3 bed 2 bath with great views. Close to the lovely Mar Menor & Mediterranean seas & La Manga sports/leisure complex. Superb full length roof terrace and large pool.
This delightful light and airy townhouse featuring 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is decorated and equipped to a high standard with the added attraction of a sun terrace on the roof stretching front and back of the property. Great views over the town of El Algar to the rear and the mountains and distant Mar Menor to the front.
Particular care has been paid to the quality of facilities and the comfort of guests. Downstairs has a large lounge area with very comfortable suite offering retractable footrests. Leading off the lounge is the downstairs bathroom with shower cubicle and the third twin bedded bedroom with a good size wardrobe which could be particularly beneficial if you find stairs difficult. The kitchen is well equipped with everything required for home cooking if desired. Morning breakfasts can be spent outside on the large patio area to the front of the property and evening meals ‘al fresco’.
Continuing from the kitchen is an outside yard with sink, washing machine, clothes line, tumble dryer and two bikes. A back gate leads out to the large swimming pool with a segregated shallow area for small children.
The second floor consists of the main bedroom with double bed, large built-in wardrobe, portable TV, & sliding balcony doors leading onto a terrace where you can have your early morning breakfast. Leading off from the landing there is a well equipped family bathroom/shower room and at the other end of the landing the second twin bedded bedroom with fitted wardrobes. Another terrace leads off the landing were you can sit and relax in private. Lovely for the evening sun!
Stairs from the landing take you up to the sun terrace, which stretches the full length of the house. The views are quite splendid, with mountains, the Mar Menor and the roof tops of the town of El Algar. It is equipped with a barbeque, and seating for 6, having 2 full length loungers. What better way to relax and enjoy a barbecue and evening drink.

Just a five minute walk there are bars offering a good selection of home cooked meals. A selection of local shops and a market held each Friday selling local fruit and veg and most importantly the bodega the local wine cellar.
The local beach on the shores of the Mar Menor is a 5 minute drive away. La Manga golf and leisure resort is a 10 minute drive offering 3 championship courses and a number of sporting activities together with its bars, shops and restaurants. In fact it offers most activities!
Calblanque is a national park 10 minutes drive away, with its unspoilt secluded beachs and coastal walks. The beaches are absolutely superb here.
Cabo de Palos is 10 minutes drive, a sleepy fishing village by day and one of Europe’s best known diving areas then as the evening falls becomes a mecca for the young with its bustling bars, clubs, and fish restaurants. Recommended for eating lunch or evening meals overlooking the harbour.
15/20 minutes drive Los Alcazaras , San Javier, Santiago de la Ribera all have very attractive beach fronts with their promenades, offering shops, restaurants. Further along the coast is Lo Pagan with its therapeutic mud baths said to help relieve all kinds of skin and joint ailments due to the salt and mineral content of the Mar Menor.
15 minutes drive is La Manga strip. It is a narrow strip of land separating the Mediterranean sea from the quiet waters of the Mar menor offering all the water sports you can imagine. Shops, restaurants and bars line the strip which comes alive in the early hours of the night offering an incredible selection of food and drink.
10 minutes to Cartegena, a bustling city with its attractive sea front, roman ruins, and museums. Its a great day out, especially when you start to explore the narrow ancient walkways.
Murcia is a little further away approximately 45 minutes, with its attractive centre. Well worth a visit.
If you wish to travel by local transport a bus stop 2 minutes away offers short rides to La Manga strip, Cartagena, and along the coast of the Mar Menor to Alicante. From Cartagena there are speedy train trips to a number of well known cities.
The local area is teeming with activities, being very close to the beaches, mountains, and of course, La Manga sports complex complete with golf, tennis, restaurants etc.

Calblanque nature reserve (10 minutes) offers wild rugged and untouched landscapes, It has been a national park since 1987. It has fantastic natural beaches, and has lovely walks and swimming in the Mediterranean.

We arrived to a warm welcome and a tour of the property. There were 5 adults and a baby in our party, and we kept discovering all the equipment available. Whilst we were only there 8 days for a wedding we thoroughly enjoyed the house and surroundings. It was conveniently located and quiet, not being near the developed areas, and the neighbours were helpful and friendly. We would go back again if we required a house in the area.
fantastic accommodation,spacious and very clean. pool area was very well maintained and the pool was clean, no horrible film from suncreams, so always make sure you use the showers and shower gel provided. the sunterrace was great for a warm breeze blowing to help keep you a bit cooler. everything was provided for days around the pool or if you wanted to go to the beach, parasol, sunbeds, deckchairs and the all important coolbox is there for you to use. brilliant!
Excellently equipped with everything you could ever need and more. Superb pool/garden area at the rear of the property which is extremely safe for children. The location offers a "taste of Spain" as you mingle with the locals in the supermarkets, restaurants, cafes and bars. The owners are extremely helpful providing details of the local area and places of interest. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!!!
We really enjoyed staying at this property there were lovely views from the balcony, the sunsets were amazing. The villa was lovely and spacious and so was the pool and it was very clean. It was nice to be able to walk to a taverna and everything else was a short car ride away. The area was very nice and not commercialized.
We would recommend this villa and we would like to visit again
This property is to a very high standard with everything that you needed.
The rooms are large as is the sitting room/dining room.
The owner of the property has been very helpful throughout and we can not fault them or the property at all.
