentist to urgently help us, Derek was very kind and referred us to a brilliant dentist in Estepona (just minutes away from the apartment).
It was a real family holiday, as we are a family of 6 we did not expect the apartment to be big enough, however there are two luxurious bathrooms and a 32” plasma TV in the master bedroom as well as the lounge (the one in the lounge is bigger!)
Albert and Ayesha’s beach was the second main attraction for us! We either spent time in the apartment and swimming pool or at the private beach (near Guadalmina Golf Hotel), which was BEAUTIFUL! The blue Mediterranean sea and the golden sand was breathtaking. And the best part for us was that there were hardly any people there… we visited the beach five days out of seven and in total we noticed maybe 5 or 6 people altogether.
This to me is the definition of true bliss! We explored the nearby towns and villages too. Puerto Banus was amazing with its expensive and classy shops on the beautiful port, where I bought my swanky Prada Handbag. Marbella is also a lovely place to go shopping as they have a huge department store called “El Corte Ingles”.
We enjoyed the Delicious Indian cuisine from Taj Restaurant, which is towards Estepona.
Just before I forget the swimming pool in the apartment was amazing too! We basically had it to ourselves as no one else used it to our enjoyment! I practiced my cannonballs and had a blast topping up my tan and thoroughly enjoyed being under the beautiful blue sky!
Overall, our Spanish experience was fantastic and we definitely recommend to others! It’s a great family holiday or even for that romantic getaway its perfect!
The lovely weather was awesome and nice and hot for us, makes a change from British boring weather. The only negative thing I have to say about the whole experience is that the immigration police in Gibraltar were very ill mannered and threw a brick at my car as we were leaving Gibraltar! After throwing the brick he came running and said “I want your passports ok!”.
The other shocking thing I found was the food prices. Everything is much more expensive out there; however do not let that put you off! It was definitely worth it… I will go back again and again if I can! Thank you Albert and Ayesha!
....You sound like you are about to burst with happiness..........that makes us very happy too. Thank you for your kind words and come back soon,Ayesha and Albert
This is a fantastic property - equipped and furnished to a high standard. Great for children and the little added extras are brilliant. It is in a fantastic location and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone!
Thank you for your views Zoe, funnily enough we agree totally! We are thrilled that you were so delighted. Return anytime.Ayesha and Albie
Rain somewhat dampened our week in Spain but we were still able to enjoy Marbella and the surrounding area including a day trip to Gibraltar. The apartment was quite excellent being clean, tidy and providing very comfortable accomodation. The close proximity of the supermarket and restaurants just over the footbridge was very useful.
We want to go again with the hope of more sun....................
Andy, We pride ourselves on the way we present our apartment so love to hear that it exceeded your expectations......I'll see if i can have a word about the rain...unusual but not impossible unfortunately. Good to hear you'd like to come back, you would be very welcome.Ayesha and Albert
This is a lovley comfortable apartment and ideal for bad weather which is what we had for the entire week hence the apartment was a very good choice because it was warm, comfortable and cosy and believe it or not but we stayed in happily on two nights. The noise from the motorway is intrusive but this can be fixed easily with the addition of double or treble glazed windows.
Albert and Ayeshia are very attentive and concerned as to how the tenants are doing and that is nice as after all this is their home and that's the nice thing about renting from the owners. The location is wonderful, Guadalmina is lovely, local restaurants excellent, I envy them!! I would definitely recommed this apartment.
The property was cleaned and furnished to a high sandard, bedding, sheets and cutlery all povided and again of a good standard, i needed nothing and I slept like a baby,!
Overall i had a super time, the apartment was of a high standard, the owners were very helpful and enthusiastic regarding " my needs". I cannot express my grattitude to them enough for a lovely holiday and to deal wth such, friendly and nice people was more than a pleasure. I have told my family and friends , both of whom would like to stay there, as for me, well, " I will be back" MOST CERTAINLY.
thanks for everything.
The apartment complex was very well kept, lovely grounds around the pool and a nice play area for young children. During the easter holidays it was quiet around the pool, however it's very noisey at the back of the complex as the apartment is very close to the main road.
