Home Description
THE ACCOMMODATION IS STYLISH AND MODERN (built 2006) the entry terrace has table and chairs for that evening meal catching the warmth of the day.
There is a private upper solarium for those who like to top up their sun tan while spending a relaxing day. Accomodation downstairs consists of lounge with fire, dining room, fitted kitchen, a double master bedroom with en-suit facilities and a twin bedroom with shower, bathroom.
The third bedroom,upstairs, is self contained with twin beds and en-suite facilities, it has patio doors out to the roof solarium with a bar-b-q and garden furniture.
Access to upstairs is from the kitchen via an outside staircase.
The villa is located a short distance from the 18 hole golf club and spar hotel with multi pool complex .
The site is well served with a supermarkets, restaurants, bars, bank, dentist, medical facilities, bowling alley, and internet cafe for that all important home contact ( Low cost tel. calls available).
The nearest beach, marina and markets are at Puerto de Mazarron 15mins drive away.

The area is the centre for a huge choice of activities on sea and land including a national park ( Sierra de Espuna) a short drive away. For Guided walks in the area contact Dragontours on sector A or one of the two walking groups on site. For other holidays check with Dragon tours.

There is a large communal pool on sector A (3 euro per person per day in summer) with cafe, bar and restaurant on site. There is a riding school close by.

GOLFERS are particularly well catered for with an 18 hole course on site and one of the top Spanish courses Haciende Del Alamo designed by Dave Thomas within 15 mins away. There are also 8 other courses designed by Jack Nicklaus within an area ranging up to one hour drive away.

The location is home or holiday base for many Brits and has a friendly, welcoming, atmosphere.
This makes the area, which has one of the lowest crime rates in Spain, ideal for families, couples or friends wanting a mix of relaxation and activity.

Mazarron/ Camposol area
The COSTA CALIDA has a mild mediterranean climate with an average 320 days of sunshine per year. Winter temp 10-22 degrees and summer 18-36 degrees. CAMPOSOL is a beautiful modern complex set on a low lying valley with panoramic mountain views. It isnt surprising that many people holidaying here never leave the site and its attractions. These include a 18 hole golf course (From 25 euro per round)with large modern club house overlooking the greens, open to the public.There is a driving range(1 euro per pot) and the club has entertainment open to the public during the summer. A Spar hotel next door has public access to bar, restaurant and multi pool complex, There is a supermarket, shops, restaurants (chinese, Italian, Spanish, fish, pizza and Indian) bars with entertainment, bowling alley, tennis, internet centre, DIY store, Medical centre, dentist, Pharmacy, Gym. The Port of Mazarron is 15mins away and has an excellent beach with beach side restaurants and bars along its tree lined promenade.There is two Marinas and a large Sunday and evening market (during summer). The local area offers sailing trips, diving, hang gliding, horse trecking, walking of various grades, deep sea fishing, Dolphin and whale watching, mountain biking and watersports. Guided walking can be arranged through Dragontours office on sector A location 10€ for walk, meal and drink. Festivals are held in the area during Jan, Feb, Mar, Jul and September.
The town of Lorca 40 mins away has an interesting hill top fort and is excellent for shopping.
The ancient city and port of Cartagena is 45mins away and is well worth a visit hostorically and shopping wise.
Unlike some of the more developed areas of Spain there is a very low crime rate here.

the complex is still not finished and where the villa is situated on the complex there is nothing in walking distance at all the shops and resturants are a 10 min drive about a good hours walk. the villa if maintained would have been very good value for money but as it was the step to the outside stairs fell into pieces and severly bruised my dads shin and we had several leaks one from shower above and one when it rained there was a big puddle on the floor in the lounge. there was rising damp in every room and our suitcases after only 12 days stay were covered in mould. it said there was sky but it never worked so that left us just watching dvds and seen as we are all sports addicts left us very disappointed it also states that there is access to a shared swimming pool and tennis courts but there wasnt one all in all if all these things were corrected than you would have a great time that is value for money but until the maintenance is dealt with then beware

While the complex is not complete there is no work being undertake close to the villa. The shops etc are 5mins drive away and the villa information clearly states a car is essential. The communal pool(open in the summer) and the tennis courts are located on sector A.The problem with the step or the damp have not been reported by previous tennants. However, maintenance of the villa is important to us, as it is privately owned, and will be corrected prior to the next booking. It is assumed that the damp is a result of the leak and will be removed when the repair is completed. The satelite supply company (Telimicro) have gone out of business recently and a new supplier is being sort asap.
