Villa overview - owner's description

This modern villa is set in a relaxing location with beautiful mountain views and a short walk to the beach.
The villa is well equipped with all the comforts from home. It has a large garden which has been beautifully planted surrounded by a volcanic wall. It has a large rectangular heated swimming pool (7x3) with Roman steps. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, fitted wardrobes and ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and fitted wardrobes. Bedroom 3 has a single bed, it also has fitted wardrobes. The lounge has patio doors opening onto the terrace where you have an alfresco dining area, seating for 6. We now have a lovely dining room with seating for 6 off the kitchen if the weather turns bad, and an extra room off this with bunk beds for 2 extra children. Also there are 6 sun loungers around the pool and a built in barbeque. The lounge is fully equipped with TV, English speaking channels, DVD, CD etc. The villa is also equiped with air conditioning, primarily for the summer months.
There are numerous restaurants overlooking the sea in Playa Blanca. A short walk along the seafront is Puerto Rubicon where you can enjoy top quality restaurants by the marina.
The kitchen is fully fitted including kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board and microwave. We are also providing our guests with beach towels saving you on luggage space. Our villa will be maintained to a high standard and should any problems arise during your stay there will be 24hr assistance provided by a reputable company. The villa is located in a small residential area with shops, bars and restaurants only a short walk away. Also for evening entertainment you can use the local hotels. We do have a strict non smoking policy inside the villa but smoking is permitted outside and ash trays are provided.

The area
Playa Blanca is the most southern resort on the island and subsequently benefits from the maximum sunshine available. Playa Blanca has an excellent selection of bars and restaurants located on the seafront and around the old harbour. There is also a pedestrianized town with many shops.
There are 3 beaches in Playa Blanca. Playa Flamingo is to the right of the harbour with a sandy beach. A small beach in the main town and Playa Dorada is the closest to our villa, just a 25 minute walk. It runs for about half a mile with soft sand and clear blue waters ideal for snorkeling. You can also hire jet skis and go on the banana boat from there. From Playa Blanca you can walk along the beautiful seafront promenade which leads you to the new International Marina Rubicon with stylish shops/bars & bowling alley. Just a 5 minute drive away are the Papagayo beaches, these are the best beaches on the island with their clear blue waters ideal for scuba diving or just soaking up the sun.
Tias is famous for its wine, producing some very good quality stuff. Costa Teguise has an 18 hole golf course set among the volcanic hills. It is also a very good place to go wind surfing as the seas there are very rough and it is the windy part of the island. Also there is a great fun- filled waterpark there too. Puerto Del Carmen to me is the nightlife capital of Lanzarote, there are loads of clubs, bars and restaurants on about a mile and a half strip. There are lots of trips to go on such as : the national park (thats a good one), a quad bike safari, a booze cruise on a big boat, Teguise market, camel riding, wine tasting, a glass bottom boat trip, you can even take a trip to Fuerteventura with your car or as a foot passenger. It only cost 45euros for 1 car and 2 persons the last time i went. We found the best tour company to use is Last Minute Travel, the reps are English speaking, they really look after you especially if you have young children and they friendly too. Playa Blanca is one of the quieter resorts on the island but there is still plenty to do if you are a night owl. In Punta Limones which is by the ferry port, is Legends Karaoke Bar, which is a small and friendly bar open till 2am 6 days a week. If you want to stay out later and have even more fun then go to Roof Tops, which is upstairs from Legends and stays open till 4am. There are a few bars which do live music now, we think the Irish Anvil Bar is the best as Gary plays his guitar there 5 nights a week. For all those sports fans there are many bars showing live matches. Popeyes is on the same level as Legends and has 20 screens and can show 4 matches at any one time. Also Mollys Bar at Dorada beach shows sky football and the rugby. Most restaurants have a see view and there are plenty to choose from. You can eat anything from Fish, Steak, Chinese, Spanish Traditional, Indian to ham, egg and chips. We recommend Larnis in the New Marina Rubicon for specialist meals, very nice.

