Casa La Molina is the perfect place to unwind in comfortable and peaceful surroundings. Relaxation starts here.
This area is very beautiful, rolling hills and mountains that dip down to the azure coloured sea. Little white-washed cottages with drying beds for the moscatel grapes dot the countryside. The hillsides are covered with vines, almonds, olives, avacados and mangoes. Spring brings multitudes of wild flowers to Andalucia and wildlife from eagles to chameleons is varied and colorful.
Here you have the advantage of being in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by beautiful mountains, yet only 40 minutes from the beach, shops and the nightlife on the Costa del Sol.
Comares village has a doctor’s surgery, a chemist, a tobacconist, a post office and a very good all in one shop selling everything from kirby grips to salted cod. Market day is on Saturday. There are several bars, a restaurant in the old mill that overlooks the precipitous drop to the valley floor. Several other cafes offer very good ‘menu del dia’ from 6 to 8 euros.
The very narrow streets are carless, but you can follow the ceramic footprints for a tour round the historic fortified village that dates back to the 3rd century BC. Don’t be surprised to see a donkey watching you from a doorway! Do go up to the cemetry. The best views are frequently enjoyed by the dead.
A car is essential if you want to do anything other than walk. Within easy striking distance you have beaches, caves, golfing, boating, skiiing, olive mills, markets. Do visit the ports at Benalmadena, Cabo Pina and Puerto Banus in Marbella to enjoy people watching of the rich and famous!
Malaga city's old quarter is very beautiful and has fantastic restaurants and tapas bars. The Parador at the top of the Gibralfo has a couple of Michelin stars so is worth having an evening out to enjoy gourmet food. Malaga’s Santa Semana Easter festival is breathtaking and the ten day August Festival is world renouned.
Make time for Granada to see the Alambra Palace, Cordoba for the Mesquita and on the way see the fields of sunflowers in season. Visit Seville for the Real Alcazar and Ronda for breathtaking views and much more. Keep an eye open for the storks nesting on chimneys. Inland there are olive mills, national parks, Malaga’s lake district, mountains and hill top villages to visit.
There are lots of places to visit on the coast that include a crocodile park, Sea World, water parks and shopping malls. You need never be short of something to do.
The Apartments - Casa La Molina, completed June 2006, consists of four apartments with views to die for. The air conditioning and double glazing ensure cool in summer and warmth in winter. The private swimming pool is only for the guests use. The house is a couple of minutes from the plaza and there is ample car parking space within 50 metres.
It is ideal for walkers, bird watchers, painters, explorers and anyone just wanting peace and quiet.
