This great one bedroom apartment is located in the Cala Azul residential complex in La Cala de Mijas. The Mediterranean, shared complex has extensive gardens with palm trees, a large pool, a baby pool and a children's playground.The spacious apartment is on the 3rd floor and has WiFi. In the practical and appealing dining and living area there is a large corner sofa bed where two people can sleep, a flexibly placed coffee table on castors, a TV, a CD player, a dining group with four chairs and air conditioning. The bright, well-equipped kitchen is separate. From the living area you reach the large terrace with comfortable garden dining area, deck chairs, an additional, comfortable seating and umbrellas. Here you can relax, dine and chat together and enjoy the fantastic view of the garden and pool area as well as the Mediterranean Sea. The bedroom is equipped with a grand lit and a fan for the warm months, the bathroom with a large shower cubicle. There is also a cot and high chair available.Between the residential complex Cala Azul and La Cala de Mijas runs the toll-free motorway “Autovía del Mediterráneo” (A7), which runs along the entire Spanish Mediterranean coast. You can walk over several pedestrian bridges in about 10 minutes to the beautiful sandy beaches, and in just 15 minutes to the main square with the old watchtower.La Cala de Mijas is located east of Marbella and west of Fuengirola on the coast of the Costa del Sol and is a little gem. The place captivates with a wonderful, almost village atmosphere. From the central main road that runs towards the sea, various narrow streets branch off, where you will discover many shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. La Cala is very popular with locals and tourists during the day and there is a lot of activity when the daily errands are taken care of or when you go to the beach to have lunch in one of the sea-view restaurants. The main square directly on the Mediterranean Sea is dominated by the watchtower “El Torreón” from the 16th century. All important city festivals and summer activities take place here. There is a large children's playground not far from here, also directly on the beach. The coast of La Cala consists of long, clean sandy beaches where you can walk west to Riviera del Sol on a wooden boardwalk, and east to the more rugged areas where you can watch the many kitesurfers with their colorful Wind sailing fill the sky. Inland there are several first-class golf clubs, so that not only joggers, cyclists and riders in the area can spend the day in beautiful nature.
This solidly constructed modern apartment was recently built in 2008. The agent has rated it as a four star property so it is a well-equipped apartment with above average furnishings. It is also great value for money. This apartment has use of a shared pool and sea view; it is also located in Jardin Botánico, only 7km from Fuengirola. The nearest airport is only 33km away. It is set in a very convenient location, just 400 metres away from a sandy beach. There's also a restaurant only 250 metres away.

When do I receive directions to the apartment and key collection information?
Directions and details on how to collect the keys will be emailed to you after you have paid for the booking in full. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager’s office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.
Bed sizes / bedrooms
The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:
- A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
- A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.
A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.
Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.
If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.
