Luxury Villa, Cadiz, all year in real Spain. Sleep 8. Lg private pool in own lg garden. Mins from blue flag beaches, golf, sporting activities, history etc.
Imagine a holiday in a luxury villa in a tranquil location with swimming pool and within a 5 minute drive to the shops, bars, doctors & miles of stunning beaches.....
Only just over a 2-hour flight from Stanstead UK, other carriers fly to Gibraltar (about 1 hour drive), Seville (1 hour drive) Faro (2 ½ hour drive), Malaga (2 ½ drive), Villa Malvarosa is situated in authentic Southern Spain, the heart of Andalusia with its Sherry and "bodegas", its flamenco, bulls and horses, its "white villages" and natural parks.
It is to be found in a very quiet rural area which is approximately 30 minute drive from the nearest airport, Jerez. Just off a main road & about 500 yards down a dirt track (It can get a bit muddy in the winter) you will find it far enough away, not to hear any major traffic.
The Villa is a modernised property in a superb location in the center of a small hamlet which is surrounded by protected Pine Trees.
Beaches near Villa Malvarosa
There are some fantastic beaches approximately 2km away which will lead you to the Costa de la Luz (Coast of light). This is in the western part of the Andalucía coastline that faces out to the Atlantic. The sand is finer and a more golden colour than the neighboring Costa del Sol & the Mediterranean. The typical beaches here are more expansive and usually backed by sand dunes and pine trees. Perfect for family holidays. This part of the coast has not seen the high-rise hotel development of other areas like the Costa de Sol.
Ask yourself, how many Spanish go on holiday to the Costa de Sol? We have discovered their secret...

A very nice villa in a nice part of spain, if you want to see spain without the big noise of the holiday hotspots this is the place for you. A hire car is a must as its quite a way from any shops.

A lovely Villa with an excellent pool, very well kept and well furnished/equipped. We loved this part of Spain, first time on the Atlantic coast and truly back to the Spain of old, not a Kings Head, Queens Arms or Fish and Chip shop anywhere to be seen and a lovely setting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and also liked Chiclana We also got out and about a little, visiting the beach (La Barrosa), which is fabulous and also drove down to Bolonia beach, equally lovely but about an hours drive.
Restaurants and bars at the beach and in Chiclana were all very good as was the food we bought from the indoor market at Chiclana, with steaks to die for on the BBQ.
We had great weather for 1st week in Sept, mostly around 30 degrees so overall the whole experience was great and the owner communications and instruction were spot on.
A car is a must and taking our sat nav was a god send in getting anywhere, never got lost once.
We would Villa Malvarosa this to anyone

We had an excellent holiday. The location of the villa is well off a main road, is not overlooked so is very peaceful and quiet.
The villa was comfortable inside and excellent outside, and as we spent most of the day out....thats the really important factor.
The two main bedrooms were a very good size.
A large plot with shaded seating for outside eating, the pool was excellent in size and depth.
The bar- b -q was fabulous and we enjoyed three during our stay
What could be better than to pick your lemon off the tree to go with your g&t!
All facilities were not far away by car, supermarket, beach and shops.
Being within the Spanish community and not a "Costa tourist" area the prices were fantastic in the supermarkets restaurants and bars, your money will really go a long way.
Gibraltar is well worth a visit, we had a fantastic day there, but TAKE ENGLISH MONEY if you do, there exchange rates for the Euro are extortionate!
I can really recommend this villa, the local agent Leigh was fantastic and couldnt have done more or been any more helpful, excellent directions and communication throughout from the owner and really fantastic value for money.
Go and enjoy.......were booking again very soon.

Unexpected welcome pack - very welcome at journeys end
Helpful villa management
Secluded sunny spot
Near to airport and to Cadiz
Wireless network that works
Free to air Sky channels on TV
Good selec tion of maps and information leaflets in Villa
Few minutes to uncrowded sandy beautiful beach
Lots of nice bars and restaurants nearby
Nice indoor market in Chlclana
Easy parking everywhere
Proximity to Cadiz
Unspoilt very spanish local environment
Nice local people willing to help with pigeon spanish
Cooling breeze ( very windy actually)
Lemon tree in garden - delicious lemonade
Fans in rooms on lights
Some excellent restaurants easily accessible
Cons (all easily and cheaply rectified)
Cooling breeze (strength when we visited rendering only outside table unusable) but this is luck of the draw
Lack of outside table in front sheltered patio (in lee of wind) - had to improvise with chairs from the inside dining set - table cost €50? Max.
dishwasher would be very good
No cool box for beach - impractical to bring by Ryanair but essential and about €13 locally
No beach towels - impractical with Ryanair but only €5 each locally
Basic cooking equipment missing e.g no lids to pans, lemon squeezer (now rectified by us), no oven gloves
Basic bathrooms and showers could be usefully refreshed!
Beach equipment and cushions very very tired or worn out
Dimmer on lights in lounge would be helpful
Barbecue wire brush worn out completely replacement cost €0.75
Battery on smoke alarm not replaced despite request mid week
Pros outweigh the Cons easily, and the cons can all easily be dealt with most with very very limited expense.

