Villa overview - owner's description
Casa Sunflower is a luxury villa located on the edge of the Andalucia town of Coín in the heart of the Costa del Sol only 25 mins from Malaga Airport and 20 mins to the nearest beach. The villa is furnished and presented to the highest standards all with modern taste and design. The villa is fully equipped with the latest appliances and gadgets. Privately owned we pride ourselves in providing you everything you could require for you holiday, we have added a lot of personal touches and extras for you to make you feel at home and welcome. Our Villa is located on the exclusive Sierra Gorda urbanization. South facing with spectacular and breathtaking views of the Gualdaforce valley overlooking the nearby towns of Coin and Alhaurin el Grande. The colour of the valley changes throughout the seasons from the green winter to the yellows of high summer, during the day the villages in the distance look like small white Lego bricks and night the lights sparkle like stars.
Lounge and Dining area.
Large lounge and dining area, leading on to two terraces facing to the east and west for morning and afternoon sun. Both terraces overlook the pool with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The lounge is fully equipped with wide screen TV, DVD, Smart TV. There is the ability for a further two fold away childrens beds to be provided on request. In the lounge there is a separate dining area with capacity and setting for up to 8 people. If you prefer dining alfresco you can use the dining area’s on the terrace or by the pool. The lounge and bedrooms in the villa are fully air-conditioned with cooling and heating available. Sun loungers are provided on the terraces.
The master bedroom has a double bed and large fitted wardrobes, with views and windows leading onto the terrace. The second bedroom has twin beds, fitted wardrobes and views to the mountain behind.
There is a further Pool house (3rd Bedroom) ensuite twin bedroom with private lounge overlooking the pool. This forms part of the Basement area and leads out on to a terrace at the pool side. This is available at an additional 150€ per week for any season. This is NOT LET ON ITS OWN, and can only be added as an optional extra, this is ideal for large or extended families and friends, we assure any booking sole and private use of the villa and grounds. Cooling fans are provided in the pool house.
Kitchen and Bathrooms
There is a fully equipped Kitchen with all the latest time saving, energy efficient appliances and gadgets that you could expect to find in a luxury villa. For your use there is a full table and glass service for eight people, We have tried to provide everything that you could possibly need in the kitchen to make your stay enjoyable. These include Washing machine, fully integrated dishwasher, ceramic hob with induction rings, full size oven and grill, fridge freezer, Microwave with grill, Kettle, Coffee maker, and Iron. The Villa has a family bathroom with bath (shower over) WC, and a separate shower area. There is a another bathroom that is ensuite to the 3rd bedroom this has a bath with shower and a WC (3rd bedroom extra see above) and a separate cloakroom WC
Our Villa is located on the hillside of Sierra Gorda, overlooking the Gualdaforce Valleys and the town of Coín, just in land from the Mediterranean coast mid-way between Marbella and Malaga.
Coin is one of the Andalucian towns that have yet to be touched by the tourist boom. It is just far enough from the coast to be out of reach of the high-rise hotels. The beautiful village of Coín is located at the cross-roads between Marbella and Mijas and is accessed by a brand new road network.
Coin nightlife is traditionally Spanish with something to suit all tastes, from traditional tapas bars and bodegas and good restaurants to modern air conditioned wine bars to night clubs and disco's. You will find it far cheaper than in the major tourist areas and there is something for every age group. To it's credit, Coin is one of the few places close to the Costa's that remains reasonably intact so far as 'Spanish-ness' goes. It is a place full of history and fame.
Although in a rural setting just a mile from our villa is the new shopping village of “La Trocha” opened summer 2004. La Trocha has brought a superior quality of life.
The Mall houses more than 60 well-respected shops including the eminently popular El Corte Ingles Supercor, and the Coast’s favorite Dunnes store - Irelands answer to Marks & Spencer - with a formidable reputation for stocking a comprehensive selection of clothes, food and homeware from across the channel. A 7 screen cinema (showing films in Spanish and English), American-style bowling alley and a variety of restaurants and eateries to suit all tastes and budgets can all be found in this dynamic commercial centre.
Golf, Golf, Golf, The area is also known as the Cost del Golf and is home to many championship courses most are only a short drive from our villa.
The Sierra Nevada's the worlds most southerly Ski Resort is only 90 mins drive. Open October - May.

The pictures on the website do not do the villa justice it was absolutely beautiful with wonderful views. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children, the area is lovely and quiet there is a lovely bar/restaurant just at the bottom of the road. You would need car to reach beaches and big shopping areas but the village of coin has everything u need and is only 5 min drive from villa. the couple john and suzan who meet you at the villa were very friendly and accommodating and advised if we had any problems not to hesitate to contact them but thankfully we did not have one problem during our wonderful stay
I can honestly say this was the best choice of villa for our holiday it was the most perfect holiday ,we enjoyed our stay very much and would definatly return,we would highly recomend to anyone. It was very well presented spotlessley clean and had everything there to make our stay easy and comfortable. The views were amazing the area very peacefull with anything you needed pretty close by ie shops,beaches and fun days out for all the family but u definatly need transport which wasnt a problem as there are plenty of hire companys around . Would like to thank the owners for all their help and kindness and look forward to returning in the future ... 100 % Happy,

Outside this villa in Coín, SpainThis villa is in the town but in a quiet area near the mountains. It has a pool, a balcony, a barbecue, outside lighting and a garden. Car hire is recommended as the villa is less than a 15 minute walk to at least a couple of shops, bars and restaurants; however parking is available if required.