Car Hire
Car Hire is not essential but we would recommend it as a taxi from the airport is about 40 euros to Playa Blanca and 40 euros back to the airport. Car hire from the airport works out at about 142 euros for the week which we think is value for money. You could have your keys to your car by the time your suitcases have arrived on the carousel. Then you dont have to Que for a taxi. It only takes about 25 minutes to reach our villa from the airport and it is a very easy journey. Should you hire a car we can provide you with directions. Having a car gives you much more flexibility, and there is so much to see and do, just a short journey away. The car hire company we would recommend is Autoreisen, if you search car hire in Lanzarote on your search engine they will come up. We always use them as good value, reliable and new cars. Avis & Hertz are twice the price. On the other hand if you dont want to drive we can arrange transfers to and from the villa at an extra charge.

From Ashton-under-lyne, United Kingdom Dec 2012

The property was clean and spacious and the lady who looked after the property came the day after we arrived to check everything was OK.
The description was accurate, unlike some properties where photos are taken to make the property look much larger than it actually is.
There was plenty of shade which is important, particularly in the Summer months where the temperatures are high.
The property had everything we needed and I would certainly return.

Fine complex. Very good arrangement. It is not noisy. For rest with children - a worthy place!!! Lived in June, in F704 Apartment. Good look, pure.

From Glasgow

Went to villa ripley for 1 week in July, to be honest we werent as impressed as the people in the previous reviews. There were good points about this villa but also, Im afraid to say, bad ones. First the good ones the villa was very well stocked with cooking utensils, salt sugar, pots etc which was great, also great selec tion of dvd and bb1, 2 itv ch 4 and ch 5, along with other channels. The villa has loads of outside space and a large bbq. However there was also quite a few bad points, for example the throws on the couches were in dire need of washing along with the cushions which were not clean in my opinion. I ended up taking them off and using the pillows from the bed. In general we felt the villa was in dire need of a good clean and even a bit of updating. Also the villa is not what i would regard as private, yes from either side it is well covered, but looking straight ahead from the patio there is a lower wall to which you can see the next door neighbours front door(picture added), so every time someone is walking past they can see right into the villa area (ie patio and pool). I also do not agree that the centre of playa blanca or the marina rubicon is within walking distance nor would i say the area is well lit. We did have a car but it would have taken at least 30mins in the heat to walk. Luckily enough a taxi only costs around 3-4 euros. We didnt see any villa manager the whole week we were there, in fact when we arrived we couldnt find the villa so i phoned the emergancy number provided (around 10.15pm) and it was a recorded message saying something in spanish which i could not understand so was completely useless. This villa was booked for a special occasion and yes we had a great holiday but i would not go back to this villa.

