Apartment overview - owner's description

This is a wonderful two bedroom bungalow located in a cul-de-sac in El Faro. There is a supermarket at the end of the road open in the summer months and some restaurants and bars within walking distance which are open all year round. The property offers free WI-FI and television channels in various languages.The entrance to the house is accessed via a small garden area, as you enter there is a fully equipped kitchen to your left and straight ahead is a spacious lounge area with two sofas, a coffee table, a television, a large cabinet and an electric fire. To the rear of the lounge are a dining table and four chairs. This area lead on to a large open terrace with a brick barbecue and a table and chairs, perfect for summer´s evenings dining al fresco and enjoying the stunning views of El Faro and the sea.The property has a guest bedroom with twin beds, a bedside table and wardrobe and a master bedroom with a double bed, bedside cabinet and a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Both bedrooms enjoy a bathroom with a bath and shower within. The property offers a parking space next to the house and air conditioning hot and cold in both bedrooms and the lounge.

This solidly constructed modern apartment was built in 1972. The agent has rated it as a three star property so it is a well-kept apartment, equipped with standard furniture. It is also good value for money. The apartmentIt is located in El Faro, only 2.5km from Fuengirola. The nearest airport is only 30km away. It is set in a very convenient location, just 700 metres away from a sandy beach. There's also a restaurant only 400 metres away.

The apartment has free wireless internet. You can also park on-site at no extra charge. The apartment is well equipped: it has a refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. It also has a barbecue and some garden furniture outside.

There is a golf course nearby.

This is a 1970's property so do not expect all pristine. The air conditioning looks to be new and works very efficiently - I would suggest using "Dry" mode in the bedroom rather than "Cool" as this keeps any fan noise down when in sleep mode. The balcony is very spacious and has excellent views. A BBQ is advertised but there is no bottom container for coals so we had to buy an EAZY BBQ from one of the giant supermarkets as the smaller ones do not stock this item. Opposite the property there is a walk way down to the beach - say 10 minutes, a few more on the way back! Wi Fi excellent. The property does suffer from low water pressure so the shower is only just adequate. The TV lost its signal 3 nights before the end of our stay and whilst the Agent said they would get someone to phone me to resolve it never happened. I was out and about so was not that inconvenient but I can understand for some it would be. The sun blind stitching had perished in places so there were three large tears which I reported to the Agent as I did the kitchen hob which did not work. Value for money for me was a no at £670 (which included hiring a linen pack, cleaning charge and electricity charge approx. 180 euros) for 8 nights

You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself.
