We stayed for 4 days as a family. The house was very good, everything very clean and correct. It could improve small details like the furniture of the rooms or the bathroom, but in general the house exceeded expectations.

First and foremost the positive points Home very nice with city map Cleanliness just impeccable (and it is rare enough to report it) Very complete kitchen Negative; Small bed A parking space would not be a useless luxury because depending on the late hour, finding a place is not easy. I recommand it ! P. If the neighbor is too loud do not hesitate to talk to the landlord (the neighbor's husband is deaf ...) she often shouts

house is very spacious, we were there with 6 adults but there was still a lot of space. There were 4 2-person beds but also 2 1-person beds. There was plenty of cutlery and plates available as well as cooking pots. The barbecue grill may need to be replaced. You may also want to update the garden furniture and add a few extra seats. We had a top holiday. Beautiful view over Santa Susanna and the sea. Yet very quiet at altitude which may not be ideal for less mobile people. We have been to the sea many times. Even Santa Susanna station is close by for trips to Barcelona and other cities.

A beginner's guide to renting a villa in Costa del Maresme

Located in the province of Barcelona, the Maresme coast combines the best of both worlds, boasting the vibrant metropolitan atmosphere of Barcelona city with the relaxed coastal feel that beach life brings. With its 500km of fine sand, discover the tranquil waters of Baham Brisa and Blue Flag Center beach in Malgrat de Mar, as well as Callela's main beach of the same name and Mataro's palm-lined Portixol, to name just a few. This northern coastal region is particularly popular with families looking for a low-key holiday and locals who want to escape the city for some down time away from the main crowds.

The capital Calella was one of the first family-friendly resorts in Catalonia, popular year-round, known for its festivals, nightlife, nature routes and bustling street markets. For a taste of the region's culture, head to Canet de Mar, just over a 10 minute drive from Calella, with its stunning 11th century fairytale-like Castle of St. Florentina, where scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. Surrounded by forestry, it stands on Pedracastell hill, providing incredible views of the surrounding region. Or visit Mataro with its beautiful port and ruins of an ancient Roman bath house and town square. Palafolls' castle boasts amazing views of the countryside and Blanes. After a morning of sightseeing, the kids will appreciate a stop off at Marineland Catalunya with its wildlife shows, attractions and slides.

An eight minute drive from Calella, Sant Pol de Mar is home to some beautiful beaches, with the main beach located right by the local train platform. A contrast to Barcelona's lively Barceloneta beach, it has all the charms of authentic Spanish seaside life. Refresh at one of the local chiringuitos (cafes) after taking a dip in the calm waters of the Med.