Firstly we would like to say that we are dissapointed to hear that Martin and his partner did not find the villa met their expectations. We try our best to make the villa a home from home and according to the many other reviews we receive we have achieved this. We furnish the villa to a high spec with a modern theme and regularly update and replace items where necessary. I would like to answer Martins points one by one to address each issue. With regard to the throws and general cleaning of the villa, well we are very surprised by his comments. We have a very good villa manager and pool cleaner who have recieved many compliments from previous guests in the past 6 years we have been renting the villa, some guests taking the time to email her directly thanking her for all her help. The villa, bedding, towels and any throws are cleaned before the arrival of any guests, if the stay is for 2 weeks then a mid week clean and linen change is also carried out. The villa is pretty easy to keep clean as it's all on one level and all floors are tiled so I fail to understand how Martin can think that it was in dire need of a good clean ! We would of course investigate this further if we received regular complaints regarding cleanliness but we dont ! Our villa manager also cleans villas for a reputable villa management company so I don't think she would still be employed by them if her work was sub standard. As for the updating of the villa, well we are very upset by this comment as much of the items in the villa were replaced when we visited 4 months ago. This includes the sofas, the lounge and bedroom TV's the lounge furniture including dining table, bedding and pool towels. Crockery is regularly replaced as and when it gets broken. We had the pool drained and repainted in November of last year and in February 2012 we had the whole villa re-painted. This is a second home for us too and we would not let it get into disrepair or become neglected, any breakages or problems are quickly rectified. With regard to the privacy of the villa, well if you read our advert it does not say the villa is private (or secluded as it would appear these guests would have preferred). The advert quite clearly states a private pool which means that it is not SHARED. Also, there is adequate privacy at the villa as apart from the back wall all walls are raised to 6ft. The only time you may see people is when the neighbour goes in and out of their house probably a couple of times a day. Once sunbathing on a lounger or actually in the pool you wouldn't even be seen by them passing anyway. I think if privacy was a major issue for guests then I would expect them to contact us to ask and we always give an accurate description regarding any part of the villa as we do not want guests to be dissapointed. With regard to distances from the villa, well we have also clearly stated in our advert that it takes approximately 25 minutes to walk to the centre of town. We have actually walked this several times to make sure this is accurate, we do not have a fast walking pace and we have timed it to the main high street as taking 17 minutes so stating 25 minutes is allowing for a slower pace. We do not specifically state Marina Rubicon as walking distance but it is walkable if you don't mind an extra 10 to 15 minutes walking along the promenade. With regard to lighting, there are street lights along the entire route into town, and around the area of our villa. The street lighting is the same througout the Island and I'm afraid there is nothing I can do with regard to making the lights shine any brighter. We are sorry that Martin was unable to contact our villa manager when he tried to phone, I have been assured that the number is available 24hrs and we have not had this happen before so it was unfortunate. I have also checked with our villa manager that she did go round to the villa to see Martin during his stay, she has assured me that she knocked on the door several times but there was no response, she also went round the back and called out but nobody responded. It is not possible for her to keep going round in the hope that the guests will be there but she is only in the villa opposite so she is easily reachable. We feel that the review is unfair and inaccurate and this response is to register this due to the fact we have no other reviews like this on any of our rental sites. Previous guests may have given some useful tips for making the villa even better but none have given a 1 star rating, all our other reviews have been 5 stars or the occasional 4 star. Guests that have been out before and after MArtin and his partner have given us glowing reports, we also have quite a few repeat guests which shows the quality and enjoyment of this villa. We hope this has addressed all issues raised by Martin and would gladly talk to any future guests about the villa and area before they book if they have any specific requirements or questions.Villa Ripley

From Tewkesbury

We like to cater for ourselves and could have done with an extra pan or two, otherwise the villa was well equipped, even the knives were sharp. High ceilings gave a feeling of spaciousness. Nice quiet neighborhood, with helpful neighbor next door.

From Newry

The villa was lovely and the the villa manager was more than helpful. The fact that the villa owners had provided books, cds and dvds was thoughtful.
However this villa does require Air Conditioning in the summer months. We had to rent 3 floor fans for the 3 bedrooms as the ceiling fans were very noisy and did not cool the room down at all. If the property got Air Conditioning in I would definitely recommend it.

