Set within the more exclusive end of Los Cristianos this apartment offers the perfect combination of peace and tranquility yet is only 10-15 minutes walk from the beach and resort centre for those who like it a bit livelier.
This apartment is quite unique. It benefits from a huge ground floor terrace yet still have sea views to the right over Los Cristianos harbour to the sea. From here you have the sunshine from dawn till dusk!
The apartment also has a range of satellite TV channels including BBC1, 2, ITV, CH4, Sky Sports and others.
The complex of El Mirador is situated in a select area in Los Cristianos. It is a modern complex with lovely views over Los Cristianos to the sea.
The HUGE ground floor terrace offers the perfect combination of sun and shade. One half of the terrace is covered and therefore offers shade and relief from the sun. The rest of the terrace benefits from glorious all day sunshine. With sunbeds you can relax in peace and quiet and just take the occasional stroll to the pool if you fancy a dip! The terrace is situated in a very quiet block, where no-one can walk past or near, so it is particularly private - quite rare for El Mirador.
The Living room has double sofa and armchair. Satellite TV and a DVD player are provided. Patio doors from the living room lead to the large balcony.
The roofed part of the terrace has a patio table and 4 chairs, whilst the large sunny part has 2 sunbeds and of course those views out over Los Cristianos!
The kitchen is sparkling and full equipped. The bathroom is fresh and spacious. The bedroom has a huge fitted wardrobe, twin beds and patio doors also leading to the terrace.
The utility cupboard in the apartment houses a washing machine.
Please note that no smoking is permitted anywhere in this apartment.
The complex has two swimming pools, both are real suntraps and are therefore ideal for sun worshippers.
The complex is extremely well situated for all local amenities. This more prestigious area of Los Cristianos has some lovely restaurants close by, plenty of bars (including a Sports bar showing all the leading Sporting events), a well stocked supermarket, car hire and excursion shops.
The main resort center, Los Cristianos harbour and the beautiful beach at Las Vistas are a 10 minute walk. Here you will find a large selection of shops, boutiques, nightclubs and some lovely sea front bars and restaurants.

20 minutes from Airport, 10 minutes walk to Los Cristianos center with beach beyond. 5 mins driving to Playa de Las Americas. Las Americas and Adeje Golf courses within 5-10 minute drive.

I felt uncomfortable with the neighbours. I felt like I couldn't let my 4 year old daughter enjoy herself out there and kept feeling I had to tell her to be quiet. We are very respectful people who have stayed in the El Mirador complex several times and my daughter is a very well behaved girl who just wanted to be a 4 year old having fun
Apparently the neighbours phoned the owners on our 2nd day to inform them there were 4 people in the apartment. (Apparently they saw a 4th person quite a few times on the terrace) this was rubbish and clearly stirring things. I had my parents round for lunch one day.
We have just returned from our stay at El Mirador. There are a few things that I was not happy with.
I had paid for the welcome pack and there was nothing there when we arrived and I phoned a Sean & Julie who said they would contact the owners and get back to me. This was on day one and no one got back to me the entire holiday.
I had also phoned them to say that I had agreed with Sarah that I would be provided with 2 X complex keys but only received one making it very difficult for me and my husband to do anything separately as I explained in my e-mail. I also had asked about fans as knew there was no air conditioning but was told there was 2 large fans in the apartment but there wasn't there was only 1 very poor fan that hardly have any air making it extremely uncomfortable in the apartment especially for my 4 year old daughter.
The ironing board is in desperate need of replacement as it was lopsided when trying to use it. These are all things I believe to be standard when staying somewhere.
I also wish that I had been informed just how many steps there was up to our apartment making it very difficult for me to try and carry a buggy up and down each day.
I also never received my welcome pack that I prepaid for.
Not too impressed
Having stayed at the El Mirador many times, (including this property previously,) we knew what to expect. The location of the apartment is good, with large extensive patio and garden area - which also gives good views of the Los Cristianos harbour and town. Sun comes mid morning (summer) and lasts until almost sunset, good for ensuring your all over tan! The patio furniture is fairly dated, and past it's best, but is still usable. Also, be warned, there is a large number of steep stairways, so not good for unfit, or elderly people with mobility problems!
