About our Home
This family home was designed with the intent for private use only, because we are such busy people the villa is going to be left empty a lot of the time so we made the decision to rent the villa out and let other people enjoy it. The villa is equipped to the highest standard with everything you could imagine, here is a list of a few to mention: • Private garden with private heated pool & gas BBQ, the entire pool area has been grassed; this is fantastic for kids, no more slipping on wet tiles. • Fully-equipped kitchen & utility room (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron & board etc) • Spacious lounge (air con, TV with Sky Sports & Movies, DVD player with over 50 DVDs, ipod docking station, board & card games) Heated outdoor patio dining area and awning with comfy seats • Large roof terrace with dining area (& double outdoor bed!) •2 Mountain bikes

We have 3 good sized bedrooms, If you want a little peace & quite the master suite is perfect as the bedroom has been extended so now it now has a separate area with a couch where you can relax, read a book and watch the kids play in the pool from inside the cool air conditioned bedroom has an extra large king size bed, en suite with power shower and Satellite TV in the bedroom. All 3 bedrooms have their own Hairdryers with small table and mirrors, perfect for applying makeup in the evenings.

We have 2 bathrooms in the villa. The main bathroom has a bath and the en suite bathroom has been redesigned and a power shower has been added for maximum comfort and relaxation

Villa M is a spacious, clean and well laid out property. Overall we had a very comfortable and peaceful two weeks. The villa is conveniently situated and there were no rowdy neighbors to contend with.
We had enough privacy, even though the adjoining properties’ roof terraces overlook the rear garden and pool area. This was not a problem for us as the property immediately behind was unoccupied during our stay and the occupants of the house to the side did not use their terrace much. The pool was clean and heated to the perfect temperature for the time of year.
We had a hire car and were happy to see off street parking was provided. Furthermore, the Villa felt very secure and at no time did we feel anything but completely at ease.
On a slightly more negative note, the mountain bikes were not in great condition at all. A shame, because being a bit of an exercise nut, I was really looking forward to using them.
Furthermore, the fridge-freezer played up whilst we were there…..the freezer kept defrosting and the fridge froze our salads and soft fruit. After two visits from a rather perplexed handyman, we ended up with a second fridge in the entrance hall. Not ideal, but a workable solution nonetheless.
More importantly however, the en suite shower drain was blocked from day one. The handyman duly arrived and said all he could do was to put a chemical bomb down it and hope for the best. This improved things, but only marginally. He mentioned that the owners were aware of the problem but had been unable to sort it out, as the villa was constantly booked! We find this unacceptable in a property that is described as “luxury”. We dislike the “shower in bath set up” and ruled a few other properties out because that was all they offered. Thus we were very disappointed to have to use this very option in the second bathroom to avoid standing in a few inches of backed up water whilst showering.
For us this somewhat spoilt an otherwise near perfect holiday.

This Villa is stunning! The pictures certainly do it justice and it really is as beautiful as it looks. We had superb communications with Regina, the property manager and she couldn't have looked after us any better. Regina even offered to arrange our airport transfers for us which made our arrival and departure completely hassle free.
The Villa is very well equipped, everything we needed for 2 weeks of self catering was there. The furnishings are of superb quality and we felt at home straight away. The ceiling fans were more than adequate to keep the Villa cool along with keeping the windows and doors open so there really was no need to use the air con, even in August! Mosquito nets and sec bars on all windows meant we felt secure in keeping all windows open while we were in the Villa. It is extremely private even though other villas are situated next door and behind and it is in a very quiet area. The pool was cleaned weekly and we had linen change and a clean once during the fortnight. All the people who maintain this Villa were so friendly, offered lots of advice, hints and tips and made us feel very comfortable.
The area is residential and holiday let's combined. It's about 10-15 min walk to Mercadona, an amazing supermarket where we did all of our big shops! Ridiculously cheap for all every day essentials but more so for their beers, wines and fresh meats of which we sampled a lot of for our daily barbeque! QIts about a 15-20 min walk to the first few bars of the main Street in Corralejo but with a little one a bit too old for a buggy, we used the local taxis who were easy to call for and were very cheap, (3-4 Euros to Corralejo and about 6-7 Euros to Grand Playas Beach).
We visited 2 beaches, the first being in Corralejo town known as Waikiki Beach. This is lovely and the waters are calm but there is a lot of seaweed which put off my 5 yr old. So we got a taxi to Grand Playas Beach, a stunning beach of white sand, clear waters and some fun waves which we spent hours simply jumping over them! There are lifeguards on the beach and it felt very safe. There are a couple of beach cafes and snack shacks to buys lunch, drinks etc and we even enjoyed a camel ride on the beach, a bit more exotic than our own donkeys I must admit!
The highlight of our holiday though was the Villa. We loved relaxing by the pool area and then enjoying the evening sun up on the roof terrace playing games and enjoying the local tipples. The pool area and roof terrace are both covered in AstroTurf which make it perfect if you have small children as it means less slipping etc.
Previous reviews have said that attention needs to be given to some furnishings etc , let me settle it, this has certainly taken place!! New hammocks, new sofa furnishings, new terrace furnishings etc (including the roof top sunbed) are all in superb condition. We really can't say enough about how beautiful this Villa is.
We would certainly have booked again if we could have gotten local flights on a Saturday as this is the transfer day, so we were very sad not to have been able to book again.
I love this Villa, it was so hard not to and leaving it was even harder. Thank-you Regina for all your help and care both before and while we were there.

