Small misunderstanding where the meeting place was. We had received the coordinates of the owner, but the key manager said to come to gas station, but we were already at the house in the end. Friendly man as well as the owners are very helpful. The house is tip fine, you could not fault it. It is indeed a jumble to get up with a normal car, 4x4 is advisable if you want to drive up a little easier and not be afraid that you have the bottom of the car that hits pits and stones. Something different in itself and has yielded beautiful photos. Coziness in the evening with the lighting of the village, was very pleasant. However, there was hardly anything to see within 2 km which is in the description: restaurants, bars, shops? Nothing found that was open in Arenas itself. Little ghost town. We wanted the owners' tip to try eating in Velez Malaga, but that restaurant had a different name in the meantime and was closed like many others in Velez Malaga in September, very strange. Nerja is definitely a must to visit and to see around Both the town of Nerja and the bays / beaches are worth the effort. Had a nice vacation, we would like to take the house with us to our vacation, very nice and nice accommodation where a lot of care and love was put into it.

It is exactly as in the description and you can see on the pictures. Excellent reception. The road up the mountain is the first time getting used to but after day two you have already forgotten. Have you forgotten something with groceries take you then you do not go back quickly since it takes quite a bit of time to get to the shops again. If you are looking for crowds then this is a completely wrong place. We were looking for peace and minimal people around us and it was therefore an excellent place. With a lot of pleasure we look back on the 10 days that we have been able to spend here.

Beautiful location on top of a hill, with a beautiful view of the village of Arenas and the surrounding mountains. House is top notch, all the amenities you could wish for. Lots of shade, plenty of sun beds around the pool with comfortable pillows. Beds ok, good aircon. Wifi worked perfectly, also TV. Road to it is steep and quite long (20 minutes to the bottom) but best to do if you take the time. It's a holiday, isn't it? In return you get a lot of peace and beautiful views on top of your mountain. Occasionally some noise from the village, but at night it was not too bad. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful villa, phenomenal view, excellent reception, spectacular route to the house, not for people with heights

A lot has been written about the way to Casa Maroma and everything is correct. It is a challenging mountain road that you can easily take in a normal car. Occasionally you have to go up in the first gear! The ride costs 20 minutes each time. Casa Maroma is a nice holiday home with all the comfort. A lovely pool and plenty of opportunity to sit around the house in the sun or shade. Excellent facilities in the house. WiFi excellent. The other two bedrooms are located in the adjoining annex that can not be reached through the main building. So if you let children sleep in those bedrooms and you sleep in the master bedroom in the main building, you can not go to them at night. We were there in the first half of August and had a lot of wasps and evening of mosquitoes, which you could barely see, could not hear, but which frequently stopped. At one time I had 30 mosquito bites. During the last 4 days I had a lot of noise from the village party in Arenas. The thumping, loud music lasts until 7 o'clock in the morning! Environment is fine. Nice and authentic villages are Frigiliana and Competa. We went to Nerja a few times. Cozy seaside resort. Nice center. In the evening also very nice.Malaga is a nice city. Beautiful shopping streets. Be sure to visit the Moorish castle Alcazaba. More beautiful than I expected.

Great welcome, beautiful house, beautiful location in a beautiful area.

Verhees Sep 2017

Prima house, equipped with all comforts such as air conditioning, covered terraces, sun terrace, swimming pool, spacious kitchen with all the necessities, even freezer. A nice view. You are about 15 minutes drive from town with restaurants. Road to the house is not so good, but once you've driven it a few times, you take this because of the view and the beautiful house on sale.

Houtsmuller Jul 2017

We only arrived late but no problem for our key holder! Welcome with a nice bottle of cold cava! Were already in this house, just as enthusiastic!

Diepvints Jul 2017

Great house, spectacular views, beautiful location. All facilities are available. Kitchen equipment, air conditioning. TV, internet. With our family staying two weeks and relaxing. The kids were very excited about the swimming pool and the garden. Just a little bit of the mosquitoes. Take enough mosquito milk! The comment about the road to the house is only half way. Fits best with you. Preferably a car with GPS.

Once you reach the top (though was exiting the 1st time, and you have to think a lot further than you initially) is great to relax in Casa Maroma! Fully equipped (large fridge, large freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, TV with Dutch channels, gas BBQ on the patio, swimming pool, library with Dutch books, beds made on arrival, keukenkastjes filled with herbs) and with stunning views over Arenas. We had a wonderful week!

Kuijlen Oct 2016

The coordination in achieving the holiday needs to improve in my opinion. Accommodation was excellent and complete. The area was as we had hoped.

Bruining Sep 2016

Same as last year!

Smeets Jul 2016

The accommodation is very nice and quiet. Plenty of space and a lovely pool. An observant tip continues to route to the cottage. That requires some steerage and mountain experience. But once upstairs it is certainly worth it.

Van Velzen May 2016

A wonderful week at Casa Maroma! The first x the mountain to get used to but after that it's all fine. The interior of the house is complete and looks neat and tidy. All in all a great holiday which we lacked nothing!

Bruining Sep 2015

Wijnans Sep 2015

For tranquility lovely pool.

Escalante Aug 2015

It was a nice holiday with all the trimmings! It felt like you were at home. The road to the little house was very adventurous, too bad that the cottage was so dominant, and the roads were so bad! Few days had bad luck with wifi!

Tielbeke Jul 2015

We, two children aged 11 and 13, and three adults have really enjoyed this well kept and cozy house on a hill with fantastic views. Peace, space, a swimming pool and a house outside which invites you to enjoy delicious. You want entertainment then you are within a half hour to 45 minutes at various locations in abundance in the Andalusian life or on the beach. On the site is that it's a pretty exciting road is the last 2km. But if you've done it once is very bad. Moreover, there are two options "at the dirt short route to arenas, or slightly longer paved (18 min.) Where you come near the highway. Is that bad, certainly not anything to stop you by. Besides enjoying on our mountain we visited often on the road.

J.G.J. Peek Aug 2014

Very nice holiday home on a hill. Beautiful views and good free. Completely furnished with beautiful and very complete kitchen, outdoor seating areas and pool. We had a wonderful week. The road to the house, hill, not good for fear fallen drivers. Are you accustomed to what it is not a problem. The first to arrive in the dark, like us, is a challenge.

H.J.J.M. Smeets Aug 2014

Great holiday home with fantastic views. Air-conditioning in the house, nice pool, a lovely terrace and modern fully equipped kitchen. Although conveniently located to coastal towns like Malaga and Nerja take the 6-kilometer mountain stage to the house to as "n 30 minutes. This road is not suitable for people with fear of steep slopes and narrow roads.

P. De Wolf Jun 2013

Find your peace and privacy, this is a wonderful house. The view is beautiful: below you lies Arenas and around you are mighty mountains. And on the other side you can see the coast. The house is well equipped and has 2 bedrooms with a private entrance, very suitable for older children or 2 (or 3) ask. The facilities are excellent. you realize that the road to the house is partly steep and unpaved. So not suitable for timid drivers.

If you imagine the perfect vacation, I think back here. Everything was top.
