Wonderful opportunity to rent a beautiful apartment with 180 degree views,5 minutes from the beach.
This upper floor apartment, situated on the El Pinar de San Gines development in La Azohia is a spacious three bedroom which is rented as a two bedroom as one room is reserved for the owners personal belongings.
Consequently, the additional space means renters get the advantage of a spacious lounge /dining room, a fully fitted kitchen, double and twin single bedroom, a bed settee, two bathrooms (one with shower and one with bath and shower), a spacious veranda with awning and a huge rooftop solarium offering spectacular 180 degree views across Mazarron bay.
The property is 5 minutes walk from the beach and a communal swimming pool is seconds away and easily visible from the solarium.
There is a rooftop barbecue and ample seating available outside for up to 10 people.
The fully fitted kitchen includes a microwave, washing machine , fridge-freezer and dishwasher and an extendable washing line and drying rack is provided .
There is 24/7 WiFi available , as well as a cd player, dvd player , flat screen TV, numerous books and family games and a chest brimming with beach equipment such a snorkels and goggles, flippers, boules, an inflatable dinghy, buckets and spades etc for the children.
La Azohia itself is a tranquil area only 18 minutes drive from the bustling town of Puerto de Mazarron and 40 minutes from the beautiful city of Cartagena. A regular bus service runs to both these locations.
The area is perfectly suited to family holidays with great opportunities to dive, swim, fish, walk, sail, sunbathe, go kayaking, sight-seeing or simply relax in one of the seafront bars, beach bars or restaurants. Walks on the hills and mountains immediately adjacent to the apartment provide superb views and an opportunity to see the local flora and fauna. The beach front gets busy in high season and several beach bars and restaurants remain busy throughout the summer, but this is not the place for someone looking for a 'Benidorm type' holiday. The atmosphere is altogether more relaxed and family friendly and in Summer months it is not unusual to see families barbecuing on the beach well into the small hours.
We recommend that visitors hire a car as there is only one relatively small supermarket in La Azohia itself, but there is a Coveran supermarket in Isla Plana -10 minutes away by car and of course , numerous shops in Puerto de Mazarron. A car also provides the flexibility to visit some of the local historical sites and places of interest.
There is a wealth of history in the area including the 15th century watchtower in La Azohia itself, the 'must see' huge gun battery at Cabo de Tinoso from WW2 , Roman remains in Isla Plana , an amphitheatre and maritime museum in cartagena ...there are even preserved wrecks from Phoenician times in Mazarron Bay itself. Just 20 minutes away in Bolnuevo are some surreal looking cliffs eroded into beautiful shapes by water and wind which are also well worth a visit. Minimum booking seven nights. There is no smoking inside the property but you can smoke on the veranda or roof terrace.
