Costa Teguise is a popular tourist resort in Teguise district on the island's east coast, 15 minutes away from Lanzarote Airport. Boasting all the amenities a holiday-maker could want, this modern, purpose-built town has plenty to rival its neighbours, Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Its Blue Flag beaches, good quality restaurants and easy access to the island's main attractions make Costa Teguise a great base for a lively beach holiday in Lanzarote.
This sun-kissed resort is blessed with five main beaches, most of which lead to the seafront promenade stretching from one end of the resort to the other. Blue Flag Cucharas beach is ideal for families, boasting fine white sand, plenty of amenities and water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and scuba diving. Take a stroll from Cucharas to the north and you´ll find Los Charcos beach. Of all the beaches in Costa Teguise this is probably the most secluded. It doesn't offer any facilities, but it's the perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing day in undisturbed peace.
Popular with swimmers, the Blue Flag coastline of El Jablillo is a small horse-shoe shaped beach surrounded by volcanic rock, sheltering the area from the wind and tides. Sun-worshippers will enjoy Bastian beach with its gardens and small watchtower for the children to explore. Follow El Jablillo’s seafront promenade and after 5 minutes you’ll find this little scenic gem. Enjoy a break from the crowds at El Ancla beach, a short distance away from the heart of Costa Teguise. Although it doesn't offer much in the way of facilities, it's still a local´s favourite, located off the beaten track.
If sunbathing and swimming isn't enough, get the best thrills at Aquapark Costa Teguise, the largest water park in Lanzarote, with its many rides, slides, pools and chill out zones. Treat the kids with indoor paintball and wall climbing, or satisfy your need for speed at the go karting track! You don't need to be a diving expert to enjoy swimming with the sharks at Lanzarote Aquarium, showcasing many beautiful species of marine wildlife. Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the 18-hole golf course, nestled under an old volcano.
