We had a wonderful time in La Cueva in Guájar Faragüit. The boys loved the pool /jacuzzi in the cave, we relaxed on the terrasse and took small promenades in this beautiful town in the Andalusian mountains. I dream of staying at La Cueva again.

Our stay at Cortijo Opazo was absolutely first class in every respect and probably the best apartment of its type we have rented in 40 years of travel. Robert and William are great hosts, Roberts detailed walks information was first class and as clear as a bell, Williams dinners were excellent. The apartment is comfortable very clean and warm with great views in a spectacular setting for walks and local visits. Our weather was brilliant sunshine on first day for walks, but our walk in the mountains the next day resulted in a complete soaking in some of the worst rain we have ever been out in, but on our return a large basket of logs had been left for us to light the wood burning stove and dry and thaw out, thats the type of wonderful service Robert and William provide. We hope to return for more! Malcolm Hammond

We have just come home after a lovely holiday at Excellent Views. That name is very true. It is in a delightful position looking out over the mountains and also to the coast. Sunrise over the sea was beautiful. The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped and had a good barbecue patio. The surrounding beaches were easy to reach by car, possible by foot for the fit (we did walk there and back one day); the sea was very clear for swimmers; bars and restaurants fed us well with a good choice on the menus, both by the beaches and in town; the town was attractive with some interesting historical sites. A long, level promenade beside the beaches gave a pleasant walk. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at this house.

The house was value for money though in need of major updates as quite literally falling apart. The location amongst the olive groves is perfect and tranquil and just a short drive from Montefrio itself or a 20mins drive to Alcala la Real where there are lots more shops and things to do. The pool makes the house, especially to cool down in the heat. The host was very attentive and couldn't do more for us, a lovely man who really tried.

This place is unbelievably good. I came for a week in March with my 6 month old baby and had a blissful time. Morning feeds on the terrace looking out over the mountains were really memorable. In late March everything is a luscious green and covered in blossom. There's everything you need in the cottage and the woodburner is easy to use and cosy at night. I had wondered if it might feel a bit scary being alone there at night as it's a fair way out of the village, but there are 3 other houses within 100 metres so it's not scary at all. It's the best of both worlds, because although there are neighbours it still feels really private and remote due to the way the houses are positioned. Ginny was a lovely host, providing a cot and high chair for the baby and not complaining when I turned up several hours late (bear in mind that Clickstay's suggested route from Malaga, where you come off the motorway at Motril and drive along the mountain roads, is absolutely beautiful but takes a long time as the roads are very windy). Walking down the hill to collect fizzy spring water from the spring was a highlight. I'll definitely be coming back here if I can.

Ginny and Terry were the perfect hosts.Availble very quicly when needed, friendly and helpful leaving you undisturbed if that is what you prefer. A beautiful peaceful location with only a 20 min stroll into the village if you wish to eat out or need basic supplies. The Finca was laid out perfectly for a couple with all that you would need for a relaxing holiday with stunning mountain views that we never tired of taking in. One of our best self catering holidays and will definitely be back in the future.