The second time we have visited this villa and although it was lovely, it could do with some attention and tlc. We had fond memories of relaxing in the hammocks after a hard day at the beach but were saddened to see that one had broken and the other one hung by a thread??. In general if this villa is to continue to be sold as a luxury villa it needs some attention such as new sofa, New day bed on roof as current one mouldy, tv outside broken and one of main reasons we booked. Lovely villa but neglected a little. ??

Weve been back a week now and can report we had a fantastic time at the villa! Easily in the best couple of villas weve stayed at in Corralejo ( no1 was a lot dearer !) .amenities and equipment were first class , the pool was warm !!! .Unfortunately the owners husband had to return to Ireland before our arrival ( hence medium check in score!)so we had no contact with anyone ( apart from whatsapp message!) but it really didnt matter as a small problem with a blocked drain was sorted out by the maintenance man.
Really liked the covered patio area , a real points winner , first morning there I turned on the outside telly and low & behold match of the day appeared , you cant beat that!!!!we will definitely return as we visit Corralejo regularly ( make sure you go to bouganville cocktail bar!) as the villa is a great place to chill out and explore the resort !!!

We had simply the best holiday at Villa Margareta. This was our first time using villa rentals and the whole process was easy with no hiccups - will certainly use again. The villa itself was beautiful and catered for all members of our family - we had a wonderful time!

Friends from West Malling, United Kingdom Jun 2014

We are 2 couples that stayed at Villa Margarita from 10th-17th June 2014 and we all had a really fantastic time. The villa was as lovely as in the photos, it really did not disappoint! We spent most of our time in or around the pool, and the roof terrace was great too - its very easy to fall asleep on the double bed up there! It was so nice to get in the pool first thing in the morning, the water is heated so it is lovely to get into. The veranda is great for escaping the hot sun, there is a small wall mounted TV outside so we sat outside one evening and watched England play in the world cup! The interior of the villa is lovely, clean, although we barely spent any time indoors as we were lucky to have such great weather. Very excited to have a decent hairdryer and straighteners in every bedroom too, that was a nice touch. Kitchen had every possible utensil going which made it feel really homely. Beds were really comfy which I was relieved about as this is something I often struggle with! The biggest, cheapest supermarket on the island is about a 10 minute walk away. We took empty suitcases with us to fill up with drink....water of course, not just wine. Although the wine is ridiculously cheap so rude not to indulge... :-) there are a couple of mini supermarkets in the other direction but Regina the owner told us they were expensive and recommended the cheap, larger one to us. Regina was very helpful and it was easy to contact her on her mobile via Whats App if we had problems. The area was very quiet and peaceful, we all felt very relaxed by the end of it. We usually got taxis into the town as its about a 25 minute walk, although the walk wasnt a problem. Taxis are so so cheap! The main town is lively and it felt very safe, with a good variety of bars and restaurants. Everything seemed reasonably priced, we didnt spend us much as we thought for the week which makes a change! Great island, great villa, highly recommend to anyone, would be ideal for families, friends, couples... :-) thank you for a wonderful holiday! Aimee, David, Ben & Jodie.

This is a stunning Villa situated in a quiet part of Corralego only 10 minutes walk to restaurants and shops and excellent beaches only a short drive away. The layout of the Villa has been really well thought out and it feels so spacious both inside and outside - even with a family of 5 there is still plenty of room. The air conditioned rooms are excellent. The garden area again has been well planned and thought out, especially the astroturf around the pool which is really important when the children are in and out of the pool - no slipping on tiles. The patio area is ideal for relaxing in the evening next to the pool. You can tell the owners of this Villa love this property and take pride in its appearance both internally and externally. We had a fantastic holiday and I am sure visitors to this Villa will have the same, in fact we enjoyed it so much we are arranging to visit again next year.
