Located in El Bosque de la Mairena, Marbella East, with fantastic views down the valley to the Mediterranean, offering total tranquillity in a small village. The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen with adjacent utility room, a large dining room extended with the living room, spacious terrace room with glass curtains with direct access to private and community gardens.There is one double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with views out to the garden and forest.The sencond bedroom has twin beds and has a seperate shower room.There is also the terrace room with a large double sofa bed. The property has been finished to a very high standard, including marble floors, A/C, WIFI internet, double glazing, shutters and a car parking space. It is an ideal holiday apartment for those who love the nature and the tranquillity.
Elviria has long been a popular holiday resort and is home to the five-star Don Carlos Hotel and the famous Nikki Beach Club. The internationally renowned Santa Maria Golf & Country Club is also located here; a challenging 18 hole golf course.

The village itself has a genuine heart, complete with town hall, post office, schools, bars, restaurants and shopping facilities.

Elviria is home to many superior quality developments and urbanisations, most of which offer an elevated position overlooking the sea. It’s a well suited location for families and has become increasingly popular for second homes for many foreign visitors.

Located on the coast around 10km east of Marbella and a 45 minute journey from Malaga’s International airport.

We spent a lot of time researching this villa, and thinking it wasnt in the mountains we decided to book. Firstly we found the directions to the Villa hard to follow and it was hard to find even for a Spanish taxi driver. We ended up driving for nearly 2 hours in the dark with young children which wasnt fun. As this is in the mountains, it isnt very well known. Even the local british people we met up on the resort told us how hard it is to find as it is a relatively new development. On arrival Christy let us in and gave us an invoice for €35 for late arrival. Despite me emailing several times clearly stating our late arrival at no point did anyone from the booking company mention anything of late charges.

Throughout our stay on multiple occasions we were unable to exit or enter the property as the gates were faulty. John (who we were given his details for) was away for a few days and then eventually on our last day the gates had to be left open as they still weren't working. Very frustrating and our plans had to change as we couldn't leave!! We were completely frustrated at having to keep contacting Christy to attempt to let us out and in. We appreciate being somewhere safe but actually it wasnt pleasant being locked in or out.

The TV was very intermittent and usually in the evening was not watchable as it kept stalling. It runs off the Wifi apparently and i guess everyone watching TV in the evening. Most nights we gave up with it.
On the internet the location of the villa is very misleading. I have taken snap shots of the locator and it is not correct. The distance states 3km to the beach which it is not. I have taken screen shots of these details as had we known actually where this villa was, we would not have rented it. It is up a VERY windy and hair pin bendy road up in the mountains , 20 minutes from the beach.

Lastly i sent an email to the villa company requesting a late checkout, when I contacted John, he stated that there was no chance as someone else was coming into the villa today. I don't know why the company didn't state this when I emailed. John then rang on our door at 9.55am claiming he thought we knocked on his door!! Then said "ah are you not ready?!" And lurked outside actually standing outside the building watching us until we left 10 minutes later. He then demanded his €35 for the late arrival charge, to which I Clearly stated we had not been informed of by the rental company and for all I know he is trying it on! Surely if that was the case you would have informed us by email. We have rented many properties as we are lucky enough to holiday several times a year, we have never encountered so many issues with a rental. We were almost kept prisoners there! John gives a most unfriendly impression and whilst he kept telling us it was his business and how he has his own rules, it wasn't great to experience his lack of professionalism or his thoughts on the lack of professionalism of Villas Away. Needless to say, although the Villa is beautifully decorated, and well equipped it wasnt a great week for us due to the points above. A change in management and attitude to guests would be welcome!

This apartment is in the countryside and in a quiet area near the beach and mountains. It has a shared pool, a balcony, a barbecue, a children pool area and outside lighting. Car hire is necessary as the renter will need a car to get about for shopping, eating out and the beach; however parking is available if required.