What a Great Place, Great Holiday Review Submitted: 02 February 2012 Date of Stay: January 2012 We all had such a great time at Villa Ripley, the booking, the villa, area everything was all wonderful. Everything we read about Villa Ripley from other reviews was true, property was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We were well looked after by Liz and Dave opposite. We sat out nearly every night having BBQs and enjoyed the relaxing feel of the place. There was only one very slight downside, which was the pool was deep and not being a very tall family (5 of us and 1 toddler), only 1 of us could stand up in the pool, it made playing in the pool with our toddler a bit difficult, this didnt put all of us off going in everyday though and in January too - Amazing weather ! Would definately recommend Villa Ripley to friends and family and Playa Blanca. Having never been to Lanzarote before I was very impressed with the weather and overall quality and upkeep, reminded me of some of our Spain holidays when I was a little girl before it become over commercialised/busy. We found a gorgeous restaurant called Aromas in Playa Blanca, very nice, quite an occasion place but we thought very reasonable for what you got, food was heavenly. Our favourite beach was Playa Flamingo, sooo pretty, clean, clear water and shallow for quite awhile for our son. We all had a wonderful holiday, thank you Karen and Dave for letting us into your hoilday home, we are all very jealous and want one too ! Thanks lots Keeley Miall, Hubbie, Bubba, Grandads & Nanny Owners Response: Thanks Keeley and family for such a lovely review, we are very pleased you enjoyed your time at the villa. Playa blanca is a lovely safe resort and as you say, still has its charm and has not been overdeveloped. There are many lovely restaurants in the town and the playa flamingo area is lovely having just been re-developed over the past year due to freak heavy storm damage 3 years ago ! Thank you for recommending us to family and friends and hopefully may hear from you again in the future. Regards Karen Rating 5 out of 5

Our families winter sun fun! Review Submitted: 21 March 2012 Date of Stay: March 2012 My family and I have just returned from a fantastic week in Lanzarote staying at this lovely villa. Villa Ripley has everything you need, it really is home from home. The bedrooms were very close which helped me settle knowing the kids werent at the other side of the villa to us. We packed light only taking 2 suitcases for the 5 of us. Knowing we would have a washing machine there it made life a lot easier having very little luggage so we could concentrate on looking after our young children. When we arrived the villa was well presented and clean. Having paid extra for pool heating we took advantage of it and jumped in, it was just like getting into a warm bath and would definitely recommend it at this time of year. The weather was lovely the first couple of days and windy for the rest although still warm. We hired a car which is perfect for getting to see different places on the island. I would recommend going to the Papagayo beaches, they are just stunning! And for those of you with children the Rancho Texas Park is a fab day out. We enjoyed eating out, the waiters are so friendly and welcoming. The Irish Anvil was a favourite as was Lanis who fed the left over pizza and chips to the fish with my little boy. He loved this. The neighbours of Villa Ripley are friendly and you couldnt wish to meet nicer villa managers who were very helpfull. Thank you Dave and Karen for letting us rent your beautiful villa. It was the perfect home from home for us and we will be returning soon. Rating 4 out of 5

Villa Ripley Review Submitted: 02 May 2012 Date of Stay: March 2012 We stayed at Villa Ripley over the Easter holiday. The villa lived up to all expectations and was very comfortable and provided everything we needed. Our boys loved the playstation and DVD player in their bedroom and the baby was comfortable in the travel cot that was provided. The pool was really warm and there were lots of outside toys for the children to play with. There was a great selec tion of DVDs for both children and adults too. The location was really good-very short drive to the beach and town. We would highly recommend staying at this lovely villa. Owners Response: Thanks very much for a lovely review, were pleased that you and your family had a great time at the villa and would highly recommend it to others. Thanks very much for choosing our villa for your Easter holiday. Rating 5 out of 5

relaxing and wonderful holiday Review Submitted: 18 June 2012 Date of Stay: May 2012 This holiday was so simple to arrange, largely due to the attention offered by the owners who guided me so well. When we arrived, the villa was exactly as we had expected, clean and spacious with an inviting pool all ready to plunge into. We loved all the extra touches, particularly the range of music and dvds to watch. We found Liz, who oversees guests very informative and guided us on where to shop, beaches and was helpful. It was one of the most stress free holidays I have had for a long time. Thank you I will recommend this to my friends and would hope to return.

