House overview - owner's description

Spacious 4 bedroomed chalet style villa on one level with large community pool and play area. Situated on La Sella Golf and Tennis Resort 10 minutes drive from the towns and beaches of Javea and Denia

The Villa:

This spacious Chalet Style Villa is on one level with private enclosed garden, parking for up to 4 cars, BBQ and several outdoor seating areas including a roof terrace The large community pool is in front of the villa, with lawns, small children s play area, 3 small additional pools and water cascades.

Located on the prestigious La Sella Golf Resort. The 18 hole golf course is just 5 minutes by car and La Sella Tennis Club which offers a full range of Tennis Courses and Clay Courts, is 5 minutes walking distance.

Other facilities within a 5 minutes walk include a supermarket, horse riding, bar and restaurant and a chemist. There are also two other restaurants located within 10 to 15 minutes walk respectively.

The towns and beaches of Denia and Javea are 10 minutes by car.

The Region:

The Costa Blanca is a coastal area of fertile agricultural land with outstanding beaches and backed by mountains and valleys of wonderful rugged beauty. The climate is sunny and mild in the winter and hot in the summer months.

Magical scenery is all around and roads are mostly quiet except in high summer. Traveling up and down the coast is very easy on the A7 toll road, allowing day visits to Benidorm, Alicante, Valencia, Murcia and Elche.

The towns and villages show styles derived from early Moorish architecture as well as medieval Christian kings and castles abound. Once out of your car and walking through the narrow streets, a whole new world opens up.

January is often sunny and dry, but days are short. February is wetter but has the great bonus of hundreds of almond trees in full flower: pink and white blossom in every valley. March has the festival of the Fallas when many towns build large structures of satirical figures, some 18 feet high and then burn them on the 19 March along with a very noisy and spectacular fireworks display and marching bands. March/April is the time for Easter parades and wild flowers on the hillsides.

The summer months are sunny and often hot with lots of fiestas in every town and village.

Of the many places to visit there is the Jalon valley, Guadeleste, Fonts D'Algar and several coastal towns, all of different character. Valencia city is always vibrant and full of interest and easy and cheap to get to by train.

The Area:

The location of the chalet is perfect for Golfers, Tennis Players and Horse Riders all of these are minutes away.

Denia is a lively Spanish town with two good beaches and a large selection of shops and cafe/ bars. There is a very good variety of restaurants of all types with fresh fish arriving on the local quay every weekday. You can catch the ferry to Ibiza from here.

Pedreguer is a large village with a lively atmosphere and good markets and supermarkets. The popular family holiday resort of Javea has something for everyone and has two beaches of fine sand and outstanding restaurants. Calpe has a wonderful beach and promenade and excellent bars and restaurants.

Great place, which I highly recommend if you want to be a walking distance of a horseriding club, a tennis club and a large and beautiful swimming pool...beware of Mosquitos though!

From Loughborough, United Kingdom Jul 2006

We were looking for somewhere quiet and to relax but not too far from the hustle and bustle of Spanish life. The house is perfectly situated for everything you could wish for. Just five minutes from Denia and the beaches, walking distance to the golf, tennis club, bars & restaurants and a small supermarket. The house had plenty of space, nice decorated very comfortable with all the home comforts we needed. We really loved it here are will be coming back next year. Thank you!

From Manchester

I stayed here with a group of friends. Some of us are tennis players and others arent, so the location of the house was ideal, being Right by the tennis courts and right by the amazing pools.
We all loved that we could walk to the bar and restaurant as it meant no-one had to be the designated driver!

From Sunbury On Thames

I have stayed at this property with my family and with my partner and I absolutely love it. It is close enough to local amenities when you want them, but peaceful and quiet when you dont. There is so much to do in the local area that I would go back time and again and still find something to do. The accommodation is spacious, clean and fully equipped. I couldnt ask for more and would thoroughly recommend it. It suits all generations, all tastes and is ideal. I will definitely be booking again.

A Piece of paradise - My family and friends live in this beautiful villa in the winter. This piece of paradise on earth. There is absolutely all conditions for complete comfort and relaxation. Pools complex is in two steps from the villa. Sharron, the hostess, is a person who is rare. I'm amazed and grateful for the care, understanding and compassion. she is ready to help guests in any matter, not even related to housing. with her all the impossible becomes possible. If you decide to stay at La Sella, you need t stay at Villa Sharron. i I will definitely be back here again.

Absolute Perfection What can I say, I've stayed in this property several times and I love it more and more. It keeps both sunshine and shadey areas all day long, and unlike so many other properties on La Sella mountain, there are no mosquitos to be found here! It's big enough to spend evenings indoors and not feel cooped up, the kitchen is well equipped and the whole place is always very clean. Sharron is the perfect host, always on hand to help and very friendly. I can't recommend this villa enough. This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. Home from home with beautiful views and good weather- Sharron is an excellent host and we really enjoyed our stay at the villa. Sharron was there to meet us on arrival and had milk, bread there for us which made us feel very welcome. The house is a good size and was very well cleaned prior to our stay. As we had young kids the the kitchen was important and it had all the utensils, cutlery and crockery that we needed. It also had a washing machine which we found very useful. The garden is ideal for young children as it is completely enclosed and it was very safe for them to run around by themselves. The BBQ area was very useful and we used it a number of times during our stay. The roof terrace is was very nice place to relax in the early morning or late at night to sit and watch the stars. Access to the pool is very convenient from the villa and Sharron has light weight deck chairs that you can bring with you. We really enjoyed our stay in the villa, it was very relaxing with all the convenience of home but with the added advantage of good weather. Excellent- We had a great stay at this villa. It is located in a nice position. Plenty of room for us, a family of five. Sharron was very helpful and friendly. The kids loved the pool which was about two minutes walk away. Lovely restaurant with a terrace only five minutes walk away. Would definitely return.

