Holiday cottage, away from mass tourism, situated in the heart of Andalusia on a hill near Villanueva de la Concepción with numerous almond trees and olive groves. There are beautiful views to the natural park of El Torcal and desfiladero de los Gaitanes near Antequera. The house is part of a traditional Spanish villa and completely restored using original materials, so that the original atmosphere remained.
There are several terraces; one is in front with a comfortable seating area shaded by a pergola covered with grape vines. You will find sunny or shady places to rest and relax, to enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun or a glass of wine in the evening with views to the mountains and beautiful sunsets. The swimming pool, maintained and available all year round, is situated in a patio surrounded with hedge and offers cozy privacy.
Excursions are easily to be made to the Andalusian cities, like Antequera with Europe's most important prehistoric dolmens, since 2016 UNESCO World Heritage Site. As well as numerous places of interest of Moorish past, such as the impressive mosque of Cordoba and the world-famous Alhambra of Granada.
Nearby you should not miss the kings path Caminito del Rey through the El Chorro gorge.
The owners, a German couple, will be your hosts and can advise you, recommend restaurants or give you tips for excursions.
They are engaged with organic farming and processing of products (such as jams, fresh eggs, vegetables, almonds, virgin olive oil), with sustained commitment to social projects, the responsible handling of animals and the preservation of nature.

A challenge for any golfer who can enjoy the game with every strokeHikingYou can walk directly from our house.And there are several hiking trails, as well as in the El Torcal Natural Park and the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes also Natural Park with the Kingspath Caminito del Rey Royal Path in the Chorro Gorge, or the La Escaleruela hiking trail.Trail Ruta de la Escaleruela (1 km)La Escaleruela is on the eastern side of El Torcal Natural Park and is an old road about 1000m above sea level.Up to quite recently it was the only way to get to Antequera from the south, for shopping, medical help and entertainment. It is a track of great beauty and a haven for many endangered species.Nature Park El Torcal (15 km) - has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2016The park is one of the most impressive examples of Karstic landscapes in Europe; with unusual rock stacks like cheese rings. These rocks emerged from the sea floor during the Jurassic period.One can take different walks once on El Torcal, for example for the intrepid, the “Ruta Verde” or “Ruta Amarilla”.Other places of interest are the “Mirador de la Ventanillas” and “El Mirador de Diego Monea”.Inside the Information Centre there is an exhibition where the visitor can discover more about the natural features and history of the park.Observatory Observatorio Astronómico del Torcal (15 km)The observatory, which is located next to the visitor center "Torcal Alto" in the nature park El Torcal of Antequera offers you the opportunity to observe the sun during the day and at night the impressive activities of the stars or the Saturn and its rings.Nature Park Desfiladero de los Gaitanes (15 km)A special highlight for all is the renovated and reopened royal path "Caminito del Rey", built along the walls of the Chorro Gorge.