This was a lovely villa in a nice setting with some local walks that we discovered and very convenient to get to places. However there were a few drawbacks - a little aerated in the cooler time of year, barking dogs from neighbours and a small freezer. Some might find the unmade road a bit of a challenge but we were okay as our hire car was a bit long in the tooth! We would definitely consider staying in the villa again.

A warm welcome upon arrival. The welcome pack was a nice touch. For the price the villa is a bargain. Lovely pool and garden area. Only suggestion would be to remove both fridges and replace with a fridge / freezer and a dishwasher. Location is down a somewhat bumpy lane, but you soon get use to it. Superb beaches within a few minutes drive.Excellent Supermarkets almost on the doorstep. An ideal villa to explore this wonderful area of Spain.

Overall I had a really great experience. The region is wonderful with so much to see and do. I did absolutely loads and loved every minute. The villa is wonderfully private and quiet. This is a seriously great place to relax and unwind. Cadiz and Jerez are both very close by and soooo interesting. Some of the white villages are also close by - I simply loved Vejer and also Arcos (though the latter is a little farther it is still not all that far) Barossa which is only 10 minutes away is a lovely resort with excellent restaurants - I had wonderful food through out the trip, the fish is superb.
The website was fine and accurate, overall Malvarosa was just what I expected.
A great choice you have made with Villa Management, Kim and Dave are incredibly helpful and friendly. Dave keeps the garden and pool in tip-top condition (commented on by many of my guests). I had several reasons to contact them (lost electricity and water), Dave was there in minutes and simply doesnt leave until the problem has been addressed he can detect problems and deal with them quickly and efficiently. I also had a small problem with my car and, again, Dave was brilliant. He tracked down appropriate mechanics for me and even came with me to Jerez to sort it out
I was VERY impressed indeed - you should certainly aim to hang on to them
After staying at the Villa for several months I left 6 pages of notes in the visitor’s book which I hope will help future visitors.
The value of the Villa holiday was excellent, the quality of furniture / equipment / decor could be improved but overall these are not too serious and certainly didnt detract from my enjoyment, overall I thought it was very good value. The overall expectations of the Villa did meet my wishes along with my guests and I would recommend very strongly the Villa to my Friends & Family but would make it very clear that the location makes a car is essential.
Hi everyone, after the great feedback we had last year (2007), both positive & constructive. We have made sure we have acted as promised where we can.Whilst our average score was 5 stars, we know there were one or two who made small comments about the cleanliness that we were unhappy to learn. Therefore we have changed the Villa management to give far better cleanliness and maintainace standards. Also as before you will continue to get as part of the Malvarosa package, the high standards of a meet & greet, a tour of the villa, plus emergency contact numbers, and so on. Plus we will make sure that in future all guests receive a small complimentary pack (This is not to replace the full welcome pack). Also over the next few days I will change the site so that the children’s equipment (push chair, cot & so on) will be free of charge, however you will need to let us know if you need these before you go out.The road to the Villa unfortunately has not progressed, just that ‘it is being worked on!’ Maniana!! However for the sake of going at 5 ~ 10km per hr, rather than 20km per hr for a few hundred mtrs, I’m sure you’ll find it’s worth it for the clean air, and, piece & quiet! We have also invested and purchasing a complete new set of garden furniture. Updated / refreshed some of the smaller items that were starting to go tatty. Plus purchased a new set of bedding. Also we have upgraded the fire / smoke alarm system to give much better coverage. Also in the pipeline is a far easier welcome pack, and once this is completed I’ll put it on the ‘Malvarosa Villa’ web site for download for all guests who book a holiday so they can get familiar with the Villa before they set off.Tania.
Would highly recommend villa relaxing holiday with super scenery, fab weather for time year. will go back.
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Malvarosa during the beginning of May Bank Holiday 2005. The owners had pre-warned us about the construction that was ongoing to improve the villa, so we were not too concerned by this. The villa itself was quite spacious as 7 adults comfortably fit in, and was well located to beaches, shops and restaurants. I think that this will be a wonderful retreat once the improvements are complete. The only negatives that I found were that the hot water system was too small if you have a full villa, and the access road to the villa needs some grading (only a short stretch of 500m).
Villa Latest Update From the owners:For information to all our booked, and future guests we are busy over April improving the Villa Malvarosa experience. We are building a 2-meter brick wall around the property to give more privacy & helping to give a much better appearance to the garden. We have also decided that the new seeded lawn has not established itself to the standard we want; therefore we are turfing the entire grass area with quality turf. Along with this we are also putting in a large outdoor barbeque & seating area. Inside, a new staircase is being built which will better help access the top bedroom; as the current spiral staircase was too steep for some of our guests. Also we have put in a DVD player, so take some disks with you if you want. All this will be completed this month (subject to the Spanish builders!)I am hoping that we will have some new updated pictures towards the end of April 05, as soon as I do I will update the current pictures & the website details.Best RegardsTania