A nice villa with great garden and nice swimming pool - We had a great weekend with our tennis team. The villa is situated close to La Sella Tennis. It was big enough for our 6 with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The garden is very nice! We hope to come back! This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

“Fab holiday - great place for children and adults alike” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2014 We have stayed here twice and have had a great time on both occasions. The villa is lovely for children - all on one level with a totally enclosed garden so you can relax knowing your children are safe. The pool is also really close (practically in the garden) but far enough away that no small person is going to fall in when you are not looking! The pool is a good size (much nicer than the picture) and a lovely temperature. It was never busy when we were there - in fact we had the shallow pool to ourselves most of the time (and there were usually 2-6 in the bigger pool). Sharron really cares about her house and her guests so makes you very welcome and is happy to help with tips about good places to go. She had provided milk and bread on our arrival! This year we had a couple of hours at the nearby tennis club which was fun (if a little hot)! The local shop (under 5 mins away) also does fresh croissant and pain o chocolat every morning (and fresh bread). The villa has a lovely BBQ and roof terrace - and is in a good location for the beach and other activities - so would recommend to adult groups as well! Lots of space! “Perfect home for a Holiday with Kids” 5 of 5 starsReviewed September 1, 2014 The property is well situated in the La Sella complex benefiting from sun and cooling breezes. The property is spacious both inside and out and all the facilities necessary to provide a fun holiday break with the kids (aged 11-13) Proximity to the pool and facilities are excellent, easy drive to the beaches and Denia is a nice family destination. “Peaceful, relaxing- just what we wanted!” 5 of 5 starsReviewed August 13, 2014 Just returned from a lovely holiday at this villa. it is situated a short drive from Denia centre where you can find a whole host of things to do. I travelled with my husband, sister, brother in law and our children ranging from 9months to 16 years. This was my first villa holiday and it was ideal for us all. The younger children loved playing in the garden and I knew they were safe as it's all enclosed. The older children were entertained when we were in the villa with their phones and iPads using the WiFi supplied. We ate up on the roof terrace some evenings when we weren't out and about and the views were lovely. The swimming pool was a short walk away and was lovely and not too busy. The photographs on the listing are lovely of the pool but it's even nicer in real life. We spent most of our time there. The villa itself is spacious and has everything you'll need. Sharron the owner is on hand at all times if there is anything you need help with. While we were there the dishwasher broke and we had a brand new one in 2 days. *Tip for parents with babies/toddlers* The villa doesn't have a high chair so it would be useful to bring one of those material ones that fit over chairs. You can get themfrom Mothercare or on line for about £15. It would be really useful for taking out too, as a few places we ate at didn't have high chairs. Overall we had a brilliant holiday. The villa was excellent value for money and Denia is an ideal location to explore the surrounding areas. We would gladly return. “Absolute bliss!” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2014 I've stayed with Sharron several times over the last 2 years, she has always been exceptionally helpful, and lovely too. The house is really spacious, having two bathrooms makes a huge difference when there's lots of people all trying to get ready at once! I'm rubbish in hot weather but there are lots of spaces in the house that stay cool which really helps after a long hard day at the pool (which is about a 30 second walk away). I've always had a car when staying at Sharron's which makes it really easy to get around and explore Denia/Javea - my favourite bar is called Zensa and is down on the local marina. Overall I would say - really clean, really good location, perfect pool that doesn't get too crowded, and a host who is always just a phone call away should you need her! Love it. “Excellent location in Marina Alta with Golf, Tennis, Horseriding and fast access to beaches and towns”5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014. We had a great time in this nicely furnished house, with place for all of us, at walking distance from a big swimming pool, an excellent horse riding club and sports facilities. Marina Alta is a great region, uniquely diverse and beautiful, excellent food and a diversity of different beaches and towns . Beware however that the tap water is not drinkable, and mosquitos are widespread and pretty clever! This review is the subjective opinion of a TripAdvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Julie from Southend - 4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013 “Lovely Villa in Peaceful Surroundings” We stayed here in August 2013 and were extremely pleased with the villa and La Sella itself. The villa was spacious and comfortable and we would have no hesitation in recommending this to others. The owner Sharron was very helpful and friendly and we are hoping to return again very soon!

Emily from London September 2013 We had a fantastic stay at the villa. It is a great location for families with both the villa and garden being totally safe and enclosed. It would also be a great place for groups of friends/older kids. The pool was lovely and never busy while we were there and there is lots to do in the surrounding area. We certainly hope to go back and would recommend the villa to anyone.

“Fantastic villa in picturesque location, close to mountains and sea” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013 Weve spent one week at Sharrons fantastic villa with our two kids and our friends also with two kids. The place was fabulous, perfectly located in the heart of a small village with great views of the mountains and just 15 minutes drive to the beaches of Denia and beautiful Javea. The house has a beautiful garden, two terraces (one on the roof). Inside it has all the necessary amenities, 4 bedrooms, a nice kitchen and a large living room. The swimming pool is around the corner. The entire place is an oasis of tranquility. I would highly recommend this to families, couples or friends travelling together. Sharron was a great host, very helpful and quickly at responding to any inquiries.

“ideal holiday home” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013 As a family of seven including teenagers this house and location was ideal for us. Clean spacious accommodation and the roof top terrace dining area was used every day. Good local restaurants are within walking distance. Car required to visit Javea (best beach), Benidorm and Denia. Communal pool is spacious. All in all we had a wonderful stay and Sharron was very good and convivial hostess. Book with confidence.
