This beautiful holiday home is located just 80 meters from the beach in the village of La Cala de Mijas, on the Costa del Sol. With 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and 2 spacious living rooms, the property is ideal for larger families or groups. The large private pool promises refreshment on those summer days whilst the lovely terrace areas are perfect for dining 'al fresco', enjoying a glass of wine or reading a book in the shade. The spacious interior has artwork on the walls and a mini library, also a games room with pool table. The house comes equipped with air conditioning, wireless internet and satellite TV. The villa is ideally located between Marbella and Málaga, so you can reach all of the area's highlights, including the fortress of Gibralfaro, the old town of Málaga or the Picasso Museum and of course the amazing local beaches.

This beautiful villa is made from brick or stone and was originally built in 1980 and refurbished in 2010. The agent has rated it as a four star property so it is a well-equipped villa with above average furnishings. It is also great value for money. This villa has a private pool and is located in La Cala De Mijas, only 1km from Mijas Costa. The nearest airport is only 33km away. It is set in a very convenient location, just 80 metres away from a sandy beach. There's also a restaurant only 50 metres away.

The villa has free wireless internet. You can also park on-site at no extra charge. The villa is well equipped: it has a refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. It also has a barbecue, a garden and some garden furniture outside.

There is a golf course nearby.

We were a large party of 13 who stayed in May for one week (out of season). Firstly the location is great, right on the beach and I would say pretty secure. However it wasn't cheap compared to what we got...yes it's great for a large party/2 families etc but all I can describe the interior and facilities inside is very tired and slightly run down. We had to pay for linen and a final clean on top of the actual price of the villa which I don't particularly agree with I think this should be in with the overall price. The linen I think was probably bought in the 1970's and whilst was clean was very threadbare...not enough towels were provided and the linen cupboard was padlocked. The towels I think were probably bought in the 1960's and again were threadbare, old and not very appealing. The hot water ran out during the day and when we called the agent it was a case of well you will have to wait for it to warm up again. The electric gate broke and we had to fix it and the agent just said 'sorry for the inconvenience' not I will come out and check on it. Only 2 house keys were provided and when you've got people coming in at different times through the days and at night made this a nightmare to co ordinate. Not enough crockery/glasses etc for the amount of people. When people say well you pay for what you got, this isn't the case here, we did pay but we did not get! Spending a few hundred euros on linen and towels would be really beneficial to this villa...One piece of advice take your own bath towels.....Would I recommend, not to people I know.

You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.

Please note that bedrooms in holiday rentals are usually not that large; you should refer to the floor plan to get a sense of size.