The apartment has an on-going problem with "micro ants" which are everywhere on the worktops, in the cupboards, on the walls, and get into any food packaging that cannot be tightly sealed, (e.g. sugar, Tea, Biscuits etc.,) we even had some of them getting into our smartphones and tablets when they were being charged up on the worktops! You can buy a spray to keep them in check, but you have to be vigilant and check for outbreaks - daily! They were even in the bedroom cupboards, and over the bath and bathroom walls. (We had this problem with this apartment when we stayed previously a number of years ago, so, this is obviously an inherhant problem with the apartment which is not being dealt with.)
The internal facilities of the apartment were basic, but adequate. There is a good T.V. with satellite programs, but no DVD player. Rest of the furniture (sofa, chairs, cupboards etc., are all servicable and look o.k.) There is no Air Conditioning, just a portable Fan, so, keeping cool in the summer is practically impossible. The Bathroom fiitings are showing signs of age, and the shower facility (within the Bath) is difficult to use without flooding the bathroom floor. We also had an issue when first using the pans / frying pan. Both these items had cooked in food stuck to them, and had to be deep cleaned before they could be used. This was probably a previous tenant, but we felt that whoever cleans and prepares the apartment for the next client/s should have checked all the utensils.
This apartment is reasonably good value for money, however, the major problem is the infestations of the micro ants, which seriously needs attended to!
We had a 1 week stay early August, and loved it. Apartment was ideal for our needs; quite basic, but that suited us as we were on a chill out week - sunbathe on the terrace, by the pools and eat out every night! Can't comment too much on the equipment there, as didn't use that much; what we needed, cutlery, cups, plates, glasses etc, all there. We did have to defrost the fridge first day though as it wouldn't close! It is a small 1 bed apartment, but in summer, this doesn't matter. Point to note: there are NO ceiling fans in either main room or bedroom (and no a/c), just a stand up fan in the bedroom.Temps were in the 40's every day, so not that great really, as it was very noisy and not much cool air! In bedroom, 2 single beds, but only 1 bedside table, so nowhere to put a glass of water for nighttime . Enough cupboard space, and a safe in there too.
The outside terrace is a decent size, nice view to the right to the sea/harbour (mountain to the left), wall across back for privacy, although that is wasteland so nobody goes there (shielded by white wall). The terrace gets sun majority of the day, and nice shaded part outside patio doors (bedroom and living area both lead onto terrace).
The complex is very well kept; clean and tidy, trees and bushes all around complex, we found it very quiet, even by the pools. They did not get overly busy, enough sun beds, but not a lot of shade! Pool temperature very pleasant, both main pools (although quite small) are all one depth throughout. There is also a toddlers pool.
Outside complex there is an abundance of bars/restaurants/cafes, plenty of choices all within a 5 minute walk. 10 minutes down the main road and you're on the sea front and harbour with plenty more choices (all the different ones we tried were all very good food).
It doesn't get too busy or loud, and you can't really hear much at night from the apartment, as it is tooked away at the back corner of the complex, in a block of 6 (this one is the lower middle of 3 with 3 above, with the same set up facing the other way into the complex).
Be warned though, there are plenty of steps up to the apartment (all in separate stages). The complex is built on a hill, so if you have difficulty with steps, may be an issue!
We would have no hesitation in going back - just some of the details given in the description were a bit misleading (ceiling fans! and it is definitely only the lower level apartment, there is no upper terrace!).
We arranged airport transfer; Larry collected us and took us back.
This was our second stay at this property. The apartment is in great condition and spotlessly clean. We had no problem at all checking in. We called Larry who arrived promptly to give us access to the complex. We did not have any need to contact the owner during our stay, linen and towels were changed half way through. The overall location is excellent with lots of amenities in the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this property. We would hope to return in the future.
Acceptable lovely patio to sit out in. Bed comfy. But shower not very good and kitchen full of ants. Plus no one to meet us,at the complex as Larry was busy
