Villa overview - owner's description

Beautiful Modern Spacious 4 bedroom villa with private heated swimming pool, WiFi, Roof Terrace with private Gym & great views to Lobos Island and the famous Sand Dunes of Corralejo.

Villa Zeus, part of the exclusive Casas Ducales developement, and built by the same builders as the award winning Bahia Real 5 star Hotel, exhibiting all the quality features to be expected of a villa of this stature.

The villa has marble work throughout including two marble bathrooms (one with Jacuzzi bath), a large fully fitted and well equipped kitchen and a heated 30 cubic metre pool. With two large sun terraces, Villa Zeus presents a spacious, private and multi-aspect position, making it an ideal retreat for sun, shade and wind shelter at all times of the day.

The 3 spacious double bedrooms with patio doors to the pool area all have ample fitted cupboard/wardrobe space.
There is a fourth bedroom with 2 single beds.

The large 7 x 4 metre lounge benefits from a 40” flat screen TV with English & German TV channels two large sumptuous settees and dining facilities for up to eight. The lounge is of a traditional Canarian wooden, high ceiling construction which keeps the building cool in the summer without the need for air conditioning.

The separate roof terrace (accessed by an outside stairway) boasts a private Gym and some amazing views of Lanzarote and la Isla de Lobos

Family from Northants, United Kingdom May 2016

I would recommend this villa to anyone with a large family, it is amazing, spotlessly clean with all the facilities you could require, the picture shown is exactly what you get, there is plenty of room so you don't get under each others feet, I have just got back after taking my family , there were nine of us that stayed, 7 adults and 2 small grandchildren and we didn't feel overcrowded.
The views from the roof terrace are great as it is much higher than the rest of the street so you can see for miles.
It takes about 20/30 minutes to walk steadily with children down to the main strip and we got taxi's back for only 3.60 euro's. The area is very quiet so when you have had enough of the noisy strip you can go back to relax and chill out by the pool in peace.
The only criticisms I had were: although the en-suite bathroom is magnificent the toilet area is visible from the outside pool area in the daytime as it has glass partitions and the curtains in the main bedroom were not that easy to work, it would be better if there were blinds that you can just close when the bathroom is required although there is a second bathroom to use. My second criticism was that the taxi driver could not find the villa when it was pick-up time as there is no number on the villa outside wall and she was 20 minutes late looking for us.

We had a fantastic stay at the villa, this is the first review that Ive felt compelled to submit and this is down to the fact the villa was exactly as advertised, it was a great size, was very clean and had full amenities, with the best pool weve had the pleasure of using on a villa holiday. If we come back to this island and this resort we would definitely look to stay here again. Regina was very helpful and came to check we were ok and settled early on. Highly recommended.

Couple from Hamburg, Germany Sep 2013

Both house and area were absolutely great for a relaxed time. We spent a lot of time by and in the pool, which is very generously sized and regularly cleaned. The house has all the amenities one could ask for, we almost felt at home. Thanks to Regina, the property’s contact person, everything worked like a charm. We will certainly come back!

.This is a lovely property it has everything you need to make it a relaxing enjoyable holiday villa. The property itself is well equipped, lovely pool and seating area in the sun. The area itself is very peaceful, a mix of local and holiday villas within a 15 minute walk of the town near the baku water park. An interesting point in this house is its modern design, the L shape is nicely laid out with interesting, varied designs in each bedroom and an even more interesting en-suite bathroom (all glass doors and very long) with one of the best Jacuzzis we have ever used, the rainforest shower head is also very powerful. The second bathroom a little more conservative had a standard bath and shower (equally powerful with ample hot water). The house and contents are well thought out as there is a large selec tion of outside crockery (plastic) and inside crockery. Even though we didn’t cook much there seemed to be an impressive array of equipment. This house even has its own games room! One of the most welcoming things on the first night was the welcome pack in the fridge, the only negative (if I can call it that) is the lack of a small table or two around the pool, however on saying that there was a table and chairs outside the villa. All of the management team at the villa from booking stage (Regina) and Cathy and the rest of the team were very helpful and attentive. Would we return? Definitely as the villa has a lot to offer and is ideal for small and larger groups. On a final note the wi-fi access is very strong, there is also a wide selec tion of sky tv channels but if you want RTE, ITV, BBC, etc bring your own sky card (you might still want a little bit of home!!)

From London, United Kingdom Dec 2011

Villa was very nice, and well big enough for family with 4 children. We stayed there with a family of 10, 8, 6 and 0 year old children.
L shape house was easy as you had good view to pool from many rooms. Master bedroom has a baby cot. Pool was well used by our children.

The location was not the best possible, but with some walking not too far from the Corralejo town (20 minute walk to center). Taxis are not also pricey, so you could get back from town to less than 5£.

Regina is very helpful. She borrowed us baby push chair and other equipment. She also responds to questions quickly.

We enjoyed our Christmas stay on the villa. Corralejo is peaceful and beautiful place. The nearby mountain is a nice hike, and we went to top of it with our children twice. Also the baku waterpark is nearby, but it was closed on off-season. The nearby minigolf was open and friendly place.

We were the first renters of the villa, so the below small gripes could be nice to have fixed to really make the villa to stand out.
- It was quite dusty (e.g. under sofas, or shelfs) even all the visible space was clean, but if you looked below sofa pillows or other hidden places, there was dust everywhere.
- Most of thet towels and bed sheets were quite old and worn out.
- Coffee maker did not work
- Internet, even if advertised, was not available
- Dishes for 8 were not available (tea cups were 3 different kinds, 8 differnt kinds of drinking glasses, and max 5 of each kind, only one proper cutting knife, frying pan was very worn out and old, no tools for non-stick frying pan, not enough plates for eight, lots of deep plates, but not enough shallow plates)
- Smaller bathroom toilet does not flush properly
- Laundry dryer works, but takes 3 hours to get clothes dry, probably too old?
- Barbeque. Can you even call it that? Full of rust, and I dare you to use it
- Lots of small equipment of the owner in the drawers and cupboards, so makes it feel like you are in somebody elses house
- Fuses are braking constantly if you try to use stove at the same time with water boiler, over, drier or pretty much anything.
- It was impossible to use Jacuzzi as there was not enough warm water to fill it up, or if the jacuzzi had a heater, the instructions were not available and it was too hard to use.
- Lots of small ants in the kitchen and in the toilts. Keep your candies on the fridge!

Despite all the short comings we could rent the villa again as the vacation was a positive experience to us all.

Reply from Regina

With reference to the negative review for the Christmas week booking, please find a reply to the relevant points1) The jacuzzibath needed switching on by pushing the red on off button followed bythe required jet or bubble button. The bath needs to be filled abovethe jets before it will work. The second hot water tank (giving a totalof 120 litres)may not have been switched on in the cupboard.. not toodifficult a problem to solve. Instructions for all these proceedureshave been left for future guests.2) The tumble drier filter was blocked. Our fault as we never use itand hadn't checked it recently. It has now been unblocked and is workingfine.3) We have bought a new coffee cafetierre and a new large stonebarbeque4) The electricity capacity has now been increased by a further 15 ampsto eliminate any overloading.5) Wi fi has now been installed.6) Ants are only a problem if the kitchen is left dirty and the floorunswept ie food debris lying around7) Most of the above could have been solved very quickly with a call toRegina.

From Surrey

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our time in Villa Zeus. The villa was beautifully decorated and furnished and Chris and Regina were very helpful. We rented a car and this was useful to drive to Corralejo town and the supermarket, both were 5 mins drive away. I would probably say to walk would take 20 to 30 mins depending on speed.

We would recommend the villa and look forward to visiting again.
