Overview

The apartment in Monte Miraflores is in the original part of Miraflores. It is set in very lush mature tropical gardens and is an exceptionally well maintained resort. It is in a quiet location - even in peak season! The apartment is large and spacious with a south facing terrace this is exellent for dining or just relaxing with drink. There is a choice of 2 swimming pools, one with a bar selling hot snacks. Just a couple of minutes walk away is the local shopping centre with supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars. Miraflores has its own beach, or head to the more natural beach of Cabopino with its sand dunes and beach bars. Located just 15 mins to Marbella with its fashionable shopping, or to lively Fuengirola with its waterpark, zoo and nightlife. There are over 30 golf courses along the coast all set in stunning locations. During your stay why not visit some of the white hilltop villages or one of of the many Theme parks including Selwo Safari Park. It is all there to enjoy.


Description
This apartment has been built in the Medina style, so stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It is larger and more spacious than a lot of apartments being over 80 square meters. The Miraflores resort is very open with no sense of being crowded in. There are beautifully well maintained tropical gardens surrounding all of the apartments. Our apartment is very well equipped. The kitchen has additional appliances,even a juicer-for making your own chilled fresh fruit juices using local fruit! We have had many wonderful family holidays here. If required we have available for use a travel cot and travel highchair. In front of the apartment is a hedged garden, overlooking the pool with great views to enjoy whilst sitting on the terrace with a glass of Spains finest!
In addition, for the use of guests, Miraflores has tennis courts, a bowling green, a pool with restaurant & nightclub to enjoy.
The private terrace is fully furnished with comfy lie-back chairs with cushions. Just right for a quick siesta! There is a garden in front of the apartment which is hedged off and overlooks the pool which is a terrace below. The pool which even in peak season remains quite quiet has ample sun loungers and sun umbrellas. We have access to another pool just a minutes walk further along. This pool has a bar that sells drinks, ice-creams and light meals during the summer months. An addtional private space is provided by a courtyard by the entrance to the apartment. This can be a shady spot to sit or a gated area for leaving all those beach/pool inflatables etc.

Coast/Beach

Miraflores has its own beach which is within walking distance of the apartment. The long sandy beaches of Cabopino and La Cala are just 5 mins drive from the apartment. We love the beach at Cabopino, as it is a bit more natural with sand dunes and the best beach bar on the Costa del Sol!

Golf

The renowned Miraflores Golf Course and academy is just behind the apartment. Along the Costa del Sol are over 30 golf courses set in stunning locations.

Skiing

The Sierra Nevada ski resort is about 2 hours from us.

Travel

Malaga airport is just 30 mins drive from the apartment. We would recommend the use of a hire car so that you can explore and enjoy all that Andulucia has to offer, although it is perfectly possible to stay in the apartment without a car and use the regular local bus service. There are shops, bars and restaurants a couple of mins walk of the apartment. We can arrange transfer to and from the airport if required.

Further details

Within a couple of minutes walk are supermarket (with fresh baked bread!), cashpoint, a variety of shops and several bars and restaurants., not to mention the internet cafe to help you keep in touch. During your stay we recommend that you head for the rustic Andulucian countryside and visit some of the Pueblos Blancos (white villages). These are perched on the top of hills and are quite breathtaking. There are so many activities available to keep everyone happy. From a day lazing around the beach or pool, to numerous theme parks including a safari park, or aquarium. Or a day trip to visit one of Spains cultural highlights such as Ronda or the Alhambra Palace at Granada. There is so much to do and see in and around the Costa del Sol it is a challenge to fit it all into one holiday! To keep life simple you can book day trips e.g. to Granada or Gibraltar from the Miraflores reception.

The property was exactly as described on the web site. Directions to the property were easy to follow and accurate, on arrival we found the property spotlessly clean and well prepared for our arrival. The facilities in and around the area we good and easy to find. The local managers Casa Care were only a phone call away when we needed any help, much better than having to call back to the owner in UK every time you needed a question answeared. All in all an excellent property that we will certainly visit again and again.

Once again we really enjoyed our stay, will certainly be booking again next year. The views from the property were excellent as you would expect from being up the hill in Calahonda. However with the use of the hire car everything was in easy reach. The pool was a good size and never seemed to be that busy so the children were in their element.

very quiet,calm,clean and friendly.The property was clean and well equipped.We had one little problem but it was dealt with quickly and in a very friendly manner. We had a stress free time and were very please with all the surroundings.
