July 2015 - The villa is in a great location on a cul de sac making it very quiet but also within walking distance (20 mins) of the town and the beach and was exactly what we were looking for in a Villa. The pool was a very nice temperature of 32C and the villa was clean, spacious very well equipped and the downstairs looked like it had been very recently renovated. The communications with the Owner were quick and easy and was very simple to book and the at the Villa the check in and check out with Francine was excellent and they were also flexible with the timings for us. I would not hesitate to book this villa again although it could do with some proper curtains in the bedroom upstairs! All in all a fantastic villa and holiday in Moraira!
Dear Nick, Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of your stay at Villa La Cometa in Moraira. It is nice to know that you enjoyed your holiday and liked the villa. Thank you also for your note about the curtains. I look forward to welcoming you back again some time.

Beautiful villa in a nice quiet location. Well equipped, great pool (spent half the time there!), private. Only noice you hear at night are some pigeons and the neighbourhood dogs that seem to bark at everything that moves and occasionally also at things that dont. No street lighting around, so bring a flashlight if you plan to walk around after sunset. Mosquito nets on the windows would be good. Good value for the money.

We visited La Cometa at the end of May to the start of June 2012. It is very comfortable and the pool and patio areas are spacious and fairly private. The villa, both internally and externally, is in need of some TLC whilst it was perfectly adequate, it felt a little tired, dated and could benefit with even a basic a spruce up cosmetically. We noticed that the villa is up for sale, so perhaps this is why it feels a little unloved. There was a fair bit of clutter which we assume is from various guests leaving items and no one throwing them out. Air-conditioning would really benefit the place, especially later in the year, as it was pretty warm at night even when we were there. However, overall it was clean and more than adequate for our needs, and we enjoyed a super holiday there. In terms of location, the downhill walk to the start of the town itself is a around 20 minutes, so a fair walk in the heat but manageable. Unless you are super-fit or a masochist, the return is a taxi ride as it is a reasonably steep hill. There is a bar nearby, called Bar 21, and this was a godsend when we didnt feel like a long walk for a drink and a bite to eat. As others have mentioned, there are a number of very vocal dogs locally and this was a bit of a nuisance, as they seemed to bark whenever we wanted to sleep! Overall a really great holiday and whilst the villa had a few drawbacks, it was very pleasant.
Thank you very much for your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed your holiday and note your point about the villa needing some sprucing up. The owners had a family bereavement so were not able to make their usual annual trip to attend to these things but they will be attended to at the end of this season. We have reported the noisy dogs to the local authorities and are hoping for some action on this issue soon.

We enjoyed our stay, and would like to come back again, allthough we normally would never go back to the same place. A wonderful villa with an excellent pool and spacious terraces, lots of quiet and privacy, besides some neighbor dogs barking sometimes. Nice "small town" village Moraira with lots of facilities, pubs and restaurants and enough playas in close distance. We recommend our friends to go there as well.

The villa is well appointed and in a very pleasant setting. Both showers were excellent and there was plenty of very hot water at all times. The swimming pool was excellent and a good size. The pool was cleaned and serviced twice a week. Plenty of garden furniture.
The house was set on a large site and so gave am impression of space.
Very little to find fault with and we may well return.

A lovely week marred only by numerous insect bites. Air-con would have been helpful (if only in bedrooms). Barking dog and noisy local neighbours a minor but sometimes annoying irritation.Smith and Randalls. Wales. 13th September 2009
Lovely relaxing break, weather great. Shame no air-conditioning & neighbours dog barking.Mr & Mrs Spark, Wiltshire
