Fantastic 4 bed townhouse in Duquesa Costa del sol

Overview

The property is situated in a private gated urbanisation in walking distance of the beautiful port of Duquesa, where there is a host entertainment for both day and night. Quiet and peaceful, yet only twenty minutes from the larger resorts such as Puerto Banus, Estepona, Sotogrande and of course Gibralta.

It has easy access to all amenities, including the local market for bargain hunting, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.

Beautifully finished with contemporary furniture it boasts two sun terraces and a rooftop solarium to offer a comfortable and stylish base from which to enjoy your holiday in the Costa Del Sol.

The area is ideally suited for family holidays in the summer, singles and couples during the rest of the year, and of course the area’s enormous selection of golf courses offer fantastic golf challenges whatever the weather.

Duquesa area
The perfect place for a morning croissant and coffee, overlooking the variety of boats that jostle in the marina, the stunning port of Duquesa provides the ideal location for all types of water sports and boating activities. The attractive promenade around the marina is home to a tempting selection of family restaurants, bars and cafés. Options for eating include French, Italian, Chinese, Indian, Thai and of course, Spanish with its fresh local fish.

Within a few minutes drive are top class golf courses, such as Valderrama, Sotogrande, San Roque, Finca Cortesin and many others. Other local activities include water park for the children, wild life park, riding, sailing, polo, diving, walking, culture and history.

Lying only 1km from Duquesa along the main A7, Sabinillas is the nearest town with a street market every Friday and a extensive market every Sunday morning - just the thing for those looking for a bargain. It has retained its own character which includes an inviting seafront promenade with flourishing pavement cafes and bars. While the town itself has the atmosphere and pace of life for those who want a touch of the real Spain, it also has a reputation for superb seafood bars and restaurants and a superb sandy beach that stretches the entire length of the town.

Some of the other local attractions include :
Gibraltar (25 minutes west) with its famous Rock and Barbary Apes
Tarifa (45 minutes west) along a coastal drive offering the most spectacular views of the Straits of Gibraltar and Africa is a famous windsurfing location and has extensive golden beaches. Ronda (45 minutes inland) is a well known historical city with spectacular views over a deep gorge and many beautiful buildings and monuments.
Casares (10 minutes inland) with its medieval monastery, is a beautiful Andalusian hilltop village.
Mijas (15 minutes inland) is steeped in history dating back to Roman times, with ancient walls, picturesque little squares and winding lanes, lined with restaurants and arts and crafts artisan shops, it has a truly charming atmosphere.

Estepona (15 minutes east) is another beautiful coastal town with an equestrian centre and riding school.
Puerto Banus (25 minutes east) is a haven for designer shopping, and has a marina which houses prestige yachts such as those owned by the Saudi royal family. You can choose to dine out at some of the most exclusive restaurants in this part of Spain or alternatively just take a drink at one of the many quayside bars and watch the Ferraris, Maseratis and Bentleys go by.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region

Stayed Sunday 20 July 2014 with Family
Overall this is a very good rental property situated in a quiet area but within easy reach of Duquesa Port and the surrounding beaches. The villa was as described in the advert but a hair-dryer had to be bought to satisfy the grooming requirements of the "fussier" members of our party. The local manager was very helpful and called round to check if we needed anything on a couple of occasions during our stay. The gardens and pool are well maintained and the complex is currently (July 2014) being given a face-lift with exterior paining being carried out. I will definitely consider booking the villa again in the future and would recommend it to friends and family.

The property was exactly as we expected. The whole holiday experience was very good, from booking, to receiving the keys and excellent directions, including maps, to the property from the airport. The house had everything you would want to make a great holiday. The pool and gardens are very well maintained and there is a life guard on duty most of the time too! The beach and port are about 10 - 15 minute walk from the appartment, but a car is needed if you want to go any further.