The apartment itself was modern and spacious, the lounge area was much nicer than most holiday apartments which tend to have uncomfortable sofas. We had no complaints about the apartment at all.
The area behind the complex, towards the sea, is very nice, lots of beautiful villas. The beach is clean and sandy, good for families.
The only downside to this complex is its closeness to the main road which is very busy day and night. Unfortunately, to get to the shops and restaurants across the road, you have to go by car as its very dangerous to try to cross by foot.
Hi Caroline, Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you felt comfortable in our apartment - we too love our sofa and wish we could bring it home with us!The main road you refer to is the N340 which runs all along the entire length of the coast, defining the coastal areas from inland Spain. The developers are intending on putting up a 'glass' partition which will significantly reduce the level of noise to the rear of the complex. We have found (and been told) that once you come into our apartment you would be hard pressed to remember that the road was ever there! There is also a new foot bridge being built which will make access to the commercial center easier, safer and much more convenient.Hope to hear from you again,Ayesha and Albert
Fantastic appartment! Everything about the place was great , lovely lounge with plasma and comfy couch also good selection of DVDs to watch after a hard day at the pool. The attention to detail and all of Alberts handy tips were invaluable.Definately need a car which Albert also helped with at £80 for the week! Will be going back next year and will take 3 friends making the appartment extremely inexpensive.
Thanks for everything.
The property was spacious, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The swimming pool in the complex was clean and well looked after as were the grounds. We would advise however that carhire is a must. The beach was a good 20 mins walk which we found was too far in the heat of the day so tended to use the car. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here and would certainly recommend the apartment to our family and friends.
Property was beautifully presented inside. Very clean. Furniture was tasetful and comfortable. Kitchen was very well equiped. Pool and gardens were lovely. Property was an easy drive to numerous beaches and places to visit. Drive to and from the airport was easy and quick but far enough for there to be no planes over the area. All the arrangements for the rental went very smoothly and we were met and shown around the apartment very promptly.
Had a brilliant holiday.
Was just as the brochure described,,A superb and comfortable apartment,we,were certainly not dissapointed.
Luxuriously furnished; spacious, clean, bright and well equipped.
This appartment truely is immaculate. Large living space and beautiful bathrooms, plenty big enough for our group of four young girls. The kitchen was complete with everything needed for a self catering break and the wine left on the table for our arrival was much appreciated after a few hours of traveling! The whole complex was clean and tidy, obviously well looked after even in the quieter month of February. We did not hire a car but would definately reccommend this due the busy main road directly outside the appartment which we later found out was illegal to try and cross!! It was also quite difficult ordering taxis from the complex so a car is a must have on our next trip out there. Other than this we all had a faboulous time and the nightlife in Puerto Banus was elegant and the bar staff ensured we were well looked after. I would definately reccomend a funky bar called the 'News Cafe' for a relaxing evening overlooking the harbour. As for the younger crowd 'Mambo Bar' and 'Scream' nightclub were the best we found at this time of year although we did get told that 'Dreamers' nightclub is a must do in the summer months and it is open from April onwards.
The Watts Family:
This is truly a beautiful and luxurious apartment, the location is perfect, and access to anywhere is right on your doorstep.
The pool and outdoors of the complex are clean, tidy and scenic.
All the Mod-Coms (bonus bring your sky card) to make you feel at home.
This apartment is highly recommended for a totally relaxing no fuss holiday.
Do follow the website Albertsplaceinthesun.com for info on car rental and flights etc, as we found this truly cost effective.
In our opinion apartment rating 5*****
The property was in excellent condition. It was a good size for four people and had all the facilities that you would require whilst on holiday. The assistant from the landlord and landlady was excellent. They exceeded their responsibilities and were very helpful. The arrival to and the departure from the apartment was hassle free, so the service was excellent.
All information given prior to the stay was correct and therefore my friends and myself were perfectly happy with the holiday. The only thing that i would recommend is that you definately hire a car as this makes travel much more convenient.
