Villas, apartments and holiday rentals in Majorca
Majorca is the largest of the Balearic islands and a wonderful setting for a fun-filled holiday. Lively resorts line the coast and the beaches are some of the finest in Spain. But Majorca is more than just seaside holidays: the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range in the north east to south west part of the island is a UNESCO world heritage site whilst the capital city, Palma de Mallorca, offers vibrant nighlife set amongst it's classical architecture. The impressive Roman Gothic cathedral is one of Europe's largest: it's 121 metres long by 55 metres wide whilst the nave is 44 metres high - higher than the nave in Notre Dame in Paris.
Majorca is famous for it's beaches. The southeast and southwest coast typically have sweeping sandy bays that catch the day's sun whilst the northern part tends to have more secluded pebbly bays with striking scenery and clear water perfect for snorkelling. If you venture inland you'll find pine forests, rocky mountains and tinkling goat bells accompany manicured Moorish gardens and extraordinary, sonorous caves with subterranean lakes. You'll also stumble across many pretty and unspoilt Majorcan villages.
