This modern villa is set in a relaxing location with beautiful mountain views and a short walk to the beach.
The villa is well equipped with all the comforts from home. It has a large garden which has been beautifully planted surrounded by a volcanic wall. It has a large rectangular heated swimming pool (7x3) with Roman steps. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, fitted wardrobes and ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a king size bed and fitted wardrobes. Bedroom 3 has a single bed, it also has fitted wardrobes. The lounge has patio doors opening onto the terrace where you have an alfresco dining area, seating for 6. We now have a lovely dining room with seating for 6 off the kitchen if the weather turns bad, and an extra room off this with bunk beds for 2 extra children. Also there are 6 sun loungers around the pool and a built in barbeque. The lounge is fully equipped with TV, English speaking channels, DVD, CD etc. The villa is also equiped with air conditioning, primarily for the summer months.
There are numerous restaurants overlooking the sea in Playa Blanca. A short walk along the seafront is Puerto Rubicon where you can enjoy top quality restaurants by the marina.
The kitchen is fully fitted including kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board and microwave. We are also providing our guests with beach towels saving you on luggage space. Our villa will be maintained to a high standard and should any problems arise during your stay there will be 24hr assistance provided by a reputable company. The villa is located in a small residential area with shops, bars and restaurants only a short walk away. Also for evening entertainment you can use the local hotels. We do have a strict non smoking policy inside the villa but smoking is permitted outside and ash trays are provided.
Playa Blanca is the most southern resort on the island and subsequently benefits from the maximum sunshine available. Playa Blanca has an excellent selection of bars and restaurants located on the seafront and around the old harbour. There is also a pedestrianized town with many shops.
There are 3 beaches in Playa Blanca. Playa Flamingo is to the right of the harbour with a sandy beach. A small beach in the main town and Playa Dorada is the closest to our villa, just a 25 minute walk. It runs for about half a mile with soft sand and clear blue waters ideal for snorkeling. You can also hire jet skis and go on the banana boat from there. From Playa Blanca you can walk along the beautiful seafront promenade which leads you to the new International Marina Rubicon with stylish shops/bars & bowling alley. Just a 5 minute drive away are the Papagayo beaches, these are the best beaches on the island with their clear blue waters ideal for scuba diving or just soaking up the sun.
Tias is famous for its wine, producing some very good quality stuff. Costa Teguise has an 18 hole golf course set among the volcanic hills. It is also a very good place to go wind surfing as the seas there are very rough and it is the windy part of the island. Also there is a great fun- filled waterpark there too. Puerto Del Carmen to me is the nightlife capital of Lanzarote, there are loads of clubs, bars and restaurants on about a mile and a half strip. There are lots of trips to go on such as : the national park (thats a good one), a quad bike safari, a booze cruise on a big boat, Teguise market, camel riding, wine tasting, a glass bottom boat trip, you can even take a trip to Fuerteventura with your car or as a foot passenger. It only cost 45euros for 1 car and 2 persons the last time i went. We found the best tour company to use is Last Minute Travel, the reps are English speaking, they really look after you especially if you have young children and they friendly too. Playa Blanca is one of the quieter resorts on the island but there is still plenty to do if you are a night owl. In Punta Limones which is by the ferry port, is Legends Karaoke Bar, which is a small and friendly bar open till 2am 6 days a week. If you want to stay out later and have even more fun then go to Roof Tops, which is upstairs from Legends and stays open till 4am. There are a few bars which do live music now, we think the Irish Anvil Bar is the best as Gary plays his guitar there 5 nights a week. For all those sports fans there are many bars showing live matches. Popeyes is on the same level as Legends and has 20 screens and can show 4 matches at any one time. Also Mollys Bar at Dorada beach shows sky football and the rugby. Most restaurants have a see view and there are plenty to choose from. You can eat anything from Fish, Steak, Chinese, Spanish Traditional, Indian to ham, egg and chips. We recommend Larnis in the New Marina Rubicon for specialist meals, very nice.
Car Hire is not essential but we would recommend it as a taxi from the airport is about 40 euros to Playa Blanca and 40 euros back to the airport. Car hire from the airport works out at about 142 euros for the week which we think is value for money. You could have your keys to your car by the time your suitcases have arrived on the carousel. Then you dont have to Que for a taxi. It only takes about 25 minutes to reach our villa from the airport and it is a very easy journey. Should you hire a car we can provide you with directions. Having a car gives you much more flexibility, and there is so much to see and do, just a short journey away. The car hire company we would recommend is Autoreisen, if you search car hire in Lanzarote on your search engine they will come up. We always use them as good value, reliable and new cars. Avis & Hertz are twice the price. On the other hand if you dont want to drive we can arrange transfers to and from the villa at an extra charge.

Fine complex. Very good arrangement. It is not noisy. For rest with children - a worthy place!!! Lived in June, in F704 Apartment. Good look, pure.
Went to villa ripley for 1 week in July, to be honest we werent as impressed as the people in the previous reviews. There were good points about this villa but also, Im afraid to say, bad ones. First the good ones the villa was very well stocked with cooking utensils, salt sugar, pots etc which was great, also great selec tion of dvd and bb1, 2 itv ch 4 and ch 5, along with other channels. The villa has loads of outside space and a large bbq. However there was also quite a few bad points, for example the throws on the couches were in dire need of washing along with the cushions which were not clean in my opinion. I ended up taking them off and using the pillows from the bed. In general we felt the villa was in dire need of a good clean and even a bit of updating. Also the villa is not what i would regard as private, yes from either side it is well covered, but looking straight ahead from the patio there is a lower wall to which you can see the next door neighbours front door(picture added), so every time someone is walking past they can see right into the villa area (ie patio and pool). I also do not agree that the centre of playa blanca or the marina rubicon is within walking distance nor would i say the area is well lit. We did have a car but it would have taken at least 30mins in the heat to walk. Luckily enough a taxi only costs around 3-4 euros. We didnt see any villa manager the whole week we were there, in fact when we arrived we couldnt find the villa so i phoned the emergancy number provided (around 10.15pm) and it was a recorded message saying something in spanish which i could not understand so was completely useless. This villa was booked for a special occasion and yes we had a great holiday but i would not go back to this villa.
We like to cater for ourselves and could have done with an extra pan or two, otherwise the villa was well equipped, even the knives were sharp. High ceilings gave a feeling of spaciousness. Nice quiet neighborhood, with helpful neighbor next door.
The villa was lovely and the the villa manager was more than helpful. The fact that the villa owners had provided books, cds and dvds was thoughtful.
However this villa does require Air Conditioning in the summer months. We had to rent 3 floor fans for the 3 bedrooms as the ceiling fans were very noisy and did not cool the room down at all. If the property got Air Conditioning in I would definitely recommend it.

We are a professional married couple who decided to invest some inheritance into a long term property investment abroad. We fell in love with Lanzarote after several visits and because of the added bonus of year round sunshine we decided to buy a place there. We are not in this to make money out of rental income, we just want to cover our costs and hope that the property will prove to be the real investment. We have made every effort to make the villa as homely as possible but with a touch of modern class. We have spent alot of money on furnishings of high quality and have tried to think of everything. Because we stay there ourselves, obviously the upkeep of the property is very important, this is regularly attended to and monitored.
