The Villa has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed, the other with twin beds. Bathrooms with bath/shower, wc & bidet. Fully fitted kitchens with oven, hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave & toaster. Lounges have sofabeds, TV, DVD, SKY, coffee table, table & chairs, understairs cupboard with beach chairs, toys & safe. Bed linen, bath towels & beach towels are all included. Also there are 2 adult pools and a childs pool. Its close to many amenities and is only a 5 minute walk away from a stunning 3 mile long sandy beach.
We also provide you with a welcome pack including wine, beer, water, bread, tea, coffee, sugar, butter either breakfast or lunch depending on your flight, so as soon as you arrive you can relax.
Unlike the main tourist area of Mojacar, Garrucha gives you the real feel of the Andalusian way of life. Garrucha has a working fishing fleet & port, where fishing boats go out daily and the local restaurents still buy their fish. You feel that you are in Spain mixing with the locals, tasting fresh fish tapas along the port, shopping with the locals in the huge weekly markets, eating in traditional Spanish restaurants. This is an area where you will still get to practise your Spanish. However, should you wish to be amongst a more English crowd, Mojacar beach is just 5 mins drive away, so you have the best of both worlds. The hustle and bustle when you want it and the escape to the peace and quiet when you dont. There are many restaurants of every nationality thinkable, bars, snooker bar, live music restaurants. To work off some of that food, water sports facilities, paragliding, aquapark, karting, scuba diving, and tennis are all available in this lovely area. Mojacar Pueblo is a quaint Moorish village, with cobbled streets and white washed houses with spectacular views, this is about 15 mins drive away. About a 5 minute drive from the apartment is the Aquapark, brilliant for children of any age. For the cowboy buffs and about a 45 minute drive away is the Mini Hollywood Theme Park, a wild west town with live shows, cowboy museum, restaurants and a zoo with an array of animals. This is where A Fistful of Dollars was filmed along with other famous westerns. Close by at Vera Town is the Vera Bull Ring, this is a historical bull fighting ring, you can have a guided tour by an ex-matador, who revels in his description of this event. There are still bull fights held here today. Around 2 hours away after a picturesque ride, is the city of Granada where you can marvel at the world famous Alhambra Palace, and enjoy the Moorish city itself. The shopping here is fabulous especially if you like shoes! Skiing on the Sierra Nevada slopes is here too.
Garrucha now has several top quality golf courses nearby. Valle del Este, an 18-hole PGA golf course, has been carefully designed along the lines of the courses in the American desert of Arizona and California paying careful attention to every detail and integrating the course into the surrounding landscape to combine holes that represent a real challenge to the player. Undoubtedly this has been designed to play host to Championship events. The views are stunning but don’t let them affect your concentration as very few wayward shots are forgiven. It has its own beach club, restaurant, bar and pool, which is situated directly on the unspoilt Vera Beach. Desert Springs, the PGA overseas home, designed by successful Walker Cup captain, Peter McEvoy, is the only desert course in Europe, located between Villaricos and Cuaves de Almanzora. One is either on lush fairway or chipping back into position from the rugged desert terrain. Popular Marina Golf is 5 mins drive away.
Great location, central with easy access by local buses to surrounding villages. Meet by owners family, who showed us around appartment, very helpful and good source of information.
Relaxing time and would definately consider visting again.

We were met by the owners family who let us into the property. The welcome pack was ideal as we arrived at 9pm, hungry and were able to make a light meal and have a drink.
I stayed here with three friends and the property was fab!! It was more than I imagined. Lovely downstairs, rooms were clean and homely, and the sun terrace was perfect.
It was ideal location as it was close to the beach and the waterpark, so there was plently to do. Garrucha up the road had lovely restaurants and there were some at the beach aswell.
It was really good value for money and it was perfect for what we were after. I would definitely recommend this to friends for a chilled out holiday. John was really helpful as well and advised us on places to eat and whatevere queries we had.
Thoroughly enjoyable :)
Easy to follow the directions from airport. Plenty of information was available for gaining access to the property, using equipment in the property and contact numbers for if we had any problems. The welcome pack on arrival was excellent and contained everything that we needed initially. The property was clean, comfortable, well equipped and situated in a well maintained and quiet part of the complex.
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday and would definitely consider booking again in the future.

This is a great property in a real good location. The villa is built in townhouse style and is located in a mature residential development on the outskirts of Garrucha - Garrucha town centre is a 5 minute drive/20 minute uphill walk away. There are two good chinese restuarants within 5 minutes walk, five cash ATMs within 5 mins walk and a range of pubs/ restuarants within 10 minutes walk. Playa Vera with its miles of sandy beach is a 10 minute walk. Mojocar and Villa Rico with their superb beaches are no more than a 10 to 15 minutes drive away as well. There are also 3 significant supermarkets within a 10 minute drive from the Villa in addition to a number of smaller supermarket shops close by (open in high season). I have just returned from spending Easter week at the villa and had one of the most relaxing holidays in recent years which is saying something given I have two teenagers and a 6 year old! We flew into Murcia ( a 90 minute drive straight down the AP7 for a 12 Euro toll fee). Highly recommend this property not just in terms of what it is and where it is but also for the owner who made sure our stay was comfortable. Will definitely be back should the opportunity to go back down to Almeria come up again.mccoye7 Belfast Review Submitted: April 12, 2010 Date of Stay: March 2010
A very clean house with all the facilites you would require for 2 weeks. The welcome pack was a nice touch and John and Sandra were very helpful. We had two young children with us and they enjoyed the holiday as much as we did. The pools were very clean but not being able to eat round them was very dissapointing, the children only wanted to eat fruit or crisps but were not aloud. Garrucha is a lovley place and very Spanish which we loved. All amenties were close by including several little supermarkets, which was very useful and the beach. All the bars and resturants that we tried and there were a few were all very good. Thanks for a lovely holiday. The house was more than adequate for up to six people. It had all the facilities you needed for your stay. It is within easy walking distance of the local beach, and many more secluded ones are a short car ride away. The town of Garrucha is within walking distance and has a very Spanish feel to all its bars and restuarants. If you are trying to polish up on your Spanish this is the ideal place to visit. For those who prefer more lively nightlife, and an area more geared up for tourists, the town of Mojacar is again a short car ride away. To help make your arrival easier, the owners provide a lovely welcome pack, and are always close by to give advice or assistance. John from SouthamptonDate of Stay: July 2008
10/10 we will be booking next year
Lovely villa, clean and very modern, close to the most beautiful beach. We had a great time THANK YOU
The Fuentemar complex has 2 pools, one large and a smaller one for children. The villa is in quiet area of the complex with a south facing patio which overlooks a dry ramblas (riverbed). There is always loads of birdlife to watch and there are stunning mountain views in the distance. The roof terrace is ideal for sunbathing, bbqs or a perfect place to just sitback and relax with a glass of sangria.

About the owner
We are a family which own two holiday properties on the Fuentemar complex in Garrucha, Andalusia. Whilst I live in the UK with my wife and children my parents live in Spain on the same complex as the rental houses, they do all the meet and greets and also put a lot of effort into looking after and cleaning the houses making them feel like a home from home. We take great pride in ensuring that all our guests have a great holiday with us.