Rating 5 out of 5 Villa Ripley.... Perfect !! Review Submitted: January 9, 2012 Date of Stay: December 2011 I dont know how to start, the only way to discribe this villa is "Perfect",from the minute we arrived on New Years eve.. beer and bubblie in the fridge along with milk ! The directions from the airport to the villa were great ! Villa Ripley was clean welcoming and beautifully decorated. Three good sized bedrooms and a playstation in one, which was bagged by our 15 year old son ! A happy teenager it could nt get much better than this! Our 12 year old daugher found endless DVD s to watch from the fantastic collection around the lounge. The kitchen was well equipt for the evenings in. Rating 5 out of 5 Easter 2010 at Villa Ripley welsh5 Wales Review Submitted: April 18, 2010 Date of Stay: March 2010 We were a group of 5 (4 adults and 16month year old) staying at the Villa at the end of March 2010. the directions to the villa were very good and straight forward which was important as we were driving at night. First impressions of the villa were amazing. Within 5 minutes of arriving we were in the heated pool at midnight! so good! The villa is well maintained and inside space more than enough for our party. The best thing about the villa is the outside space. there is a large patio area and we were pleased with the size of the pool. i would definetly recommend having the pool heated. the BBQ is a good size with plenty of utensils to use. There are lots of extras at the villa such as a table football game, a welcome pack (a nice touch) CDs, books all of which add to the feel of the place. The villa is about a 20 minute walk from the beach, we had a hire car and it was less than a 5 minute drive and easy to navigate around the resort. We couldnt believe how quiet the area around the villa was considering it was in the School holidays I would definetly recommend this villa to anyone thinking about renting a villa in such a nice resort! Rating 5 out of 5 Wow what a fab holiday at Villa Ripley - Feb 2010 Lynsey and Steve Fareham, Hampshire Review Submitted: May 2, 2010 Date of Stay: February 2010 Thank you Karen and Dave for a fantastic holiday. Everything we needed was provided including beach towels and the accommodation was spotless. Any questions we had were quickly answered by Liz the Villa Manager and she quickly pointed us in the right direction for supermarkets/butchers, sight seeing etc. We had a wonderful stay with 2 children (1 x 6 year old and 1 x 2 year old), both were very happy. Karen and Dave had provided lots of games, CDs and DVDs for everyones use together with providing a football and pool table which the kids loved. The main attraction for our kids was the pool which was clean and warm and we couldnt get them out! Their swimming and confidence improved so much that week we couldnt believe our luck at how much enjoyment they would find. There was a fabulous brick built bbq at the poolside which was a perfect addition and allowed us to enjoy many an evening meal. When we wanted to venture out we visited the beaches at Papagayo...beautiful. El Golfo with The Green Lagoon was breathtaking and definitely worth a visit as was Timanfaya National Park with all the volcanoes. Our favourite restaurant on the marina was Lanis...where the portions were huge, the food excellent and they made a huge fuss of the kids. Definitely worth going to. All in all we cant wait to go again and will definitely be booking sometime in the future. Thanks ever so much. Rating 5 out of 5 First Rate Holiday ! Eileen & Norman Surrey Review Submitted: May 29, 2010 Date of Stay: April 2010 We went to villa ripley in late april my husband and i are in our late sixtys but we managed to walk up to the sea front nearly every day then from there we would rather walk to the harbour or go the other way to the marina. We found the villa so comfortable there was everything we wanted there and the beds were really comfortable. The villa was so clean and liz the neighbour was so helpfull the customer service was excellent we went to lanis snack bar for lunch several times, excellent food and very well priced. we booked two trips one to the north tour and the other one to oasis park in Feurteventura, we can really recomend them. My husband used to love going back to the villa late afternoon and go straight in the swimming pool it was always lovely and warm. You could not get bored in the villa as there were plenty of DVDs, books and some games, the television had plenty of english chanels to watch too. It had a really nice kitchen with everything you need, the owners have put a lot of thought into it as they even supply a high chair and push chair for the children We will definately be going back again and we will recommend it to all our friends. Thank you to Karen and Dave for a wonderful holiday, we couldnt fault it. Recommended for: Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Rating 5 out of 5 PERFECT VILLA Gilly and Clive Wimbledon Review Submitted: September 6, 2010 Date of Stay: August 2010 We had a fantastic (if very hot !) 