Another lovely relaxing stay at cortijo fuente arriba. Arrived just after the torrential rain fall which had washed away access road but this was cleaned up rapidly. Thankfully we had booked a collection from the airport through John, the property owner. Property has everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Enjoyed some different walks we hadn't completed on our last visit and enjoyed a cold beer with tapas as a reward as we watched the Spanish world go by from either of the bars in the village. Loved roasting the fresh almonds which were falling off the trees in abundance.Delicious. Bbq was quite small but sufficient for us to prepare our evening meals and count the stars as they appeared. Again.an ideal location for a break. Would probably want to hire a car if staying longer .Read more
We had an excellent stay, John and Moira couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. John gave us good advice re buses from the airport to lubrin and back. The walking was outstanding made easy with John’s route cards. The pool was fantastic and always kept meticulously clean. The village, which was only a five minute stroll away, gave us a great oportunity to immerse ourselves in a traditional Spanish culture. We had a fantastic time.Read more
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Rincon in Lubrin. Weather was good, so having own pool was a bonus. Walking distance to sweet little village and tapas in Bar La Plaza-excellent. Nice area, good people as described by the owner. We had a pleasant ,relaxing holiday and definitely want to come back again one day. Ela and Marek ,LondonRead more

As we live rurally we are used to piece and quiet , however it is very quiet but relaxing . You defiantly need a car . The plunge pool was a god send, but hadn't been checked for a few days prior to our visit, this is paramount. Contacted the owner ; his communication was brilliant and the pool was sorted within 3hrs,the pool man returned daily to check it . The views are disappointing (factory and sea containers !) Also in the evening had a chorus of dogs barking and yapping for a couple of hours , but if you love dogs then that wont bother you . The municipal pool is lovely (€2 each), the tapas at the bar is delicious and good value. The walk to Lubrin is literally over the hill ; is a quiet large village - butchers offer fantastic meat ; are very accommodating. A friendly place Kitchen utensils could do with an upgrade . overall a pleasant stayRead more
We enjoyed our stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful; the property was well equipped, with a great location (in countryside, but within short walking distance of Lubrin) and had two outdoor seating areas. The owner arranged the hire of mountain bikes, which were of excellent quality and made travelling on the local tracks fun. The owner supplied route maps, which helped with the planning of routes. However, we did need to use Googlemaps to sort out navigation difficulties. We really enjoyed the Festival of Bread which falls on 20th January in Lubrin. We found Lubrin to be friendly, pretty, Spanish speaking (very few people speak English) and cheap to eat out in. The mountain biking, scenery, almond blossom and the bird song and variety of bird species were our highlights.Read more
