Extensive 200 year old Canarian finca, totally renovated, with private heated swimming pool and hot tub. Private, rural village location just 10 minutes drive from the main resorts & golf courses.
Welcome to our extensive 200 yr old restored Canarian Finca situated in the original Canarian area of Guime.The house has been sympathetically restored whilst maintaining many of its original rustic features.The entrance to the front door is enhanced by a huge pink bougainvillea tree .Through the double front doors leading to the dininghall with vaulted ceiling & a stone archway opens into a spacious lounge with feature lava stone inglenook fireplace.It is furnished with large luxurious sofas which seat six comfortably.It has internet TV ,video &CD player (WiFi connection) also a wide selection of books & games.
The fully fitted kitchen has gas hob & fitted electric double oven,dishwasher,large fridge freezer,coffee maker,microwave & toaster.There is a sea view from the kitchen window.Utility room has washingmachine,iron & ironing board.Between the kitchen & utility room there is a breakfast room with round table & 4 chairs.
The garden room situated between the dining hall & the three bedrooms has a fridge,built in bar with black marble top,Wall safe & built in canarian seating.This room is ideal for escaping the heat of the day.It has french doors opening onto the terraces,gardens & pool area.The large covered terrace overlooking the 8x4 m heated salt water pool.There is a large rustic dining table & 6 chairs,rattan suite consisting of 3 seater sofa & 2 armchairs,sunloungers & beach towels.The smaller terrace has built-in BBQ with further seating.The pool,terraces & gardens are enclosed by high walls making them completely private.There is also a jacuzzi adjacent to the pool.The property commands views to the mountains.There is a small tapas bar within 100 meters walking distance of the villa(turn left out of the villa it's on the right hand side open from 9am onwards,close Mondays)
There are three bedrooms situated at the far end of the house, one king,one double,one twin,0ne shower room .The master bedroom has king size canarian bed with luxurious bedlinen.The en suite shower room adjacent to this bedroom has his n her marble basins,mosaic shower (the original bread oven)Bedroom two with double canarian bed overlooking the pool. .Bedroom three has twin beds.All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes & hair dryers.The village has a small but well stocked supermarket providing fresh bread/meat & produce daily.

As a family of 4 the villa and setting was perfect for quiet break. It's excellently appointed, with plenty of character. The heated pool and hot tub were a real bonus. Anthea and John are very friendly and look after the place and their visitors well. When we come back to the lsland, we would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely fantastic villa and facilities - pictures don't do it justice. John and Anthea are great hosts. Not much going on in Guime itself - a grocery store and bodega - but only 10 minutes to the nearest resort beaches and shops by car. Villa is a great base to explore the island, and large enough to just veg by the pool without getting on top of each other. We travelled with teenagers (15 & 17) who were happy enough during the day, but probably needed to get out and stretch their legs a bit in the evening. Would definitely recommend if you're planning a trip to Lanzarote.
The villa was excellent and offered all that we needed. It was clean and well presented. Towels were changed half way through the week. The pool and hot tub were clean, warm and inviting even in November. The kitchen provided all that we needed. The beds are clean and comfortable. Lots of showers and toilets, so that there was no waiting for a shower room to get a shower. The lounge is comfortable with access to British television, so that the children did not miss their programmes. There is an excellent shop nearby and supermarkets 4 km away. A car is worth having as the tourist areas are more than an easy walk away. The owners were friendly and helpful. This is well worth visiting and we are considering going to this villa again.
This is a great property excellently situated for getting to all parts of the Island and close to the beach.
The pictures do not do it justice and I would recomend this property to anyone, its great!
We had a fantastic holiday at Finca Bougainvilla. It is an excellent house, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped ~ a real home from home. It was great to relax in the lovely garden and enjoy a swim in the heated pool. It is easy to get to from the airport and a good location for seeing all the sights in Lanzarote. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would have no hesitaion in recommending this villa to those who enjoy peace and quiet in lovely surroundings. We both hope to return soon.