2 weeks at Villa Ripley. The villa is exactly as described with everything we needed for a family holiday. Playa Blanca is a lovely resort, with something for all ages. The DVD collection is amazing and kept our 3 girls (14, 12 and 12) happy during the hours we had to keep them out of the sun (lots of chick flicks !). We visited three of the Papagayo beaches. They are stunning and all the beach gear at the villa was a godsend. Beware - the hike back up to the carpark in the midday August heat with all your gear is a killer ! Also be aware that on some of the beaches, clothing is optional and it does always seem to be middle aged men who stroll up and down the beach wearing nothing but a sunhat - our girls were torn between acute embarrassment and hysterical laughter. Lanis snackbar is good for lunch. They also do fantastic rotisserie chickens to take away - lovely in the evening if you dont want to cook. Casa Roja in Marina Rubicon is lovely but pricey. La Taberna just next door to it does good cheap tapas. Liz who looks after the villa and Dave, her husband, who looks after the pool are a blessing and also excellent if you need advice / recommendations on anything local. Although a car is not strictly necessary, we were glad to have one. Doing the shopping for a family of 5 with no car would have been very difficult, as would visiting the beaches at Papagayo and other places. However it is easy to get taxis (we booked Antonio twice to go out in the evenings - ask Liz for his number) and they are not expensive. All in all a wonderful villa and pool in lovely surroundings. Perfect location and beautifully kept and equipped to a high standard. We have already recommened Villa Ripley to friends. Rating 5 out of 5 Fabulous Villa Debbie London Review Submitted: October 2, 2010 Date of Stay: September 2010 We stayed at this lovely villa at the beginning of September 2010 for 1 week. The villa was beautifully furnished and very clean. On arrival there was a few bottles of cava and beers in the fridge as a welcome which was nice as we had arrived late (thanks Liz). This was the first time that we had stayed in a villa and we will certainly be staying here again, the pool was lovely and warm and well maintained by Dave who looks after it on a regular basis and we had many fab BBQs at the pool side, in fact we did not want to go out. When we did finally explore the surroundings, the beach was really nice and golden (which is unusual in the Canaries) approximately 15 minutes on foot or 3 euros in a taxi. We spent most of our time at the marina which is packed with restaurants. Tip: when going to the marina, take bread with you as there are loads of fish which love bread and we saw a Barracuda (a big one)! All in all, we had a lovely relaxing weeks break and we fully recommend this villa to anyone that wishes visit Lanzarote. Villa Ripley Lincoln party Lincolnshire.Date Submitted: June 12, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2008 WOW! it was the first time we did our own DIY holiday & going away with close friends, we wanted the perfect experience, no fuss and certainly no hiccups!... Villa Ripley exceeded above our expectations, the villa was well equipt, had everything you could possibly need, it truly felt like a home! The communication from Dave & Karen was brilliant and gave reassurance that should we have any problems or require further information, they were on available to assist! - FANTASTIC! The weather was HOT! pool was fab, didn't even need to be heated to enjoy a full day of fun! we spent an evening in and enjoyed the BBQ and the Hi-Fi. Comments from Owner Guestbook Firstly, the directions to the Villa were great. We have only good things to report about your Villa as there was absolutely nothing to complain about! Our first reaction when we walked through the door was ‘Wow’ what a fantastic place! It is very well furnished to a high standard, very comfortable and very clean. Everything we needed was provided including beach towels. The pool was superb, very well kept and used everyday. The location was great, not too far away from the town but in a very quiet residential area. Overall we were really pleased with our choice of villa and location. Playa Blanca, in my opinion is the best resort on the island. We really enjoyed Lanzarote and had a fantastic holiday and hopefully, will return again in the future. Thanks very much, Tina, Keith & Maya We really enjoyed our week at Villa Ripley. The villa is spacious and well appointed with everything you need. We found it great value & would certainly recommend it, especially for families, Murray

