The apartment is beautifully furnished and well equipped, it has a very large terrace (40 sqm) where you can enjoy al fresco dining with views of the sea and nearby mountains. It is located in a secure complex that includes 4 large pools, one of which is supervised during the summer months, and a paddling pool. The complex is close to a superb 18-hole golf course and health spa.
The nearby Puerto de la Duquesa offers access to clean and well appointed beaches, a wide variety of restaurants and bars overlooking the marina and a long promenade for a relaxed walk or those early morning jogs. Nearby towns include Estepona, Marbella, Puerto Banus and Sotogrande, while a short drive up the mountains offers long walks in woodland and magnificent views of the coast all the way to Gibraltar.
Duquesa / Duquesa Village area
Duquesa Village is a peaceful, beautifully landscaped complex about 15-20 minutes walk from Puerto La Duquesa, a quiet marina which has a wide range of bars, cafes and restaurants. The wide, sandy beaches on both sides of the marina have a European Blue flag for cleanliness and good amenities.
A promenade, which has exercise areas with outdoor gym equipment at several points, links Duquesa to the neighbouring town of Sabinillas on one side and the small fishing village of El Castillo on the other, and is ideal for walking, cycling and jogging.
SABINILLAS has a wide range of beach front restaurants, cafes and bars while EL CASTILLO has more traditional Spanish restaurants and tapas bars serving excellent local fish.
There are nature walks at nearby SOTOGRANDE and beautiful drives through woods and vineyards into the mountains, where you can stop at traditional and picturesque white villages (Pueblos) such as RHONDA, and CASARES, or drive through the natural parks and stop at the the many viewpoints (Miradors) from which there are stunning views of the mountains, and the coast all the way to GIBRALTAR and north Africa.
Nearby places to visit include GIBRALTAR, where you can climb or travel by cable car to the famous rock, still home to a colony of Barbary Apes and go on Dolphin safari trips, and RHONDA, a beautiful white town renowned for its dramatic location and amazing views.
For those interested in golf, La Duquesa Golf is the about 1 mile from the apartment, but there are several others in the area such as San Roque, Valderrama, Valle Romano, Los Flamingos, to name just a few.
For those who like being pampered La Duquesa Golf Hotel has an adjacent luxury Thalasso Spa pool and treatment rooms.
