The old town of Javea and the fishing port are within a 10 - minute drive.

Local Area - Javea
Javea is a popular resort for those who wish to enjoy a relaxing holiday away from the noise and bustle of some of the better - known Spanish holiday destinations. It is a beautiful area divided into the old town, the beach and the port, each with its own distinctive character and attractions. As Javea was developed from a small fishing port and town, the Spanish authorities made the decision of allowing only villas and low - rise apartments, which has made Javea one of the most exclusive, unspoiled and sought - areas on the Costa Blanca.

The climate is mild all year round and there are more recorded hours of sunshine per year than in any other area of Spain.

An earlier review of this property caused us a great deal of worry before our holiday. As it happens, this property was more than satisfactory. The outside area - pool, patio and shaded verandas - are by far the best part of this property although the interior is absolutely fine. As with many private hire villas, we found that a number of light bulbs needed replacing, but this wasnt too much of a problem. The hot water was fine, as was the water pressure. The bathrooms certainly need updating, but they function perfectly well. All in all, we had a great week in Javea. The area - El Tosalet - is a very nice area and it is possible to walk to the Arenal (approx half an hour) although a taxi is only around 7 euros. Only two areas need definite improvement. We had to climb over the gate to enter the property when we first arrived. Anyone with mobility problems would not have been able to get in - just as well Im pretty nimble. Finally, paying in Euros is probably not beneficial with regard to the deposit. If you paid in sterling, you could be assured that you were getting your full deposit back. As it is, you may or may not get your full money back which seems a little unfair given that the owner is based in the UK.

This villa when it was new would have been very good, however, the owner who is trying to sell it, has let things go. The hot water boiler in the kitchen doesnt work and owner made no attempt to have it fixed while we were there despite informing him by telephone at the begining of our holiday, we believe the previous occupiers had also informed him as well.Virtually all one wall of the kitchen had tiles missing, DVD broken, strong smell of excrement one of the bathrooms despite the maids best efforts. All the lights in the conecting corridor dont work and are taped over so they cant be used, making it difficult to move around the villa at night unless the lights were left on in the bathrooms and doors open and no the fuse box hadnt tripped!

Was exactly as advertised. Nice to see that what previous renters had left hadnt been completely stripped, condiments etc.. and even some beers! Superb terrace which was main selling point for us and we werent disappointed...spent most of our time there as frequent visitors to Javea so dont really sightsee! I loved the dressing room . Big Kitchen with everything you need. Best restaurants visited this time, La Boheme, Arenal and Don Antonio just down the road. One thing the Villa could do with is a visitors book, we always find them really handy for ""real time" info and what to avoid. Overall a fab villa with great ambience and we thoroughly relaxed
Owner reply:
