Lying at the east end of Mazarron Bay La Azohia sandy beaches are gently shelving with shallow, warm waters. A lovely palm-lined promenade stretches two miles, passing a number of bars and restaurants, ensuring a memorable evening stroll along the sea front, as the sun sets across the bay. The area is very quiet and retains a very Spanish flavour but livens up in the summer months when a number of additional beach bars are erected. During these months lifeguards are in attendance. Beyond the tower of Saint Elena the deep waters on the cliffs of Cabo Tiñoso provide excellent diving. It is still possible to see local line caught tuna being landed at local quay side.
Just 10 minutes drive away Puerto de Mazarron has a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants, and a large sandy beach with children’s play areas. The Sunday market here is a must particularly for its local fruit and veg.
Twenty minutes drive away over the mountains is the Historic naval town of Cartagena.
Walks and treks of all grades are available both locally and in the nearby Sierra Espuna less than an hour’s drive away. (2 sets of trekking poles, large scale maps and walking guide notes are proved for guests use) Sierra Espuna is a beautiful national park which provides walking on good well marked tracks particularly in the summer months as it has a cooler climate than on the coast. There are a number of restaurants and bars and numerous barbeque areas here also to enjoy.
There are 4 dive schools in the immediate vicinity and the diving is reputed to be the 5th best in the world.
A round of golf can be had within a 30-minute drive at the 9 hole Campasol course. Also La Manga area, less than an hour’s drive away, offers a number of top quality courses.
There is a charge for cleaning and laundry at the end of the stay of £30 per booking.
Excellent living at a quiet and beautiful place, very well equipped (but lacking dishwasher and vacuum cleaner). We, two couples 70+, had a really good time there.

We really enjoyed our holiday in La Azohia and it was great to find a Spanish resort which was not overdeveloped. The apartment was well-equipped and very clean. It was a bonus to have 2 en suite shower rooms for our party of 4.
We loved the roof terrace with its wonderful views and had many evening meals there watching the sun go down. We hired a car as we wanted to see the local area but you could manage without if you dont mind the 15 mins walk to the local mini supermarket which stocks all the basics.
The beach ( a 5-10 mins walk) was clean and safe, ideal for children with a gentle slope into the sea.It was busy at weekends with Spanish family gatherings!
The pool was always immaculately clean and not busy we were often the only people using it.
If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday, this is ideal (not for those looking for night life). We have already recommended it to family and friends and hope to return in future.

Weve had a fantastic holiday. Every morning we have woken up to glorious blue skys and very warm temperatures! 32 degrees most days. Weve eaten out at Antipodes which was amazing. The food and setting was magnificent. We made the most of the bread man who came round in his van every morning and bought our rolls ready for our picnic on the beach -which we did most days.
We had barbecues on the roof terrace and enjoyed the views at night, making the most of the warm summer evenings. The children have enjoyed the snorkelling in the sea and were very great full for the use of the beach equipment. We have added a couple of toys and a parasol to your collection. Many thanks again
