Casa Lucia (the house of light) is located on the prestigious Monte Pego community with magnificent views of the Mediterranean, the mountains, orange groves and the Pego-Oliva Marjal natural park, and is just 1 hour from Valencia and Alicante airports. This modern 3 bedroom/2 bathroom detached villa is noteworthy for its incredible views and absolute tranquillity. It is equally suited for family holidays or with a group of friends. Casa Lucia has a wonderful Ibiza style terrace with private pool, a chill out area, a bar, barbeque and outdoor kitchen. The Monte Pego estate itself has lots of activities on site to offer visitors including tennis, padel, cycle tracks in the surrounding countryside, an award winning restaurant with lively outdoor entertainment throughout July and August and a bar/café serving all-day tapas. There are two championship golf courses within a 15-20 minute drive. The nearest beach is under 10 minutes drive and the local markets and supermarkets are also very close. The nearest towns are Pego (10 minutes) and the Roman fishing port of Denia (12 minutes), the region's capital. Denia is full of classy shops, delicious seafood restaurants and an abundance of tapas bars, open air markets and colourful fiestas. The whole area is extremely cosmopolitan whilst never losing its authentic Spanish charm.

Couple from Newbury, United Kingdom Sep 2016

Immediately upon arrival, my wife Lesley and I agreed there was a sense of this villa being a loved and cared for home - not just another holiday villa!

Every attention had been cared for; the cupboards stocked with unperishable needs (with a polite invitation to replenish, so that the next visitors enjoy the same convenience) and every appliance and utensil we could possibly need. There were even videos, games and reading material.

The villa is situated at the top of the Monte Pego area providing stunning views to the west over the town of Pego, its neighboring mountains and the coast beyond. It was so surreal to swim in the evening bathed in the pink of breathtaking sunsets.

Despite the thoughtful supply of a street map, we did need to depend upon our car navigation system to get us to and from the villa through the maze of roads. This was not inconvenient, but the source of much hilarity, as Lesley and I challenged each other to remember the route. In a few days we had memorised it.

Some of the roads up to the villa are steep, but not overly. The villa has a steep drive but the rest of the villa is on a level plot, with only a couple of steps to the main entrance. During our dog walks, we did not encounter any difficulty walking the streets surrounding the villa - we actually enjoyed the exercise (we are early 60s).

The neighbours were very friendly and not intrusive, pleased to offer advice of what to see and where to go. Additionally, we quickly met other dog owners during our daily walks (we had driven out from the UK with our two Lurchers).

Needless to say, during the period of our stay, we were so at home and felt so very sad when the time came to leave.

We recommend this beautiful villa which is augmented by the non-intrusive care and consideration provided by the owners prior to and during the course of our stay.

Carolyn Winbow from Surrey: The location of this villa in the prestigious Monte Pego development has to be seen to be appreciated. The views from the terrace across to Pego town, sweeping along the valley and out to sea are unsurpassed. Tranquility and comfort is in order at this pretty home. The pool is so welcome too.

The villa is not that easy to find first time - I would recommend arriving in daylight but the views are terrific and the amenities are superb. There are three good-sized bedrooms (2 bathrooms), a nice workable kitchen and comfy lounge with TV/DVD etc. Fabulous pool with loungers and outdoor bar/BBQ area. Alicante airport is just over an hours drive away and Benidorm and Javea are in easy reach. There are several good shopping areas nearby and groceries and wine are good and cheap, plus there are several beaches in very easy reach if you get fed up with your own pool. A great villa holiday! It started off with a very nice contact with Carrie Lewis and we felt really well looked after. The house is lovely and the rooms are very clean. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed having a barbeque and overlooking the beautiful view. We defently will come back! Thank you for the unforgettable holiday! (Emmanuela, Germany)
