Fantastic well situated second floor,one bedroom apartment in Aguamarina, Golf del Sur with large balcony overlooking the sea. Exceptional views of the marina and pool area.
This very comfortable 1 bedroom Apartment has one of the best positions in the whole area. With a large balcony that has stunning views over the pool and the Atlantic ocean, this is an apartment many people visit time and time again.
With sea views from every room in the apartment and a balcony that literally sits over the Atlantic, you will be lulled to sleep by the gentle sounds of waves lapping against the shore!
The kitchen is fully equipped with a full size oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is a breakfast bar separating the kitchen from the lounge. The lounge consists a double sofa bed (that folds into two single beds), a radio/cassette/cd player, A DVD Player and Satellite television with BBC1, BBC2, C4 and ITV. There are patio doors leading to the large balcony.
The apartment has it's own Wi-Fi internet access.
The bedroom consists of twin beds, fitted wardrobes and a chest of drawers. It also has patio doors leading to the balcony. The fully tiled bathroom is extremely fresh and clean.
A washing machine is provided in the apartment.
The complex has lifts and is wheelchair friendly. The apartment also have it's own underground parking space.
The Aguamarina Complex is very safe and secure as the main doors to reception are kept locked. It is very well maintained and each floor is cleaned every day.
The complex is extremely well situated for all local amenities. Opposite is a well stocked supermarket and an Irish Bar that shows all the major Sporting events by day and has some good quality live acts in the evening. At the front of the complex, there is a picturesque sea front promenade with some typically Spanish restaurants and bars.
Within 500 yards there is a good quality gym, sauna, jacuzzi and beauty salon.
The main resort centre area is a very pretty 10-15 minutes walk along the sea front. Here you will find a selection of shops, a supermarket, bars and restaurants.

Property was nice and comfortable and as described in advert with a nice sea and harbour view. In our view the only thing that let it down was the non existing greeting system and the poor key collection system. As regular independent travellers we coped but I can imagine the stress the key collection system would cause to inexperienced people..
All facilities you needed great location
And quite nice balcony looking over the sea and marina would recommend to anyone to stay in the apartment great holiday
My young son and I stayed here for one week. If you're looking for four star luxury, it's not for you. If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful which is homely enough then you've got the right place.
I loved waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to see the sea even from my bed - in fact, I still miss it. We loved being able to sit out for meals on the balcony and the fact that I could see my son in the pool from the balcony was a bonus.
Yes, there was a little noise with workmen doing maintenance around the pool, but that's a good thing, keeping everywhere nice, right?
It was very convenient for the airport, but so much that aircraft noise bothered us. There's a small, limited shop opposite for basics, but like any convenience store, much cheaper at the supermarkets, but if you hadn't hired a car . . . it's useful.
The only real negative was that we were there in May and could have done with air conditioning (we took the duvets out of the covers and just had the covers on us). I wouldn't want to stay in the summer. Even though we had ceiling fans on constantly, it was still too warm and because you've got two sets of sliding patio doors, there are no windows to leave open at night.
Just had two weeks here and overall it was very good. The advert says it is south facing, thankfully it is actually west facing getting the sun late afternoon and early evening on the balcony. The welcome pack was missing coffee which as non tea drinkers was a little disappointing. The location is excellent and there are several restaurants with in easy walking distance (100yds). Another bonus was the underground parking, it would have been helpful if this and other operating instructions/rules for the apartments was available in the apartment. Pool facilities were good although work was on going for the children's pool, this concluded (just finishing touches to be done) whilst we were there. Some owners/residents got upset with some children playing in the pool due to confusions around rules etc. I would recommend the apartment and area for a quiet and relaxing holiday, very good.
• Excellent pick up by Lynn from the airport. We were in the apartment within an hour of landing. Excellent service for our return journey too.
• Location of the apartment. Good view from the balcony. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a good bus service just a short walk away. Coastal pathway below the apartment for good walks along the coast with very good views.
• The complex is kept immaculately clean in the corridors by a professional cleaning service.
• Building security. Good locks on the apartment door too.
• Safe in the wardrobe (although the electronic lock is broken there is a key to make it work).
• Free Wi-Fi and UK TV channels.
• The apartment looks very tired and is in need of a deep clean particularly in the bathroom and kitchen. The oven was filthy and we didn’t use it because of that. It was very dirty behind the bidet and toilet. The bath enamel was chipped. The tap and shower control in the bath were badly scaled and had to be exercised using considerable force to allow the changeover from the tap to the shower head. The plugs in the bath and basin need replacing. Amazingly no toilet roll holder. In addition a number of light bulbs weren’t working in the hall and bathroom.
• Noise! The pool was being renovated with long periods of drilling with road drills on many days. We also had several days of noise from the next door apartment being renovated. On the first three days the noise from their bathroom seeming to be removed was unbearable. With hammering, banging and drilling we were forced to get ready early and go out to avoid the noise. Not an ideal start to our holiday.
• In the only wardrobe the space was reduced with several items including the vacuum cleaner, ironing board and iron, some boxes and bedding items. The adjacent cupboards were locked so could not be used.
• The iron provided was unusable because the base had been badly burnt. Fortunately we took our own travel iron.
• Limited cleaning materials and toilet rolls so we had to provide our own.
• The inventory of some kitchen items needs to be reviewed. Only 3 mismatched wine glasses for instance. Any crockery used needed to be washed first.
Our overall view is that the apartment did not live up to our expectations perceived from the photographs and its description. On that basis we will not be returning to this particular apartment for any future holidays. We will look for alternatives in the area because it is a great location for a holiday.
