Villa 43 - James & Cathy's Costa Blanca Townhouse (2 Bed)


Our two bedroomed townhouse is fully air- conditioned and has a private roof terrace with sea views. The apartments comprise of a spacious lounge/dining room, with modern comfortable furniture, TV DVD/CD. Fully fitted kitchen. Family bathroom with bath and shower, one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, both have fitted wardrobes. The roof top solarium has a table, chairs and sun loungers. There is a double sofa-bed in the living room.
Ideal for families with children, secure gated complex. Pool gates have coded entry. The pool area has a warden in the main Summer months for added peace of mind and enjoyment. There is also secure underground parking available.
This accommodation offers superb value for money.

Local Amenities
The apartments are within walking distance to many local restaurants and shops. The local beach is about 15 minutes walk and several other local beaches are about 5 minutes by car.
There are several beaches within a 10 minute drive of the property, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Riog, Campoamor. Punta prima beach is only a 10 to 15 minute walk away. All these beaches are blue flag. They all have facilities so you can get drinks,snacks etc. At La Zenia beach you can hire jet skies, pedalos and banana rides.
The local supermarket is just a 5 minute walk from the property, or a 10 minute walk will take you to the Eroski centre. Torrevieja town is 10 minutes by car. In the Summer there is a local bus service which will take you to any of the local beaches.

What to do here


There are restaurants and bars a 10 minute walk away, where you can get English, Spanish, Indian, Chinese, Italian food. There is also an internet/phone shop, banks, gift shops, chemist, newsagent etc. Playa Flamenca centre is a 15 minute walk away there you will find more bars and restaurants. The bars have live entertainment and karaoke etc. A great selection of restaurants offering everything from pizza to steaks etc. Aquapolis water park a 10 to 15 minute drive away were you can spend all day on the water slides from June to September. Go shopping at the habaneras shopping centre where there is a wealth of shops for you to look round. Also there is a cinema, ten pin bowling all in a purpose built entertainment centre called Ozone. There is a Go Kart track at Punta Prima. At San Pedro they have a water nature reserve, see the flamingos and a wealth of other migrating birds. Or go to the mud bathing lagoon which is in the same area (must be good the locals use it). A trip in to Torrevieja, walk along its promenade enjoy a drink at the bars walk through the open air market or take the kids on the fun fair which runs every evening in the summer. Look round the hundreds of shops for a bargain. There are also a number of local Spanish Markets within easy reach.


There are four 18 hole top class golf courses in the area. Villamartin, Royal Campoamor, Las Rambles, La Finca at Algorfa All these golf courses are within a 10 to 20 minutes drive away. Value for money
The villa was as described, with a lovely private and secluded roof terrace with plenty of sun and shade. The villa was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was well supplied with cutlery, crockery, saucepans etc, and had a lovely large fridge with freezer. There was a useful very small back yard with just enough room for 3 washing lines to dry clothes. The 2 pools were very clean and there was a lifeguard on site most of the day. There were no sun loungers by the pool but plenty of grass for sunbathing. There were 2 good supermarkets around 10 minutes walk away, which were open on Sundays from June-Sept. There was only one very small beach with one nice restaurant overlooking the sea within 30 mins walking distance. You would need a car to get to decent beaches. We were welcomed by the owners on site manager (Dave) who was very helpful and showed us how everything worked. We had asked the owners to provide a basic welcome pack (bread, milk, water etc) which Dave provided at cost price. He also visited us during our stay to check that everything was OK and gave us the phone number of an English speaking taxi company. The villa exceeded our expectations in its cleanliness, size, private sun patio, English TV stations, washing machine, kitchen equipment, helpfulness of site manager, that the pools were often empty and that there were 2 toilets (downstairs cloakroom and main upstairs bathroom). The air conditioning in the bedrooms and lounge was great! Disappointments: one of the 2 sun loungers was broken, the sun lounger cushions were tatty, and there were no good beaches within walking distance. Also it was 55 minutes from Alicante airport, and a taxi cost around 70 euros each way. It is an ideal villa if you want a quiet sunbathing holiday in a well equipped villa with 2 communal swimming pools. It is not good if you want a lively location with lots of nightlife and beaches, unless you have a car. We wanted a quiet sunbathing holiday, which we thoroughly enjoyed, and we would certainly stay in this villa again.
