Apartment overview - owner's description
Guests at the apartment Montecala enjoy panoramic mountain views from the large private terrace. Cafe, bar and entertainment available at our spectaculor pools, Wi Fi also available at pool. A newly built commercial centre offers a variety of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. The village of Benitachell is nearby as are the resort towns of Moraira and Javea and the Javea golf course. There are two decent sized bedrooms one double with Tv, Dvd Player and I-pod Speakers, and one twin W/Cd Radio. Two Bathrooms both w/showers and toilet and sink and Spacious lounge with large leather bed settee, Cable television, DVD Player Hi Fi System., Play Station and a variety of films games and music.
An Open kitchen with fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, electric oven, kettle, toaster and Micorowave oven. There is a portable air conditioning unit and two fans.
Terrace with Patio Set parasol and 2 sun loungers. BBQ.

25m to nearest communal pool. Local beach and shops 5 minutes by car.

Further up the coast are the traditional Spanish towns of Denia, Oliva and Gandia and inland you have the picturesque mountainous interior and quaint small Spanish villages nestled amongst the citrus, oliva and almond groves associated with this area.
When driving down from the Cumbre Del Sol you see the spectacular Mount Ifach which towers over the town of Calpe landmark.
Moraira/ Cumbre Del Sol area
CUMBRE DEL SOL is situated on the most easterly point of the Iberian peninsula in an area of extraordinary beauty untouched by mass tourism,
FACILITIES ON CUMBRE DEL SOL (5 mins drive): A la Carte Restaurant with its own full-size swimming pool, banks, pharmacy, large supermarket, international telephone service, horse riding centre (with own bar), cliff/countryside walks.
SECLUDED BEACH : Playa del Moraig - a superb, picturesque cove used almost exclusively by the residents of Cumbre del Sol, and has a car park, beach bar, toilet facilities, and sunbeds/parasols for hire(in the summer) good for scuba diving
MORAIRA (10 mins drive): Formerly a small fishing village (some of the old parts still remain) which has developed in to a charming, up-market little town retaining a village atmosphere. Small, colourful streets, pavement cafes, Cafe Del Mar, a pretty marina, and a wide expanse of sandy beach in a sweeping crescent. Excellent selection of bars and restaurants, a lively shopping area, and a market on Fridays. Just 1.5kms from Moraira lies the picturesque bay of EL PORTET with a beach of fine sand. Surrounded by steep hills dotted with villas, its a real artists paradise. From El Portet you can watch the sun set behind the Penon de Ifach - a large column of rock which rises from the sea.
MOORS & CHRISTIANS FESTIVAL is held in Moraira - usually in June. This festival is also held in other nearby towns at different times over the summer, and is quite spectacular with realistic staged fights between the opposing sides, and culminating in an extravagant parade.
BENITACHELL & TEULADA (10 & 15 mins drive): If you want to get the feel of a typical small Spanish town, take a walk around both these places. The narrow streets are full of pretty houses opening directly onto the road, and the colourful market in Teulada is well worth a visit.
JAVEA (20 mins drive) is our nearest large town which has preserved all its charm, and is a fascinating mix of old and new. Large, sandy beaches, and an unspoilt old town - home to many local residents, and the backdrop for many colourful festivals, plus an abundance of shops restaurants and bars, also has a semi open air night club on the beach front, early evening it has a chilled and layed back atomosphere guest sip wine overlooking the sea.
GATA DE GORGOS is located about 8kms inland from Javea, and is a small town well known for the production of cane goods. The town has many shops which sell cane ware and souvenirs, and also has a guitar factory where you can watch Spanish guitars actually being made.
CALPE (30 mins drive): This is where the Rock of Ifach is located. There is a footpath up to the top of the rock, which is also a bird & wildlife sanctuary. Also in the town are the Las Salinas salt lakes, where flocks of pink flamingos regularly congregate. Calpe has sandy beaches and a charming fishing port that is renowned for its fresh fish restaurants.
DENIA (30 mins drive): Take the scenic route via the mountain roads of the Montgo National Park. Long sandy beaches, a castle proudly surveying the town & port, many harbour-front restaurants, and shady tree-lined avenues full of shops & pavement cafes. An interesting "old quarter" is to be found in the castle area.
Apart from the above, there are many SECLUDED BEACHES, WALKS, & SCENIC VIEWPOINTS to enjoy close by.
EATING OUT: Apart from the huge choice of restaurants in local towns & villages, there are many rural restaurants to try - some situated very close to Cumbre del Sol. They offer set menus (including wine) at ridiculously low prices. The national dish "paella" originated in this area, and wines of the region are excellent and inexpensive.

Good value for money, apartment is very good size, needs a bit of modernisation but for the price we paid it was great! Lovely view from the very large balcony to enjoy watching the sun go down in the evenings. Resort pool is amazing, kids loved the infinity pool especially, the pool was extremely clean and had lifeguards at hand keeping a close eye! You do need car hire as it is a bit out of the town but we loved the peace and quiet, great supermarket 10 minute drive at bottom of hill. Good for travel to Calpe, Benidorm and Javea.
quiet venue, near to two beautiful pools, lovely views, comfortable lounge with all facilities, we had a lovely relaxing holiday. Also, though Cumbre del Sol is a very large area, it is near to lovely resorts, beaches and restaurants. Well recommended by us, thank you.
Located in a breathtakingly stunning part of north Costa Blanca, up in the mountains, and with the double balcony views framing the valleys, this apartment is a gem of a find! With its open plan lovely interiors, comfy furniture, fully functional kitchen, washing machine, combi boiler, 2 power shower bathrooms (one with bath tub) this is a home from home. We had a terrific family time in this peaceful apartment complex and the 3 infinity pools and lovely maintained gardens were a blessing. My dealing with the owners of the apartment was extremely stress-free and pleasant. I would highly recommend a stay at Cumbre Del Sol. The local beach coves located just a 5 minutes drive away are visually stunning, the winding mountain roads are fascinating, there are plenty of shops nearby stocking all you need, Moraira beach is only about 15 minutes drive away with all its modern facilities, lovely beach front eat-outs and banks etc. We would definitely like to go back in future and in fact wanted to buy an apartment there we loved it so much! Thank you for making our holiday wonderful!

Outside this apartment in Cumbre del Sol, SpainThis apartment is in the countryside and in a quiet area near the beach and mountains. It has a shared pool, a balcony, a barbecue and outside lighting. Car hire is recommended as the apartment is less than a 15 minute walk to at least a couple of shops, bars and restaurants; however parking is not available.