Our Enjoyable Stay at Villa Ripley Holland Family England.Date Submitted: Jan 03, 2008 Date of Stay: Jul 2007 Villa Ripley is located some distance from amenities, but that makes it more relaxing. However Rental Car is a must if you take children or elderly. Villa Ripley was very clean, comfortable and homely with virtually all mod cons. When we were there the temperature peaked one night at a record 45 degrees Centigrade (112 degrees Farenheit) - that night we did miss the air conditioning!! A microwave was the only the ONLY other luxury missing. The kids enjoyed the lovely pool and spent a lot of time on the Playstation! We thoroughly enjoyed all our outings and would highly recommend the Papagayo Beach to all but the disabled or elderly (steep climb). The caretakers who live next door are a lovely and helpful couple who can recommend an excellent seafront restaurant! (We went there three times!) Out of 100? We'd give 95! Recommended for: Families with Young Children, and Sightseeing Owners Response: Thanks Holland family for great feedback ! We would like to add that since your stay we have added more to the villa, including a microwave ! Although it can get very warm in the height of summer we do have ceiling fans in all bedrooms to help you sleep at night ! We are constantly looking at ways to improve the villa and have changes planned for this year ! We're glad you enjoyed your holiday and hope to hear from you again in the future. X

It is superbly appointed, meticulously looked after and now a real family favourite. Devon.Date Submitted: Jan 26, 2008 Date of Stay: May 2007 I spent a week at Villa Ripley with friends in May, the property was outstanding in terms of cleanliness and more than exceeded our expectations. The bedrooms were spacious and cool at night, it was very peaceful and we had a fantastic week with guaranteed sun. The location was perfect as it enabled us to chill out by the pool, all the local amenities were within 20 mins walking distance; beach, restaurants, bars and cycle hire and the walk around the volcano along with the views I would highly recommend. We visited Timanfaya, it truly is a bus ride to remember and El Gofo was spectacular. Check out some of the more secluded villages along the coast especially if you like seafood. Thanks Karen and Dave, we will be returning sometime in the future - it was a truly all-round brillant week. Firstly, the directions to the Villa were great. Thanks very much, Tina, Keith & Maya Oct 2006"We really enjoyed our week in Lanzarote and at Villa Ripley. We arrived at night, however, the directions were clear and made it easy to find the Villa and the welcome pack provided did just the trick, especially as it was New Years Eve! We found the holiday thoroughly relaxing, the Villa is spacious and well appointed with every thing you need to make a home away from home. It's close enough to all amenities, yet away from all the hustle & bustle of the resorts. The weather was very reasonable for winter with temperatures in the mid 20's C, and with the pool heating the both the adults and kids were in it for hours every day.We found it great value for money and would certainly recommend it, especially for families." Murray & Leanne, Jan 2007Hi Karen and Dave,I just want to say a quick thank you on behalf of myself and family for making our holiday so enjoyable! The villa was home from home, beautiful decor, fantastic facilities, great location and brilliant DVD's!!! Your neighbours also made us feel extremely welcome and were very helpful with their knowledge of the island etc.. We will definitely be going back at some point over the next 12months and will take with me some books and DVD's to add to your collection! Many thanks again Helen xx

We are a professional married couple who decided to invest some inheritance into a long term property investment abroad. We fell in love with Lanzarote after several visits and because of the added bonus of year round sunshine we decided to buy a place there. We are not in this to make money out of rental income, we just want to cover our costs and hope that the property will prove to be the real investment. We have made every effort to make the villa as homely as possible but with a touch of modern class. We have spent alot of money on furnishings of high quality and have tried to think of everything. Because we stay there ourselves, obviously the upkeep of the property is very important, this is regularly attended to and monitored.
