Villa overview - owner's description

Luxury Villa in Mount Pego, Situate Nr. Denia and Javea, lovingly completed by the owners, with scenic mountain valley views.

The villa has just been lovingly finished by the owners and the garden is completed with trees and shrubs. The villa and pool are elevated from the garden and has scenic mountain valley views. The pool is surrounded by sun chairs for 6 and a brick built barbecue with sink area for the warm summer nights. There is also a front porch with table and chairs for eating outside or relaxing and enjoying the view. At the rear of the villa is a second patio, situated in the shade for those long sunny summer afternoons. To the north, the natural park of Montgó rises up to 753 metres above sea level, nurturing one of the most valuable botanical reserves in the Valencian Region. A journey up the slopes shows a wealth of different vegetation and provides extraordinary panoramic views from the top. There is Golf close by at La Sella and Oliva. Horse riding at La Sella also. There is also a safari park Situated at the bottom of the mountain.
Outside, in an elevated position, is the pool with sun chairs for 6 and a barbecue for the warm summer nights. Also a front porch with table and chairs for eating outside or relaxing and enjoying the view of the mountain valley. At the rear of the villa is a second patio, situated in the shade for those long sunny summer afternoons.

The villa is close to many theme parks and activities for young and old. 30 minutes on the A7 motorway takes you to the theme park, Terra Mitica and the water park, Aqualandia Costa Blanca safari park and sandy beaches are only 5 minutes away. Other facilities include Cycling, Fishing, Golf, Go Karting, Horse riding, Parasailing, Sailing, Sightseeing, Snorkeling, Swimming, Tennis Courts, Walking, Water Skiing, Wildlife viewing and Windsurfing. Local boats provide a water taxi service between Denia, Javea and Moraira. There is a narrow gauge railway between Denia and Alicante, laughingly called the Orange Express, which is the best form of transport to view the magnificent scenery.
From north to south, the capes of San Antonio, San Martín, Negre and La Nao crown the coastline, create a series of coves blanketed with white, sunbleached sand or shingle. You can choose between the busy beach of El Arenal in the centre of the bay or the quiet Granadella Cove, ideal for scuba-diving or snorkeling; commune with the elements on the nudist beach of Ambolo, or discover the secrets of Barraca, Falsía, Pope o Tangó and Caleta coves... The gentle waves separate the coast from the picturesque islands of Portichol and Descubridor out to sea and sculpt the fabulous caves of Orguens and Tallada.
Perched on the mountain tops are the remains of ancient watchtowers reminding us how attractive this region was for the Berber pirates in times gone by. Further inland, the huertas and vineyards cover the countryside around Javea, speckled here and there with farmhouses showing their typical riu-rau silhouettes with characteristic arched porches used for drying grapes to make the region's famous raisins.
To the north, the natural park of Montgó rises up to 753m above sea level, nurturing on of the most valuable botanical reserves in the Valencian Region. A journey up the slopes shows a wealth of different vegetation and provides extraordinary panoramic views from the top.

We found the villa to be very comfortable although we were surprised there was no AC in Bedroom 3. A fan is provided which proved adequate and you can leave the door open to benfit from the lounge AC. The villa was well equipped and very clean. The pool exceeded my expectations. The location is a little remote and the access road takes some getting used to. It was safe to drink the water but this was not advised. There are 2 showers and both these were excellent and there is always hot water. Satellite TV was stated but this proved to be BBC News 24 only. All the beds were comfy and in good condition. There is an umbrella and retractable (manual) blind over the villa near the pool. Good security at the villa and on site. A car is essential.

Property was adequately furnished although some things need updating. e.g. dvd player has seen better days, there is no microwave. Villa itself is private and clean with the exception of the swimming pool. We were not offered a welcome pack by the owner and so assumed there would be one. However, we arrived at the villa at 10 pm on a Saturday night (which the owner was aware of) and had to borrow bread and water from the neighbours (who were fantastic) in order to give our son something for breakfast. We had expected a basic pack if only bread, butter and water. We are buying a property ourselves in this region but would not consider renting this villa again whilst waiting for our own property to be built.

Since this review we have changed our pool maintenances company, added a new Microwave, new DVD. The neighbour’s referred to in this review are the caretakers. I would like to assure any potential renter that the pool is now always clean and free from leaves, as it is cleaned twice a week in summer and once a week in winter. I contacted Mr Ball and have acted on his complaint about the pool which was due to some leaves floating on top. I have taking his comments on board and made the necessary changes. I am proud of our villa and I believe our villa is second to none for quite family holiday in Spain.

THIS PROPERTY IS SIMPLY THE BEST. I never had a chance to let the owner know how fantastic it was but it was. We stayed here three years ago as a family. It was our first taste of spain and it still linger son our tastebuds. The villa was immaculate on arrival the views were spectacular and the location was breathtaking. Admittedly we were concerened about the steep drive up to the property but once you arrive, you've found a hidden paradise. the peole nearby are exceptionally friendly and there's a beautiful restaurant and bar that's within walking distance that we frequented most nights. I cannot fault the communication from the owner - everything was exactly as he said!! I just hope he see's this review anc contacts me to let me know about any other properties he has to rent as I wouldn't rent of anyone else. We're planning on going to spain again this year - we reccommend CASA CAMEG!! Fantastastic
