Walk past the marina and you are into the neighbouring resort of Golf Del Surwhere there are more bars, restaurants and shops with nightly entertainment in the main square. Los Cristianos is a mere 10-15 minute drive where you will find golden sandy beaches and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife before you return back to the relative peacefulnes of La Quinta Villa and the resort of Amarilla Golf.
Perfect for the kids but not much space for the adults around the pool. We did however have 2 toddlers which meant the women did not really have time for relaxing. I know it is not law to have the pool fenced off but it would have been a big plus.

Caroline and Bill from Bonnie Scotland. The villa is simply furnished and homely with everything you would need. (Barring an important item - a safe ) - dont know why there isnt one. Jim and Eileen, the Caretakers, who stay just over the road, are extremely helpful. The big attraction for me was the villas own pool, worth paying extra to have it heated. Nice little garden around the villa, with night lights that come on, on approach. Situated on the golf course, the villa was so peaceful, very occasionally a golfers voice from over the wall could be heard. The other sounds were the quiet twitter of the birds and occasional bark from the dog next door, but it did not disturb us, just nice to know someone was there! Have to mention the two cats that appeared first morning, previous visitors having enjoyed them during their stay, according to the comments in the visitors book, however, as one of us was allergic, they were discouraged with a shoo and knew not to come back while we were there. There is a high netted fence on one side erected for the purpose of blocking a stray golf ball, however, an odd one did manage to land in the pool, but we didnt find it a problem. We are regular visitors to the area, love the scenery, the peacefulness and so we cannot fault it. Just beautiful, quiet, with lovely sea walks, great to stop at El Nautico for a coffee or a cool drink .(Excellent menu) Plenty places to dine, especially in San Blas. Particularly enjoy our visit to Marias Restaurant on Thursday evenings, next to (El Nautico) with the opportunity to dance to Will Applebys saxaphone music. If youre not a dancer it is nice background music while you eat. If it was possible we would add several more stars. Cant wait to go back.

The villa wasnt very clean when we arrived, with 3 small children toys etc... were strewn over the floor and you could see the level of dirt and dust under the chairs, tables etc... When walking bare foot you could feel the grit under your feet and they were black. We were not comfortable with putting the baby down on the floor. My husband actually cleaned the whole floor in the villa as he was not happy with the cleanliness of the place, both swept and mopped.
In the description a safe is mentioned however we searched for this and when we asked the local contact we were informed the villa has 2 safes however both are locked away by the owners, therefore the information is incorrect.
Most importantly the villa is located in a very dangerous location on the golf course and during our stay had many golf balls into the villa. It started at just a couple but as the week went on there was an increasing amount coming into the villa. One just missed by husbands head when we were sat at the table outside and hit the shuttered door. It then progressed to hitting the roof which must happen frequently as the tiles are smashed on the roof and landing in the pool. We were too frightened to sit outside in the end as they landed in the pool whilst I was sitting on the side with the baby. Its far too dangerous to sit around outside.
The pool is a good size and was cleaned a number of times during our week there. There are some local restaurants and some further ones approx 20 mins walk away towards the marina. Facilities inside the villa were good, the kitchen was well stocked for utensils etc...

We had a very enjoyable holiday in 11B Casas Del Sol. The apartment had everything we needed, the staff were very helpful (had to get the kettle replaced as the one provdied kept tripping the switch) but had a replacement the following day. Apartment was cleaned twice in the week which I thought was a great service (normally only get 1 cleaning a week). We had beautiful weather, maybe could have done with an extra big fan (as one of the days reached a high of 48 degrees with a burning wind - aparently this only happens one day in the year) so could have done with the extra cooling down. Overall had a great holiday, beautiful place, friendly and helpful staff, neighbours very nice, will definitely be returning.

The villa is in the most perfect place in Playa Blanca- close to the shops and restaurants, which are a five minute walk away. But the complex remains quiet and restful. The gardens are exotic and looked after well. The pool was always clean and pleasant to swim in, and we all enjoyed sunbathing around the poolside. The reception staff were all helpful and polite.
The only quibble I could find would be that the villa could do with some better cutlery and perhaps better cooking equipment.
We upgraded the pots and pans and knves and forks recently
